This well appointed apartment is located in the heart of central Paris, between Place des Victories and rue  Saint Honoré, just minutes walk to the Louvre Museum, the Palais Royal, and the Seine river.  An excellent location for visiting Paris on foot. The Louvre apartment is on the first floor (one flight of steps) of a typical Parisian apartment building from the mid-1800s.  The apartment has been recently renovated,  with a new kitchen area and new furnishings/beds (purchased Oct 2002). 

The entryway leads directly into the main living area, with an open plan kitchen area/ living room. The kitchen area has 4 stovetop burners, a small fridge, microwave and all the basic kitchen necessities. There is a built-in dining table area for eating meals.

The living space includes a futon style sleeper sofa (sleeps 2), armchairs, TV (cable such as CNN and BBC) with VCR (several movies are in the apt for your enjoyment) and side tables, as well as a bookshelf with a variety of books (including guidebooks to Paris). There is a bathroom as well as a separate toilet room off the entryway. The bathroom includes 2 sinks and a bathtub/shower, as well as a clothes washer/dryer machine. The toilet room also includes a small sink and vanity (convenient to have a total of 3 sinks for family/small groups!). 

There are two bedroom areas off the living room. In one bedroom there is a Queen bed and a large built-in armoire/closet, while the second smaller bedroom includes a sofa/divan that can sleep one, or can also sleep two (pulls out easily to use as a double bed). There are dressers and nightstands in bedrooms. Additional closet space can be found in the living area.

The apartment looks out to both the small, quiet street and the building courtyard.  The apartment floors are all in tile stone from the Burgundy area of France, with rugs in each room. Walls recently repainted cream or Mediterranean yellow. The apartment has a clean and comfortable feel, and although at 48 square meters it is not a large apartment (the bedrooms are small in size) there is enough room for 3 to 6 persons, and the nightly rate for an apartment of this quality and in this central area of town is very reasonable. There are many shops and restaurants in the area, and information on local restaurants and shopping is provided in the apartment.  The main shopping area (a 5-minute walk) is the popular pedestrian street, rue Montorgueil.

The apartment includes:

• Two individual 10 m2 bedrooms each sleeping two and with built in closets, chair and side table with wardrobes, etc.
• TV with cable (CNN, BBC, movie channels) and VCR with several tapes available in the apt
• Telephone for all incoming and local outgoing or credit card calls

• Iron and ironing board, hairdryer and extra bedding supplies and two electric fans
• All taxes, linens, towels, utilities and local phone calls are included in the nightly rental rate
• Cleaning during stay as well as babysitting can be arranged in advance for an additional fee
