Newly renovated (January, 2008) one bedroom apartment that oozes
charm- wooden parquet floors, original wood beams in ceiling exposed
and lots of the
old original stone wall (19th century) was
painstakingly worked to expose
it which adds so much character to this
charming Montorgueil vacation rental apartment.

This is a great location, just a few steps from the
famed rue Montorgueil one of Paris’ oldest true Market Streets that
remains today form the old large central wholesale Marketplace
(created in 1183 and torn down in 1971). This is a very lively
pedestrian street full of cafes, shops, markets with Farmers’ fresh
produce, flowers, plus meat and cheeses shops. Of course some of the
best bakeries are just around the corner from this holiday rental as well. You are sure to
marvel everyday at the Saint Eustache Church which is just nearby,
(built between 1532 and 1632) with its soaring towers and massive
size. This is a very central location, with 3 metros stops close by and
within easy walking distance to Rue de Rivoli and the Louvre.
The property owner ensured to provide a quiet and relaxing stay
by installing new double-paned special windows, (although the
apartment itself is also on a pedestrian small street as well).
The Paris holiday rental flat is 37 m2 meters, (380 sq. ft.) and has one bedroom with a double size
bed, plus a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room. There is also
a fold-out Futon which we recommend for a young adult, or anyone who
is comfortable to sleep on the floor with this futon. (Total of 5
people). There is a bathroom with shower, sink and WC inside, which is
very modern.
The kitchenette corner offers lots of cupboard and
counter space and features; a 4 burner electric stovetop, a microwave,
an under the counter frig and plenty of dishes cutlery for all.
There is a dining table for 4 with bar-type stools.
And a couple of brand new (as of Oct 2010) easy chairs to relax in
after a day of seeing Paris.
The vacation rental apartment is bright and feels big, with the large
windows facing out to the pedestrian street. It is on the first floor
(no elevator). It features original artwork done by the owner, with
several paintings on the walls. Bring your laptop as there is Wi-Fi
connection and even a Fax for your use ! (with free local calls and
free calls to USA/Canada).

I heard about your
service from Trip advisor, it was recommended by a customer of yours. We
found the Paris vacation apartment to be exactly as we expected, and this is due to the
great photographs that were taken on the website. And the detailed
description. We also really loved the information pack that you sent - it
was very detailed and that is exactly what was needed. (eg when to use the
washing machine and when not to) I also loved the free calls and internet
connection - very handy to not have to go searching for these things when
you are away. The area was fantastic and really central with lots going on
just outside our window. The night we got in there was a music festival in
Paris and we watched as a set of decks were set up right outside our
window. The music was pumping and people were dancing in the street till
3am and we were just hanging out our window enjoying it all. It was such a
treat as usually, with kids we would be stuck in the apartment at night.
The noise didn't worry us at all as it was part of the fun and we were so
jet lagged and the window glazing was very good. The only disappointment
was the Tv cable which was not working. We think that the remote batteries
were flat. I also think that the apartment description was that there was
a flat screen TV but there was only a tiny portable TV It wasn't a big
deal as we weren't there very much, but it would be nice to have a kids
channel for the downtime between excursions.

I received the refund check for my
rental security deposit
yesterday, thank you!
I want to thank you also for the excellent
service you have provided throughout this process. I have used many
agencies for European stays over the course of 12 years, and you have been
one of the most seamless and comfortable to work with, perhaps even the
best.
Every promise you made, you kept. The apartment was exactly
as advertised, clean and Chloe, the contact, was delightful and helpful.
Please know that we appreciate your professionalism. You made it all
so easy! Janet M., San Diego, CA
Perfect location, Lovely
apartment. #192 We found the apartment easily although it should be
noted the street is closed to traffic most of the time so be ready to walk
a hundred yards or so with your bags. Everything was as the site said ,
with lots of space, decent kitchen, and a great spot to be based. We could
walk to 3 different metro stations, and were within walking distance of
many attractions. The bedroom was spacious enough and the sofa bed was
surprisingly comfortable! Our only gripe being that beside the sofa, there
was not nearly enough comfortable seating in the apartment after a long
day. The spare junior sofa bed is very small and we did not use it, but I
would say it was only suitable for a child or very small adult! The TV was
also very small, but this wasn't really a problem as there wasn't much we
could enjoy anyway! Unlike other reviews we read about this apartment, we
found the street to be very quiet, considering how busy Rue Montorgueil
gets at night this was a welcome surprise. There are 2 restaurants
opposite, but they did not pose any noise problem-indeed it was lovely
sitting with the windows open watching the world go by below. The photo's
don't really do the apartment justice, as the large windows are a big plus
for this reason.
We ate locally most nights as there were loads of
restaurants to choose from. We particularly like "Au Clare de la Lune on
the corner of Rue Francaise just up the road for fabulous Algerian food,
and "Marie Stuart" on the fantastic Rue Montorgueil which was traditional.
The waiters everywhere we went were charming and friendly to our two
children aged 8 and 10. Unfortunately the prices were incredibly high
especially the wine.
it was lovely to pop out in the morning and
buy croissants and bread, whilst watching the shopkeepers set up-it is a
really good street to be near, and there was a superb market in the
adjacent street on Sundays. All in all, just perfect ! We would
definitely stay again. Les S. from Sutton Coldfield , UK
Perfect Location #192 Our twelve night stay at this property could not
have been better. The apartment was clean, tastefully decorated, quiet and
comfortable. There was plenty of room to unpack and lots of shelving in
the bathroom.
The Montorgueil area of Paris is a wonderful
location. There are plenty of excellent restaurants and shops of all
kinds. The atmosphere was so festive, we ended up eating out more than
planned although the kitchen was more than adequate for cooking. After
sampling various boulangeries, the exalted Stohrer did turn out to be our
favorite for croissants and other delicacies.
It was easy to walk
to many museums and visit other nearby neighborhoods. The subway and taxis
were easily accessible.
The free Wi-Fi and telephone were an added
bonus. It enabled us to keep in touch with our aged family members.
Everything in the apartment was in good working order.
In short,
the apartment was just as advertised and even better. Vip provided us with
excellent service, especially when our trip had to be rescheduled due to
the April eruption of the volcano in Iceland.
