Comments:Pros: The location is fabulous - awesome! It's located near trendy boutiques, antique shops, and you are surrounded with great bars and cafes. The metro, The Seine and Notre Dame are within walking distance. The apartment, although small, was clean and furnished nicely. The apartment manager was helpful in showing us the surrounding area and recommending sights. Cons: If you have mobility issues, there's 3 flights of stairs, the drying machine was broken.

Comments:There needs to be more light in the apartment. The lamps, etc, were minimal and were too dim. I had some problems figuring out how to fully operate the washer/dryer and microwave until I found a website where I could download English language copies of the owners manuals. After I got the manuals, it was easy. The location was excellent!

Comments:Everything was as reflected on the website. A lovely little apartment, if a bit dark, which I think is perhaps typical in Europe, compared to North America, due to concerns over energy conservation. We did not receive the complementary bottle of wine, perhaps overlooked because the property manager had a conflict and left the keys in the mailbox rather than meeting me in person. Not a big deal. We LOVED the St. Paul neighbourhood. The only downside was that I was pick-pocketed on our departure just after entering the Bastille metro station, where we were catching the metro to connect with a train to Amsterdam. Laden with a heavy suitcase, backpack and handbag, I guess I was an easy target. Thankfully, I lost only some cash, and not my passport, as a passing local woman saw what the pickpocket was doing and called out to him. He threw my passport (taken from two zippered pockets in my cross body handbag) to the ground and departed with my Canadian dollars.

Comments:Wonderful location, loved the apartment. Our friends who have used Vacation in Paris several times before said they thought this the nicest rental they had seen and would try to book this one next time, so we felt lucky to have chosen it. We never did figure out how to use the metro and get to the exit station nearest the apartment. It is an "exit only" and right around the corner but when we came into our station in the evening we had to come out at one of the main exits. Instructions from someone who knows that Metro station well would be great to have.

Comments:The apartment was incredibly noisy from the inside both late at night and early in the morning. In the night, you can hear someone walking upstairs with shoes/high heels all night and we had to sleep with earplugs every time - and it still wasn't enough. Early in the morning (before 6am and onwards) the tv was blaring from the neighboring unit and you could hear it through the wall. This was almost every morning too. We were very careful not be loud due to the warning from VIP and the apartment notices, however, we could not sleep well due to the noise from everyone else. This was constant throughout the entire stay. We are thrilled with our interactions with VIP, and could not have asked for a better company to work with. Although this apartment wasn't good, it won't deter us from recommending VIP to everyone in a positive light. Wonderful customer service!

Comments:this was my first time dealing with vacation in paris and they were wonderful to deal with. met the onsight manager to get the keys and he was on time and explained how all the appliances worked especially the washer/dryer which we ended up using. he even walked me to the nearest grocery store and pointed out some great places along the way. the apartment is located in a great area, close to st paul metro...very quaint. the apartment was very clean, the queen size bed very comfortable and plenty of extra linens just in case. i would highly recommend staying in this lovely apartment and using vacation in paris to coordinate all the details.

(She had troubles too and said it was a new system. It ended up being beyond us.) But in all the ways that matter -- location, cleanliness, size -- it was great.

The location is superb, close to the metro, great shops, the Seine, etc. The apartment was very clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. Having always stayed in hotels while vacationing, this was our first time renting an apartment. I was nervous about renting through I company I had never done business with but I trusted the positive reviews I found on the internet and wasn't disappointed. Comments:The neighborhood was fantastic and manager who met us there was timely and warm. We felt new pillows and more comfortable couch cover would have spiffed the place up. More importantly, better towels are needed in the bathroom as the ones we used were worn and thin. The noise issue was interesting for us--most of the apartments had windows open to the courtyard. I found myself whispering and moving around as quietly as I could. But there was another resident who had loud phone conversations and entertained very late one night. We guess that experience just comes with courtyard apartment living. Overall we did enjoy ourselves--especially loved the location.

Comments:We really liked this apartment and have already recommended it to friends. I also liked working with VIP and have recommended VIP as well. The apartment and location were great. For our children sleeping in the living room, they said sometimes people on the stairs were a bit loud (walking and talking). We could not hear them from the bedroom. The bathroom is a bit tight but we were fine. There should be a couple more rolls of toilet paper provided so people don't have to shop just for TP. And it is a really inexpensive thing to provide. The 4 washing machine tablets were much appreciated and a very good thing to provide. This is a great apartment and we would gladly stay here again. The kitchen was set up well and had all we needed. We enjoyed eating dinner at the dining table and relaxing in the apartment. A wonderful place!

Mary was fantastic... she made some phone calls and even stopped by the building. We were lucky in that the noi I think the mattress is due for replacement! Other than that, we had a very good time and had everything we needed. The location is excellent, the apartment is convenient and well-stocked. Mary Thompson was prompt in meeting us and really informative.

Comments:I think the mattress should be replaced. It has 2 grooves where people have been sleeping. So, the edges are higher and there is a hump in the middle separating where the two people lay to sleep. It was the only thing we did not like. Neighborhood is great. The TV and internet worked well; and we had no problem with the 2 flights of stairs...... and we are 69. We have stayed in 56, 74, and now 229 and we like this one best. i.e. 229, then 74, then 56. The Sully Morland subway stop is close to the apt and easier to get to than the St. Paul stop. Much less crowded, and down hill from the apt. Line 7. www.breakfast-in-america.com/main/ Breakfast in America was a nice casual restaurant for an American Breakfast any time of day, and they have burgers. See menu. It is VERY close to the St. Paul subway stop at 4 rue Malher.

We made several calls, but only received voice mail messages in response. We were unable to reach the backup manager and finally called the manager's number because it was the only other contact we had. Fortunately she hadn't left for vacation yet and picked up the phone. Once we met her at the property, everything else was fine.

Comments:I believe the mattress for the main bedroom needs to be replaced. On the section wherere each person sleeps you sink in. The center of the bed is firm. It is not like it is not comfortable, but appears that each person is sleeping in a pocket. The only noise you woud have was during construction work, during working hours. Comments:First of all, the staff of VIP was very easy to work with. They were helpful in choosing the apartment and all the prelimenary arrangements. The answered all my questions and concerns promptly. This property is very well located. The shower is very small. I'm only five feet tall and I had trouble manuevering. There were a number of times that our water got cold as we showered. The washer/dryer was also an issue as it just didn't dry. I expected to have to hang things to finish them off, but after one wash/dry cycle and then two dry only cycles things were still wet....not damp, but wet. And yes, I was sure I did only the dry cycle. It was very nice that the wifi worked without any hassle and the few English language tv channels and the use of the telephone were a big plus. I also appreciated the fan in the dining area. I will without a doubt use VIP again. I would stay in this apartment again because I love the location, but only if I was a party of two. Three people would be stretching it. I just want to thank you all so much. I've rented in Paris a number of times but the people I use sold there place. When I rented in March it was an absolute nightmare so I was very nervous to try yet another company. VIP made the experience so wonderful. Thank you so, so much.

Comments:The apartment itself is pleasant enough, but unfortunately all the windows look out onto a "well" - with very little light and absolutely no view of street or sky. If we'd known this, we would certainly not have rented it, as we found it dark, depressing and claustophobic. Waking up there was not a nice experience and we couldn't wait to get out of the place every morning (after nightfall, however, it was quite cosy!). Also, we specifically requested linen for the sofa bed (as my husband and I have problems sleeping in the same bed). However, this was not provided. Nor could we find any instructions to enable us to open the sofa bed.

Comments:This is our fifth VIP apartment and one of our favorites. It was equipped with everything one could need for a short stay in Paris. For a change, the Wi-Fi, TV and cable all worked on the first try! There were 2 of us and we were only left one hand towel and one bath towel, so despite the admonishment in the apartment instruction book not to help ourselves to any extra linens, we did so. In the middle of the week, I found the missing towels still in the washing machine (stiff as boards!) Aside from that one little glitch, it was a great stay. The apartment is unbelievably quiet and stayed warm without heat despite going into the 40's at night. A tip you might want to give in the instructions - there are codes for both the exterior and interior door. When you put in the code for the interior door, you must push HARD on the left hand door and VERY QUICKLY. We never would have gotten in without the help of another very friendly apartment owner - we could hear the appropriate buzz after putting in the code, but could not get the door open. He showed us the trick. (The back of the towel warmer and the wall next to the red cabinet in the bathroom are both begging for serious cleaning) Couldn't be happier with both your apartments and your service. Will be contacting you shortly to book for a short visit in October! Thank you.

Comments:This well-equipped and well-located apartment was fantastic! I have told friends about it, and would not hesitate to use this apartment again; with or without the children along. We had everything we needed, and then some. The apartment had enough windows that we could get a breeze going, and we really appreciated the comments book from the owners and other guests! It was close to the metro and the open tour bus stop, walking distance from the Seine, and one day we even walked from there to the Louvre. The owners have left several guidebooks and tourist brochures there, which made it very easy to find information we hadn't brought from home, and shortened our learning curve. We really appreciated receiving the key and access information before we left home. When purchasing on the internet, it feels more secure to have a key in hand before leaving home. It was also exciting for our family to have a key in hand - it made our pending vacation feel very real even before we left home.

Comments:Cleaner left wet rag in kitchen cupboard which mildewed kit hen smelled awful took us four days to find source of smell. Nolight bulbs in apt for living room light or bedroom bedside table. So had to do without those lights. Bathroom fan broken so no ventilation of moisture sobathroom smells of damp. Could hear upstairs neighbor at night walking with heels on floor above bedroom. Its a nice apartment but would be nicer with a bit more attention. We needed to use sofabed and there were no instructions about where to find duvet and sheets for it and dire warnings about using sheets intended for next tenant. Also took a while to find plates and silverware since those are kept in dining room buffet while cups glasses and bowls are in kitchen.

Comments:We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment's location was superlative -we enjoyed being part of the neighborhood and the easy access to everything from shopping to sightseeing to people watching. The decoration and layout of the space was esthetically pleasing and thoughful, especially considering it is a small one bedroom apartment. And it was amazingly quiet in the building with no street noise whatsoever and very little from within the building. We cannot recommend Vacation in Paris highly enough. Every question I had was answered quickly and so pleasantly. The list of DOs and DON'Ts was daunting, but I'm sure there is a reason for them. Thank you so much.

Comments:Comments: Plants and candles very dusty. VERY small shower. Bed mattress is soft and "body-grooved" -- time to replace. (Warm and comfy though.) The apartment was very comfortable, convenient, quiet, warm and cozy -- our home for a week. However, our daughter, Karen, coming from Botswana (where she serves in the Peace Corps) was the first to arrive. We had the one key to the apartment. She was charged 20 Euros (!) to be let in. (Karen had been sent the door codes and contact phone numbers in advance, so she just needed to be let into the actual apartment.) The charge seemed high to us. Thanks.

Comments:The apartment was wonderful, and we would love to stay again in the not-too-distant future. The only issue - and it was relatively minor - was that one of the neighbors had the TV on fairly late in the evening (past midnight on one or two nights). Normally I'm a light sleeper, but with all the walking and the wine, I actually slept quite well. Thanks for helping us pick this apartment. Comments:First of call, we enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable in the apartment. We did our best to keep it neat and clean. One day the lights didn't work in the dining area, where the table and chairs are located. I removed the bulbs and then replace them. The next day the lights were working again. I don't know what was the cause for the temporary outage. During our entire stay, the hallway and stairs were being repaired - scrapted, spackled, primed, and painted. There was the noise of the radio as well as the voices of the workmen, although this was during the work only, and not to early in the morning or late at night. It was inconvenient, but we generally don't get upset by these things. However, other guests might. I wondered if you even know about this work, which will continue for some weeks or more. This also resulted in the name - MATTARAZZI - not being displayed at the door of the apartment. This caused us some confusion. Partway into our stay I found the sign with the name on the bookcase. I assume it was taken down because of the work being done. One final note. We had some trouble retrieving messages from the phone, and also some problems making calls. We read the instructions but you may want to add something more specific. Again, we enjoyed the trip and the accommodations and I hope to be able to return some . It might have helped to have some more specific information about certain things. For example, the instructions said to hang the towels on the racks, but there were too many wet towels so we folded them neatly. We also bought toilet paper and paper towels, sugar, and a few other items. But we didn't leave much coffee or other items. I assumed it was OK to leave the important things, but that we didn't have to leave a fully loaded kitchen. You might want to add something to the instructions so that we know what's enough, too little, or too much for "stocking up" the kitchen or bathroom

Comments:When you say "sleeps four adults", well yes. However, if it were two couples, one might feel uncomfortable to have to go through the bedroom to get to the bath. I guess it's a personal thing. I'd be OK there with another adult and a child but wouldn't with another adult couple. Also, kitchen could use a few bowls and there could be a few more plates.

The apartment was a combination of old world charm and modern conveniences. The washer/dryer was top quality and even dried clothing completely!! My family was delighted with the comforts and superb location to all of Paris!! Many thanks for a fabulous sejour in Paris!! I am planning our next vacation with you!!! Comments:The apartment was lovely. We very much enjoyed our stay in Paris and the location was ideal. Not your fault, but the neighbors were doing some interior renovations above us and our apartment was noisy in the mornings with the sounds of powertools breaking up tile. This lasted for 2 days. Thanks again. Great service and good experience renting the apartment.

Comments:We loved the apartment and its location, and thought it was good value for money. I was worried on the way, but was relieved when the security numbers and the key worked, and we were in the apartment. The only two (slight) negatives related to the bathroom. The shower was very small, and I am not a big person. And a change of towels would have been good - we used the washing machine at one stage to wash them, but it took such a long time to do the washing (and we didnt want to do it at night or when we were out) so we didnt use it much.

Comments:VIP is a great organization. So easy to deal with. In the competitive market of Paris apt rentals, they are almost too good to be true. They are trustworthy, have excellent prices, reasonable fees, and are very responsive to any and all inquiries and is I did not receive the apt key due to a shipping problem. The key was sent to our rental house in London and then incorrectly forwarded to another person by the Royal Post. This was an unfortunate fluke because we received all of our other mail and packages
