Comments:The quality of the linens was fine but the quantity could have been more generous. Two more towels would have been good. And because I am sure your clientele is mostly American, I am sure that others would also appreciate a flat sheet to use in addition to the duvet. It was unexpectedly warm during our visit -- way too warm for a comforter -- so it would have been nice to find a sheet stored with the extra pillows. The PDF of instructions sent in advance was very clear, but it would be nice if you could provide a map showing the closest taxi stand, grocery store, ATM, covered market (Rouge Enfant?) to make the first day a little easier. (We left some info in the guest book.) There are three small issues with the floor: a few of the boards just over the threshold into the bedroom are loose, giving way almost a half an inch when stepped on(these are the boards that are at a 45-degree angle to the boards in the main room, right in the center of the doorway on the bedroom side; if someone steps right on them, they might give way. In the main room. in the middle of the floor is a long split in one of the boards (parallel to and in front of the couch/living room bed) which might give someone a splinter if it isn't repaired or sealed; and in the kitchen, a few nailheads have popped up. We weren't barefoot much, but you might want to repair these few small flaws before someone gets a cut foot or other issue.

Comments:i might use another property on left bank another time, but location was excellent. Tell cleaning person not to use aromatic sheets in dryer...some of us are allergic or sensitive. Recommend blue balls instead. There are no stairs -- revise statement to indicate that. Going in and out first times tricky. unit is very quiet, faces courtyard with twin building across. At this time of year, very quiet. Neighborhood ideal for gay men.

Comments:There was some building project going on on the bottom floor in the courtyard that had loud saws going at night and over the weekend. In addition, across the way an apartment was being renovated (which didn't cause too much noise but which posed a privacy problem). Way too many tenants (other tourists, I imagine) spoke too loudly. One night the courtyard light was turned on in the middle of the night (3 am) and there was loud banging. No street noise to speak of, though. This is a terrific apartment in a terrific place! Shower might have been cleaned a bit better (mold by the door) but it wasn't objectionable. Great to have washer/dryer. It would have been good to have a working coffee pot (the cafetiere had mismatching top and bottom and filter papers were there but no holder). What would have been great would be to have a guide in apt notebook for renters that tells you where the nearest grocery store is (especially one open on Sundays), the hours of nearby boulangeries (which ones open early and on Sunday morning), restaurants open Sunday nights, and some of the local sites (the gardens in the National Archives were wonderful as was the Carnavalet Museum).

Comments:The only issue worth mentioning would be that the windows face a common central open area. So if you opened them, you could smell food, smoke, or other smells in the apartments who had their windows open. The bathroom often smelled like smoke due to the above apartment people smoking late at night.

Comments:I would recommend that the owner takes a look at the inside front door handle. It has come loose and one day actually fell off with the weight of pushing the door open (the door is heavy and scrapes on the tile and slams shut each time.) Everything works great. For my own sense of privacy, I wish that the curtains on the windows could be made opaque for night when people in apartments across the courtyard have their lights on and one can see into their places even with thin fabric - making me feel that one can see into this apartment also. All in all it's a lovely apartment in a fantastic location with new and fully working appliances (a great washer/dryer!) My husband and I have rented it for Nov 25-Dec 3 and I am looking forward to our return.

Maybe the supplies should match the amount of days stayed there? This may be an American thing but we would like a top sheet along with a bottom sheet. I read the guest book. It goes back two years and the same complaint comes up over and over again. There are no curtains on the bathroom window???? Comments:The english speaking taxi driver in the notes was very helpful. The service was punctual and the cab driver helpful. The apartment was a little hot and perhaps a fan for the bedroom would help. The fan was good but there was no where to put it in the bedroom. The aprtment was well equipped for our needs. Everything worked. There were clear instructions for everything. We had to buy soap as the issued amount was insufficient for a week , so that could be better organised. Soap powder for the washing machine could be provided too. We liked your correspondence and keeping us informed . The key exchange worked well . Your directions were helpful as well. A good service. We thought it was good service. I am happy to have my name as a reference. but not an email address.

Comments:Kitchen had 1 drinking glass and no turner. Definitely need some more drinking glasses and a couple rudimentary accessories (like a turner/spatula). Was no dish soap - I had to purchase. No iron in apartment even though it was advertised. Couch felt like it was going to fall apart at any point (the arm rest seems very flimsy). There is no way this apartment sleeps 4 adults unless people are sleeping on the ground. The pull-out couch is not big enough and generally there is not enough space to really fit 4 adults. Further, there are only 2 towels included (and a note that extra towels will incur a charge). If it is good for 4 people - why are there only 2 towels included? Generally a nice place that needs some new accessories in the kitchen, an iron and possibly a new couch. Also - toilet paper and dish soap should be included as those are household items and not personal items per se. Last, it should not advertise being large enough to sleep 4 adults. But overall I was very happy with the place at its price point.

Comments:The whole experience from booking to arriving at the apartment was fantastic. It was great to have the keys and all the information before we even left the US. The apartment was very clean. Beds very comfortable. Shower was great. Only issue was that there was no blind or curtain on the bathroom window and it was overlooked by another apartment. Kitchen was well stocked except for water glasses and a teapot. Did not use the TV. Wi-Fi worked well. Loved having free calls to the US. We had a late flight and wished there was someplace to leave our luggage. We could hear people going up and down the stairs and in and out the courtyard but nothing above normal except in the bathroom we could hear next doors disco music and washing machine. I am not complaining, this is apartment living, but there are warnings in the apartmant info about noise and complaints etc. The front door stuck on the bottom which made noise when we left and arrived each time. We were on vacation so coming home at 1am on a weeknight we couldn't do anything about the door noise. We had a great trip and I would recommend this apartment and your company to friends and Family. Thank you.

Comments:The living room sofa was not comfortable because the cushions on the back were sort of slouchy and did not fit the sofa. We could not lean back and relax on the sofa. The bed seemed really small. I knew that it was smaller than what we are used to though. The bed pillows are too large and too soft. I should have brought my own. I liked the free long distance and the Wi-fi. The TV worked fine. Although, we did not use it much. The kitchen equipment was fine. I liked having a washer and the heated towel rack was great. I think this apartment had the best shower we've had so far. It is always nice to have an elevator. The area is interesting. However, it is a bit of a hike to and from the nearest metro. There was some indoor, outdoor noise in the early morning hours on the weekend. On weekdays it was very quiet.

Comments:The location is terrific, the apartment less so. Positive: Apartment was clean and well-kept, bed was very comfortable. Plenty of hot water, modern bathroom and kitchen (kitchen could be better supplied with cooking utensils) Negative: Furniture is cheap and uncomfortable. Not enough light in living room, need some floor lamps. Could not figure out how to turn on lights over stove. Internet did not work when we arrived on Sunday, nor did the television. Called the manager (Bruno), who said he knew what was wrong and would come over to fix it. He didn't come until Tuesday. We tried to connect to the internet following the garbled directions in the binder and knocked the phone offline as a result. He fixed the internet, and said he had ordered a new remote for the TV. It didn't arrive until Wednesday. This all should have been done before we got there. In addition, the instructions for using the TV and internet are very confusing. The towels are horrible - small and rough. We were supplied one tiny bar of soap, had to buy more. The list of recommended restaurants was missing from the information binder. I also think you should have a list of other necessary resources, such as nearby grocery stores and pharmacies. We were only supplied with one garbage bag. There was a group of young people staying in the building who were quite noisy at night. On Friday night they had a large, loud party. I know you have no control over that, but it was ironic, because all of your information cautions clients to be very quiet as it is a residential building. We really liked the neighborhood, but I would not stay in this apartment again. I might try one of your other apartments. There were several that looked more appealing, but were not available.

I would definitely use it again and recommend to others. I also used Vacation in Paris to book transfer from the airport to the apartment, so the whole trip went on without a hitch. Having the keys before I left the US meant that I could arrive and department at a time that was convenient for me. I have rented Paris apartments before, but using a local Paris agent. Using Vacation in Paris is much more convenient and made planning very easy. Will recommend VIP to all my friends.

Comments:Very good appartment in very good area of Paris. There are only 5 minutes away from the metro station -> Hotel de Ville and 15 minutes away by walk from Cite. There are a lot of bakeries and other stores and restaurants in the vicinity, so there is no problems with breakfast and dinners. The appartment is remodeled in accordance with the modern standards. Our family stayed there for 7 days -> two sons (18 and 14 years old). Kids should share the sofa bed. Probably, the appartment is small for 4 people, but if you viist Paris you mostly stay outside and only come back to sleep. I think that in the old part of Paris where the appartment located - Marais - all the apprtments are relatively small in comparison with US, but it is not a problem. You get the real spirit of life in Paris of XIX century staying in this part of Paris. The service of the Vacation in Paris is awsome. I addressed them few times before trip and always recieved very good and complete answeres on my questions. Would strongly recommend Vacation in Paris for those who is planning to visit this beautiful city.

Just a couple of blocks from Hotel de Ville. The elevator worked great. Apartment was very clean. Great shower -- great water pressure. Beds and bedding comfortable. We didn't use the kitchen at all. An apartment on an upper floor can see into the bathroom, where one dries after exiting the shower. A textured film could be applied to the window glass in #224, which would alleviate this inconvenience for modest Americans. Not a huge issue, however.

Comments:No bottle of wine - disappointing. We had to ask for 2nd set of towels for a 13-day stay, but they were delivered promptly. Construction work in another apartment made it noisy - by understandable. Bed was fabulous, but sofa couch not so much. Especially for 2 adults. We never could get the WiFi to work. This was especially disappointing. TV access to English stations never worked well. The location, comfortable bed and great shower were the highlights. We very much valued the transactions with credit cards and getting the key in advance. Made the experience far better than others we have used. Comments:The VIP staff were extremely helpful, informative and pleasant. The apartment is in an outstanding location and with a wonderful neighborhood character. The prices generally in Europe, for those of us coming from the US, are steep, but I can't say that the price for this apartment was out of the norm for Paris or particularly Le Marais for a family of four, and by preparing many meals in the apartment we were able to cut costs. Having the washer/dryer in the apartment was very, very convenient. Everything in the apartment was clean and worked as it should, including Wifi and appliances. The beds were comfortable. The directions sent to us before arrival and those left for us by the manager upon arrival were comprehensive and helpful. I would strongly recommend both this apartment and VIP to a friend and hope some day to return as well with my family. Thank you very much for providing this great service and the peace of mind that went with it. Not only are you well organized, but everyone with whom I communicated in the VIP office was always so friendly and helpful. We all loved staying in the Trendy Marais apartment!

Comments:The apartment is great and we had an amazing time. The few things it could benefit from are better towels/more of them and some rugs on the floor to prevent noise (for the down stairs neighbors). They didn't complain, but it seemed like it would be annoying. The apartment shouldn't really be recommended for four people because of it's size and the amount of hot water for showers. You guys were great and I would def. rent from you again. Thank you!

Comments:It was my first time renting an apartment. Overall, the cost was about the same as a 3 star hotel. However I missed having a conceirge or front desk staff to ask questions. I also missed having maid service, such as changing the towels and linens. As such, I don't think I'd rent an apartment again - and would only do so if the cost was much less than that of a hotel. I also like the security of a hotel, and would have liked the apartment to have a safe deposit box for our passports, etc. The apartment came with only one roll of toilet paper, no paper towels, and no garbage bags. As per the instructions, we were told to 1) take out the trash before leaving (which we did, but had to buy garbage bags in order to do so), 2) wash all the dishes before leaving (which we did, but I think it's gross as I don't like the idea that the people before us had washed the dishes versus a cleaning service - who would have done a better job). Also, it was difficult to find a store locally that sold toilet paper. Most of the little shops do not sell toilet paper, and we had to walk several blocks and ask many stores. As such, I think the apartment should come with a few extra rolls of toilet paper. I also think that if we are supposed to wash the dishes that a roll of paper towels would be helpful.

Comments:The kitchen did not have enough cookware or utensils to do more more than scramble eggs. Very very minimal in this regard. The cleaning or paper products were not well stocked up. I guess giving up daily maid service means buying your own toilet paper? I believe the kitchen area should have basic cleaning supplies available without the renter having to buy. I am sure that other tenants have purchased in the past and the cleaning staff ends up taking home with them. I have rented from your sources for the past three years and have been overall pleased. I do notice a difference in the above areas from apartment to apartment.

Comments:I could not speak more highly of VIP! Our one week stay in Paris was made all the more enjoyable due to the VIP information we received and the fabulous situation of the apartment. We happily utilised the local grocer and bakery and enjoyed breakfast at home most mornings. I guess I would like to say that when things go wrong they can ruin everything. But when things go to plan and are well organised you may overlook them and just enjoy your holiday. That's exactly what made this trip so great. We did not have to worry about anything. VIP's information was so precise and the apartment was perfect so we could just enjoy Paris. Thank you!

Comments:I would stay again if there was a different sofa bed. The sofa bed in the apt is truly horrible. I had to sleep on the outer edge. I kinow it would be challenging to figure out a room arrangement that would work, but the current sofa bed is a deal killer. I really appreciated the excellent response from the staff when I called with questions. Also, for your ads, there are two good size closets in the unit, one in the living room and one in the bedroom.

Comments:Bedroom bed was excellent; LR futon not so good. While the apt CAN sleep 4, it would be a very snug fit due to its size. Fabulous location. Need better instructions for key fob (3 entry gates with not-so-obvious readers) - and the apt door lock is VERY tricky to open. Perhaps due to recent painting, no apt numbers on doors any more. Apt instructions have tons of cleaning requirements, but little to no supplies (dish soap, garbage bags, broom, mop, etc). Also - insufficient toilet paper! (1-1/2 SMALL rolls for 3 people for a week doesn't cut it!) Already called VIP to report apt phone number has been changed from that in documentation provided; it took us a while to figure out why no one could phone us. Overall, excellent location, nice building, fun neighborhood, wonderful "home base" for exploring Paris. I will not hesitate to use VIP again, and to recommend you to other travelers.

Comments:The neighborhood and location was great! The apartment was as represented -- a bit small for four (we were with our two teenagers) but we knew that in advance. I would use the apartment again if travelling by myself or with my wife. It was very warm when we were there -- and had to sleep with the windows open. The apartment faces a courtyard, and the sound really travelled...

Comments:Apartment needs: instructions for the microwave, curtain on the bathroom window, heavier curtain or shade on other windows, more towels (my husband and I had one medium towel each for an 8-day stay). Nice additions include: a lamp, a comfortable side chair, area rugs for the main room and the bedroom. The lack of window coverings, or sheerness of the curtains made it feel like we were living in a fish bowl. Serious lack of privacy, especially at night when sheer curtains were completely see-through. Peep show for the neighbors?

Comments:We were lucky that we had the key to the apartment with us as the phone number of the manager was wrong ( two last digits of the number were missing). The phone number of the apartment written in the booklet was also wrong. There was construction going on in the apartment below during our stay there.

Comments:Noise was evidently the result of extensive renovations that were being done on the premises. This was not a problem at night. On one occasion there was a lot of noise coming from another apartment across the courtyard - sounded like a party of some sort. The noise extended past 10pm, but occurred on only one night. It was a pleasure dealing with you.
