Comments:Rated neighborhood as acceptable because of it's very close proximity to a very large train station--plus on one hand but also far more traffic (people and vehicles) and less neighborhoody (not really a word but you get it). The kitchen was great for a studio especially but there was only one dish towel (no dishwasher) so an extra would have been nice. We had never stayed in this area so it was a new experience and enlarged our perspective and knowledge of Paris---a city we keep returning to. FYI - Until May 31st or so the Metro line #4 stop at Montparnasse is closed. One has to rely on line 6, 12 or 13 to access the Montparnasse Metro stop.

Comments:The view was great. Space was adequate. Great location close to metro, bus, and train. We initially got lost trying to find the apartment at 3:00 in the morning. Kitchen supplies were adequate. A few extra pillows would have been nice. Need to advise that mosquitoes will come in through sliding glass door...I have 4 bites as souvenirs. I hope this apartment continues to be available in the future. We will return in 2018. This was our 2nd trip and found this one when the other apartment was no longer available. The French have been nothing but helpful to us again this trip.

Comments:The view is to die for!! The security of the building is great. The carpet is old but ok. We did see an air conditioner (free standing) no directions and couldn't find any online. The directions book is informative but doesn't include any directions on recycling separating the items before taking them downstairs. When we arrived the sliding door wouldn't lock so we called the apt manager and left a message he got back to us the following day to fix the door. We had already fixed it ourselves. No bottle of wine. The apt manager said they don't do that any longer. The bathroom was not totally clean. The apt was always hot!! We were told not to turn off the heaters so while we were there we left the sliding door open. The water to the building was turned off for an entire night. Lucky for us we had a few bottles of water to drink and brush our teeth. We do plan to go back next year we've already booked it. The Apt is in a great location and is acceptable. We have rented from VIP in the past and love the employees!! They have always been helpful Thank you!! This apt needs a new updated guest book with

Comments:This was my third stay at this FABULOUS property! The location is super convenient, the residents in the building are friendly, and the view is priceless. The only negative I experienced during my stay was the neighbor downstairs complained about me using my electric shaver at 7am. The buzzing from the shaver woke her/him up!

Only confusing part was figuring out how to use the heater. I ended up finding the model on the internet. Everything else was amazing!

Comments:This is our third time working with VIP and, as always, that went very smoothly. The instructions for getting to apartment and getting in were spot on and we were "home" just a few minutes after the bus dropped us off at the Gare Montparnasse. We really liked: 1. The view - the photos cannot convey how great is really is (we especially came to appreciate the Invalides dome) 2. The quiet - despite being across the street from the Montparnasse train station, the apartment faces away and is quiet 3. The kitchen and bath - more house scale than apartment scale 4. The neighborhood - it felt a bit more Parisian than neighborhoods in the more central area. Plenty of supermarkets, bakeries, restos 5. Access to transportation - several metro lines and SNCF are just a few minutes away 6. The neighbors/custodian - they knew we were the tourists, of course, but were cool with it Tips for future renters of this property: 1. We have used RER to get into Paris from CDG in the past. For this property, we highly recommend Les Cars Air France, a bus that takes you from your CDG terminal to the Gare Montparnasse. Also easy to use this service to get back to CDG. Once dropped off, you have perhaps a 6-7 minute walk to the apartment. If you use RER, you will have to transfer to the Metro. Cost of Les Cars was a bit more than RER (16 Euro vs. about 10). They now take credit cards on the bus.. 2. Monoprix worked best for us for grocery shopping. It is about a 5-6 minute walk. There is a Casino two minutes away with more limited offerings. 3. Chez Marcel on rue Stanislas is a wonderful restaurant. Reservations a must. Open M-F.

Comments:Although the apartment was small, it was very quaint, cozy and my wife and I enjoyed it immensely. It was close to the metro, a great bistro downstairs, supermarket, taxicabs and other restaurants. Also Gallery Lafayette is approximately 1 to 2 blocks away. I found the central location to be key to being able to go to multiple parts of Paris on any given day. Obviously, the view was stunning. We felt extremely fortunate to have landed at this place. We recommend it highly. Traditional French food at L'Opportune was overrated. Except for the macaroni and cheese. An Indian restaurant down the street, can't recall the name, was outstanding! Very small dining room excellent food great service. There was a Lebanese restaurant in that same block directly across from Gallery Lafayette, also very enjoyable. Our favorite however was the bistro right next to the apartment, Which had the best beef bourgignon I've ever had!

Comments:Initially, we were somewhat apprehensive about the location because we had not become familiar with the Montparnasse area during our previous visits to Paris. But we found this location extremely convenient. Within about 200 meters from the apartment, there is Gare Montparnasse for easy transport to Versailles, a huge bus station for taking one just about anywhere in Paris - for example, Bus 96 for going to Sainte Chapelle/Notre Dame and Marais areas, and Bus 95 for going to Montpartre/Sacre Couer areas ( we chose this mode of transportation because one gets to see Paris instead of traveling underground with the Metro; a book of ten tickets can be bought at any Tabac shop for around 13 euros), a taxi stand next to the bus station, a huge super market - Monoprix - where you can find just about anything, including a coffee shop that serves a caf

Comments:This was an extraordinary experience. I have not rented a short-term apartment in another city before so was a bit unsure of what to expect. From the moment I contacted Vacation in Paris, things went smoothly. I was given information about available apartments (the website was wonderful in helping to identify where the apartment was in the city as well as amenities and photos!). Once I chose, the payment process was smooth. My keys and related information arrived a couple of weeks ahead of our trip. We had everything we needed and the information in the packet was really helpful as was the map. The apartment was just lovely and perfect for the two of us. The view of the Eiffel Tower was spectacular. We loved reading the advice left by others in the house book--the information was very helpful to us. We also appreciated the many tour books left in the apartment. Although we had brought our own, these others were very useful in providing additional information. The only tricky part was actually getting to the apartment the first time there. The information packet was terrific in providing pictures of the entrance to the apartment building, the elevator, the apartment door, etc. What would have been helpful would have been a little more guidance about how to get there from Gare Montparnasse (where I imagine many people arrive) -- there are many exits from the station, of course, and we ended up at the drop off point for the Air France bus and just could not get ourselves straight on the map. We walked in circles a bit and finally someone on the street helped us. But a more specific map for that part of the trip would be really helpful to others, I think. I think the next time we go to Paris, we will look to be another part of the city in order to explore that neighborhood so probably will not book this apartment again but would highly recommend it. We will be contacting Vacation in Paris, though, when we do decide to travel again to that beautiful city.

Comments:The ONLY issue we had while we were there, was towards the end of our stay (Dec 30ish-Jan 3ish), the room next to us was way louder then we would have liked, especially since we had to get up at 5am to catch our flight home. Giggling and talking loudly until 11pm. It wasn't enough for us to stop them, but it was annoying. That being said, it was hard for us to gauge how loud we were. The apartment was perfect. The pictures did not do the view justice. We cannot wait to come back to Paris and to the apartment.

Comments:After using this type of rental during a vacation I would never stay in a hotel again. It was fantastic. Location was superb! We were within short walking distance to a Monoprix (food, toiletries, etc...), the metro station(s), and an amazing pizza/bar so we could watch the game (futbol of course). This was the best vacation we ever had and that was due in part to the rental. Thank you so much!

Comments:We were not able to use the telephone for calls to the US - nothing would go through - may have been operater error - but it was not important enough to bother Mr Strady. It may be helpful to advise future occupants to close shutters if they are out during the day which really helps keep the apartment cooler on hot days. Also, you could advise that the metro station is INSIDE the gare. It took us a while to figure that out. We loved the apartment, the balcony, the view, the wine and the whole experience. We've been to Paris before and much preferred the apartment to staying in a hotel. Forgot our fantastic chocolate bars in the fridge - hope someone enjoyed them. Jean

Comments:The murphy bed was very, very firm for our personal preference and so we elected to sleep on the sofa bed which was just okay. So our nights were not always comfortable but all of the other fantastic features surely made up for this. I did a great deal of cooking in the apartment as the Raspail market was close by. The view was fantastic even when whipping up that fresh, clean food. VIP prepared us well for the arrival, how to get in, how to turn the key, etc. Thank you.

Comments:The only thing that could possibly be improved, would be the Murphy bed. It creaked loudly whenever I got into or out of it. It made me concerned that it would disturb the neighbors. Also, it might be better to swap the location of the sofa and the bed, possibly replacing the bed with a conventional one, to better utilize the space. Nothing in the Vacation in Paris information (even the pictures) prepared us for the gorgeous view from the apartment. The Eiffel Tower was RIGHT THERE in front of us for the whole week. The view was incredible. The apartment was super convenient to everything and all the supplemental information was very helpful and all the guides and maps were a great supplement to our preparations. We will definitely keep Vacation in Paris on our short list for future vacations...everything was beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay.

Comments:Outstanding value and super location; the view is second to none. Only small issue is the towels; they smelled like vinegar and there really could be a couple more and a few more washclothes. That is the only suggestion/recommendation. Other than that, everything was in order and this apartment really is a gem of a place. I have already recommended it to someone and urged them to visit your website and reserve this apartment. I will stay here in the future if I make it back, and recommend others consider it. You may want to put some info in the apartment regarding the train and metro; and also the fact that the pharmacie inside the train station is open 7 days a week. thanks!

The fold-out couch was just not as comfortable as the murphy bed mattress was. It is a very nice, safe neighborhood and very easy location to get on the Metro, or train, or bus!
