Best of The Two Big Museums |
|
How would you like to be right in the middle of probably the two
best museums in the World? Located on the Left Bank and only a short
stroll to the Musee D’Orsay, and a quick cross over the river to
access the Grand Musee du Louvre- all within an easy stroll for you
each day!

This is a prime location and so very central as you can see by
the map here on this page. You are surrounded by so many great
sights and things to do: besides the 2 museums, you are only minutes
walking to the famed Boulevard St. Germain, where you can visit the
famous Cafes, even closer by is the rue Jacob for all you antique
hunters – plenty of stores
and furniture to choose from! For
shopping, just stroll over to the Rue du Bac area, landscaped with
so many special boutiques… For a beautiful garden and parks tour,
the whole expanse of the Tuilleries Gardens is open to you for
strolling, or just people watching by the fountains.
This is a very handsome apartment with quality furniture, which
we are sure you will find most comfortable. It is of generous size
at 36 m2 (approx. 385 sq. ft.) and comfortably sleeps up to 4
adults. As all Parisian spaces are rather small, the owner has used
a couple of great ideas to make the place feel larger and more
suitable to daytime and nighttime accommodations:
1. The property owner has invested in large, high quality Queen
sized sofa-beds, which are more comfortable than some of the
ordinary beds in other apartments. These beds have extra thick
mattresses and are slightly larger than American queen sized beds
measuring 160 cm wide and 200 cm long (62 inches wide by 78 inches
long). Our Paris manager has confirmed that these are top quality
beds, and make for a very comfortable night's
sleep for two adults
in each one. A simple pull of one handle converts the daytime sofa
to a bed at night and thus allowing for more room, and it isn't even
necessary to remove the cushions! One of these is in the bedroom and
the other is in the living room. If you prefer, the sofa sleepers
may be left in the bed configuration during the daytime. The bedroom
sofa will be left permanently open to be used as a bed. 2. The
other space saver is a large sliding partition that separates these
two rooms. It allows privacy and separation, just like a door, but
opens to a much wider open space during the daytime. This sliding
separation is made of solid wood, plus it also has a heavy curtain
which pulls over it, for decoration.
Both the bedroom and living rooms have windows facing out to a quiet
courtyard with lots of “open blue-sky view” and lots of ‘greenery’
as well. The apartment gets little or no street noise as it is
located off the street, in a building separated from the street by a
quiet small green courtyard and another building.
The kitchen is completely separate and has most everything you
will need, a 4 burner stovetop, an oven plus a microwave, a
refrigerator freezer, plus lots of cutlery and plates, and cups etc
for at least 4 people. The kitchen has a window and is quite
comfortable to cook in or just re-heat those great-prepared meals
you can purchase nearby. There is a nice round wooden table and
chairs, very “Bistro style” just by the window, where 4 people can
sit to dine. Of course, if you prefer to dine out, there are many
cafes and wonderful restaurants to choose from in your immediate
area. Maybe the most famous are the Café Flore and Café Deux Magots,
plus the Brasserie Lipp restaurants nearby. When visiting the Louvre
don’t forget to go to the large multi-ethnic food court they have
there as well!
The bathroom has a large bathtub, great for soaking those tired
feet after hitting the Paris pavements all day! Plus there is a
shower attached to the wall above the tub. It even has a washer and combo-dryer unit you
can use if you have been long travelling or will be staying more
than a couple of days here.
This apartment is located on the 4th floor (4 floors
up) accessed by a very wide and non-steep carpeted staircase.
Perfect for 2 or up to 4 adults, we are sure you will enjoy the
loving and detailed work the property owner has invested to assure
you a comfortable stay. Stroll to the world’s greatest museums and
then come back to enjoy your wonderful home on the Left Bank – in
the heart of St. Germain!
