Comments:Any needed Repairs or Cleaning a. The living room blue area rug is tired and somewhat stained. Perhaps just a good professional cleaning would suffice. b. The exposed pipes in both baths are dirty with accumulated dust etc. c. Some of the building hallway lights did not work. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and handy appliances. Our 3 week visit in Paris was enhanced by the wonderful 2nd Floor Rue 12 Marie Stuart apartment. The attractively decorated apartment location was flanked by the Rue Montorgueill and the Passage Cerf with two Metro stations within a 5 min walk. The walk was only interrupted by our daily stop at the Bolangerie, ?Josef? for the best baguettes and apple croissant we?d ever eaten. Or, on our return walk from the Louvre, as we stopped in Cafe Petit Carreaux, Cafe Centre or Montorgueill for a late lunch. We only averaged 9,000 steps a day but felt safe with every step. Suggestions for future VacationInParis visitors: 1.Louvre- we two became 1 yr Museum members for @$100. For us, making four 2 hr visits was economical and provided easy always automatic walk in. We planned our trips with focus each time on specific schools of Art or artists. Also, months before trip we lightly studied library books about the paintings of the Louvre. This masterpiece of a Museum cannot be absorbed with one ?spin? through. 2.San Chapelle Concert Series- Also, for @$100 in advance we secured tickets online for an amazing one hour Vivaldi concert in the High Holy Chapel of S-C. It was sold out and the audience was totally in awe engaging with the six violinists. 3.Monet?s Home - Giverny. (Easy 1hr + trip - metro to - Gare St Lazare sncf train.). Go see the Water Lily pond at Giverny first then lunch, gardens and shopping after. Then another day visit L?Orangerie in Paris to see Monet?s water Lily paintings in the rotunda room. Incredible.. 4. Enjoyed the PASSAGES of Paris starting with Grand Cerf at end of Marie Stuart. Don?t miss Vivienne for shopping and dining. 5.The classic L?Escargots Restaurant 3 blocks away on Montorgueill. There are so many restaurants and cafes etc., in Paris but the close easy proximity of this charming, great service restaurant is not to be missed. 6. The touristy hop on off Batubus boat on the Seine. Worth the time to have river view of so many incredible pieces of architecture. 7. We loved shopping at the gorgeous Samaritaine near Bourse on the Seine. Then next door Hotel Cheval Blanc has roof cafe for great martini or lunch with fabulous view. My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed our stay Sept 1 -Sept 20, 2023 and appreciated the delightful spot at 12 Rue Marie Stuart. Thank you very much. Sarah Stransky and Robin Vitullo.

Comments:Our only issue with the information we received is that the phone number to call when we arrived in Paris before coming to the apartment did not say that from a non-French cell phone you would have to start with the country code for France and leave off the first zero of the phone number. Luckily, a local was able to call for us from their phone. We loved the neighborhood of this apartment, and its location just off the Rue Montergeuil. Easy access to so many shops and restaurants, the metro and walking distance to the Louvre. It was everything we could have wished for.

Comments:This is a very nice place to stay in a lively, friendly neighborhood, with people from all parts of the world, of different ages and backgrounds, full of great shops and cafes. In addition, there is a medical clinic right up the street, on Rue Reamur, that we used once -- the doc who helped us treat a sinus infection was good. Our answer on "value for the money" may have more to do with our budget than the real world of Paris apartment rentals -- everything available may seen a bit expensive to us. The features we appreciated include a great shower, plenty of hot water, and a well-stocked kitchen. Everything worked well -- heat, towel rack, wireless*. We enjoyed the wine -- it is a great way to say welcome. Thanks to all of you. Donna Reynolds has always been cordial, patient, and helpful, but so have all the other folks in the office whom we have talked to and emailed. You run a tight ship. *One final thing. After typing in the wireless information, our phones and computers immediately issued a "security recommendation," saying the site was vulnerable. We ignored that, but also thought about it. If there are steps to take so the recommendation doesn't come up, I think that would be welcome.

Comments:The apartment is comfortable and in a nice area. There is a tiny elevator in the building, we usually walked, as the elevator was so small and hot. You definitely hear street noise when the windows are open - mostly this was fine. There were a few times when some traveling buskers were setting up techno dance music and playing that really loud on Rue Montorgeuil, that was annoying, but usually only lasted an hour or so, though it was everyday - usually in the evening. We live in a city, and are used to noise, the normal street noise wasn't a problem, but the techno music was annoying. The big windows in the apartment are nice, the furnishings are nice, the location was nice, the couch bed was comfortable enough to sleep on. All in all, we had a good stay and would return and recommend to others. Everyone doesn't drink wine, so although the thought is nice, this is the second time, we have left the bottle of wine. Maybe a bottle of mineral water? A bar of chocolate? Just a thought, I know we aren't the only ones.

Comments:This is a very good apartment. But, you have to like the fact that it is in the very touristy neighborhood of the rue Montorgoeui. The building is largely inhabited by other tourists, so there may be a lot of noise from an apartment, depending on who is in it. Restaurants have table on the sidewalks that are directly across from, and directly underneath, the apartment. If you like that type of environment, the apartment is fine. If not, that becomes a major choice to make, if you like quiet and normal as a neighborhood.

Street noise is unavoidable in Paris and so always a concern when booking but the bedroom in the apartment was totally quiet which is the important thing. Comments:Regarding "too much noise from outside" - this was in a neighbourhood where people are outdoors in the evenings, it was hot and our windows were open. There was a lot of noise, but that's to be expected. So yes there was a lot of noise, and it was loud during the soccer game, but "too much" is an unfair descriptor. We appreciated the thorough instructions for operating the washing machine and coffee maker - very easy to read and follow. We also liked the apartment guide book and the cross-cultural tips (very helpful). The key FOB was a nice feature. This was an excellent set up and comfortable for N. American travellers as far as explanations and helpfulness go.

Comments:The location is superb, and we really enjoyed all the shops just outside our door. While there was a lot of noise from the busy street outside the building (particularly the street sweepers early in the morning, the bedroom was relatively quiet, so that is why we rated the above questions about noise as "no." After having spent a week on a canal boat before our stay in Paris, the use of a washer/dryer was especially welcome. This apartment was perfect for us, and we hope to be able to use it again for another trip to Paris.

Comments:This is an absolutely wonderful place, and I hope very much to stay there again. Its location simply cannot be beat--close not only to the metro, but to the RER to/ from the airport as well (a 5-7 minute walk at most) The neighborhood is lively and fun, and one of the best bakeries in Paris is right at the end of the street. Fantastic!!! Whoever owns this place is a lucky soul indeed. There are two things that travelers will want to be aware of when booking. First, there is a LOT of noise from outside the buildings; the street itself is normally quiet, but there are several restaurants just below the apartment window that go late into the night. We enjoyed the exuberance of the area in which this apartment is located, but the person who slept in the living room did have to use ear plugs. Second, there is no air conditioner. This is no surprise--there aren't that many in Paris outside the big hotels, and in most cases, you wouldn't ever need it anyway. However, we happened to be there during a heat wave (100+ degrees), and it was uncomfortable. Both rooms have fans, so we were able to sleep; however, it was hot, so if you need the sort of respite that ac provides, this may not be the place for you. is located, but if you're an early-to-bed person, you will want ear plugs if you plan to sleep in the living room (the back bedroom had no problem with noise. By far the best place I've ever stayed in Paris!!

Comments:Apartment was excellent again as usual. We have used VIP several times now and have recommended you to friends and all have been very happy. If I was being hyper critical, the bottle of complimentary wine was probably worth $5 tops and is probably not worth the trouble if that is all that is going to be spent. First time we used VIP 10 years ago, the complimentary bottle was quite a good drink. This time we left the bottle where we found it on the bench. Keep up the good work! The location of this apartment is absolutely fantastic. 5 minutes walk to 2 metro stations, heaps of restaurants within a stones throw. 15 min walk to Louvre and Notre Dame. Its a real gem.

Comments:Re: Overall condition of the property. There were some light bulbs that were not working, which is the only reason for my not rating it as Excellent. The lighting in the entry hallway of the apartment had only one of the bulbs working which meant that the area was dully lit. In the kitchen there was one bulb out, but not it was not as much of a problem because of other lights in the room. We were 100% pleased with the location and 99.5% with the apartment (not because of the lights as described above, but because we could have done without the coffee machine as it took up so much of the limited kitchen bench - we would have been happy with a French coffee press (aka Cafettiere or coffee plunger). But we realize that the coffee machine is the choice of the owner, so "c'est la vie"! These little matters would not put us off booking again if we ever have the opportunity to stay in Paris again. We were very sad to leave and are grateful to the owners for making the apartment available for our stay when it was initially blocked out for them.

Comments:We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It was very cute and cozy and located in lovely neighborhood. There was quite a bit of street noise outside of the living area where the sofa bed was that went on until very late in the night (1 a.m.) but only Wednesday to Friday evening. Surprisingly, no noise at all Saturday-Monday nights. Great options for eating and buying local fruits, pastries, etc. We felt like a true local staying there. The only thing that would make this apartment better would be A/C so we could close the window at night. The noise was a minor disturbance and did not affect our enjoyment of the apartment. (I did not give the bathroom an "excellent" rating only because the shower drained slowly and I indicated this on our departure paper--otherwise it was fine and we appreciated having the shower separate from the toilet.)

Comments:See comments below. The strap on the decorative trunk was broken when we first entered the unit. I know this since it brushed my leg when I sat down on the couch. I did not raise this issue in my telephone conversation with the manager as it seemed insignificant to me. The damage may have been noticed this time since we moved the trunk away from the couch and closer to the chairs so we could use the fold-out bed. We never moved the trunk back. Other than that, a great place. We would stay again at this unit without hesitation and we have already recommended it to friends. I note that the upstairs tenant is up at all hours and is very loud - banging on the floor, loud music, yelling, etc., but by turning on the fan we could mostly block out the noise, and just chalked it up as part of the experience.

Comments:This was the third time that I have used your company and I thank you for making the rental process so easy. I know that once I have a property confirmed with you that I don't have to worry about that part of my trip. This was the very best apartment I have stayed in while vacationing in Paris. The location was perfect, we love this area and you are in Paris with the locals as soon as you walk out the door. There are so many wonderful restaurants and boutiques in the area that you would never have to leave the area. The kitchen is small and very well stocked with cooking equipment. It even has a full sized refrigerator and a freezer that is cold enough to make ice and a dishwasher. The furniture is very comfortable and the apartment is spacious enough for a family. The bedroom was extremely quiet and we never even turned on the heat at night since the heavy comforter keep us cozy. The living room can be a little noisier since it faces the street and there are several small restaurants on the street, ear plugs and white noise from the fans which are provided would probably help. The day time temps while we were there in January averaged between 40-45 degrees F, and we only used the heat in the living room a few times in the evening. I was very impressed with the storage space in the apartment, there is even a second closet and drawers in the living room for the 3/4 guests. The owners of this property have given a lot of thought into the design of this property and it definitely shows! The apartment could use a good cleaning. The doors and handles were pretty dirty, and I did wipe them all down since we were staying for two weeks. The outside bottom of the shower frame was filthy, don't think the maid ever bothers to wipe it off...I tried but it needed to be scrubbed off. I also found potato chips under one of the area rugs....just tells me that the cleaning crew isn't doing their job. But, the kitchen was spotless and everything was free of dust. Overall, I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends. It is a great property!

We like the free long distance and wi fi. The bed is super comfy. We have stayed here twice now. A cozy home away from home. This is a very lively area so guests should be aware that there is some street noise. Especially on weekends. The bedroom is in the back so noise is not an issue there. Bathroom vents need cleaning. Funky smell from the washing machine. Apartment could benefit from a fresh coat of paint.

Comments:Very nice location, a bit noisy from time to time at night as the apartment faces a pedestrian street with multiple restaurants and is a few doors down from a live theatre venue (meaning patrons hit the restaurants/bars after a night out at the theatre). The main bedroom is at the back, which is much much quieter but anyone using the sofa bed in the living room may find it a bit noisy. Which is to be expected in this area/location. The kitchen was well equipped, perhaps though the ad could show that there is no full oven, just a portable microwave/oven combo. Again, not a huge issue. The washing machine definitely needs replacing or a warning -- the inside tumbler has some exposed rough edges (bolts I think?) due to its construction, and three synthetic shirts that we put in the wash caught on these edges and snagged terribly, to the point of having to discard all three shirts. While having the washer was a great option, had we known about the rough exposed bolts on the interior tumbler (again, a function of the construction of this particular washer) we would have been happier using the laundromat just down the road from the apartment. 7 Euros in washing/drying beats out having to purchase three new shirts. We left a note about this in the apartment. Perhaps a warning about this washer -- i.e. only use sturdy cotton fabrics in this machine -- would be helpful for the next tenants. The apartment was very well equipped and very comfortable. We will return! Yes, please let future clients know that this apartment is alarmingly close to one of the Christian Louboutin shoes stores. This proved to be very detrimental to our holiday budget and certainly made the Louboutin shop and my personal wardrobe quite happy. Husbands take note and beware :) :) :)

Comments:BEST Location! This is our second time staying in this apartment. Nice layout, the living room faces the street, which allows you to enjoy the city life of Paris. The bedroom is on the back quite courtyard. Everything is well kept and clean. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need, except a cheese grader and fitted out with high end appliances. I could tell a lot of attention went into making guest feel very comfortable. The location is so central we walked almost everywhere and if we needed the metro you are a 5 minute walk from the large station at Les Halles. There is one thing I could improve on is more pillows for the bed. On the way home I recommended this apartment and ?Vacation in Paris? to three people.

Comments:There was an issues with the shower drain backing up from being over-clogged and not being properly clean out on a regular basis - or perhaps, poor design. It was a somewhat distasteful in the latter few days of our stay. We prefer to hand wash and dry dishes as we used them. Therefore we didn't use the dishwasher. A plastic or metal dish and undertray drainer would have been useful for that purpose. If there was one we didn't find it. I didn't understand what the purpose was for the glass piece over the stainless steel counter area and found it in my way. I also felt worry about caring for the wood kitchen counter which by its very nature is bound for water stains. I tried with considerable effort to take good care of it, but I can see, others perhaps, weren't as diligent. Because the washer/dryer was to remain open - there was little flat surface to place items in the shower room. We loved the location of this suite. We walked everywhere and when that was impossible, we learned to take the most efficient Metro lines. We actually very much enjoyed the street level noise coming in through the window... we felt alive and energised by that and very much in Paris.

Comments:The neighborhood is excellent, exciting, and brimming with activity. The restaurant on the first floor of the building is very good and quite welcoming even though we don't speak French. Same for the small pub across the street where we got excellent cocktails for 5E while watching break dancers on Montorgueil. Of course we are addicted to the chocolatier, the fresh fish and vegetable stalls, and the Stohers crossaints on Montogueil. This apartment is a couple blocks from Les Halles, the big transportation hub. Also one block to Starbucks and a good grocery store. The kitchen in the apartment, with its big breakfast bar will make you enjoy cooking. I am returning in 2014. I don't recall, but it would be helpful if two fans were always available in the apartment because in 2014 we will have two separate sleeping areas.

It was a very enjoyable stay and we will consider returning to the same apartment or at least to the same locality the next time we visit Paris. Everything about the apartment works and the location is in relatively reasonable walking distance of most places we wanted to get to. At least the Metro station is very accessible.

Comments:On the night we arrived, a Friday, there was a party in one of the apartments across the courtyard that was very loud and went till 3am. On Sunday night one of restaurants under the front window had a private party that went until 4am. It is lucky that I enjoy being in an urban environment and enjoy young people having a good time others may not. This apartment has the best location in Paris. It is close to the Metro stations that will take you to any destination in the city. Dealing with Vacation in Paris is wonderful. This is the most convenient way to rent a vacation apartment in Pairs. We have rented places in London and currently looking for one in Rome and can not find anyone who comes close to the efficient and easy way VIP handles their clients.

Comments:We were only given one bath towel and one hand towel per person. As a female with long hair, I usaully need 2 bath towels. Also, the towels were on the thin side. The bed linens were very nice. The first night there was some noise from the restaurant below that you could hear in the living room but not in the bedroom. It was quiet all the other nights. I can't imagine a more perfect place to stay. The location was fantastic - close to several metro lines and a half block off a wonderful pedestrian market street. The quality of everything in the apartment was above what one normally gets in rental units. We also appreciated being in an historic building with exposed timber beams.

Comments:Upon arrival we were looking for a glass door with a keypad. The door was red with some glass and there was no key pad. Luckily some other tenants let us in. Once inside the apt. was not numbered and another tenant helped us figure out which apt it was by the key. Alot of info was sent but not quite correct or enough. The towels were worn and we would have appreciated enough TP, kleenex and paper towels to get through the week. There was a sour smell coming from the washing machine. I should have called the manager at the beginning of the week, instead we just endured it and shut the door at night so we didn't have to sleep with the smell. The bed was large and comfortable however the pillows could have been better. The neighborhood is fabulous and very close the to metro. We felt very safe.

Comments:I love the neighborhood, love the kitchen, although I was not able to operate the microwave. The bathroom in the bedroom had a very musty, moldy or sewer smell, so I closed the door at night. This smell in the bathroom could be a health issue for people like me with allergies, and it was disturbing to me. Still, I am coming back in 2013 with companions, and I wish you could remove the graffitti over the front door, since that gives a bad first impression. The decor and artwork were outstanding, although the red leather chair collapsed under me. However, you were understanding enough not to charge me for this problem. Also, the lighting was excellent, with well placed ceiling and floor fixtures. It would be so helpful if you could provide more towels, since it takes up so much luggage room to pack extra towels. The kitchen utensils, pots, pans, glasses, stemware etc were all very high quality, and the cappucino machine was a real treat for me, since I love my lattes! This was my first trip to Europe and your complementary bottle of wine was my first European wine! It was delicious and I wish I could have purchased more. Also I loved the film collection, loved the Louis Malle trilogy with "The Elevator to the Gallows" and loved "Paris", even though I don't speak French. I also loved the artwork being by one artist, and the framed prints and maps in the hallway. I have already confirmed my reservations for July, 2013 for myself and companions to stay in #79 and Scaramouche. Thanks for everything,Best Regards, Dorothy Please remove the grafitti over the front door!! Please work on the moldy smell in the bathroom!! Otherwise, don't change anything, the apartment is fantastic.

Comments:We absolutely loved the apartment and the area. Our only complaint, really, was the noise on 4 nights - the weekend, the night before the May 1st holiday, and the Thursday. We expected some noise on the weekend in the living room sleeper bed area, since there's a club nearby, but the worst noise came from the courtyard across the bedroom. The first 3 nights it was a group of Spaniards, I think, and the Thursday it was a large group of young French girls who sang LOUDLY in unison into the wee hours. Both groups could have very well been renters. Oh, one other minor thing - I could have really used an extra bath towel! Women with long hair like a towel for the hair and a second one for the body! Otherwise, you end up with a soggy bathroom floor. Noise aside, we would return to this apartment. It was very spacious by Paris standards, good value for money, and my interactions with VIP were easy and painless. I loved having the key upon arrival.

Comments:This was my favorite apartment yet as I have rented from you several times. The only items below 10 were due to cleanliness of the overall apartment, while not horrible there was a lot of dust on furniture and it had been rented prior to us so it wasn't like it had sat unused for a while. Personally I feel the cleaning staff could do a better job. Note to cleaning staff: please wash the slippers that clients are asked to wear to cut down on noise, don't look like they've ever been washed. That said, this apartment was exactly as pictured, great location, would definitely stay again. The sofa bed was very comfortable as was the bed. There is some street noise, particularly on the weekends due to restaurants below, I would bring earplugs if you're sensitive to noise during sleep, especially in the summer when you would have the windows open. It was a great place to return "home" to after a long day of walking and sightseeing. Great street market nearby, many restaurants and places to pick up dinner if you didn't feel like dining out. I have to commend the owners, nothing was left to chance regarding operation of the washer, coffee maker, oven, etc. wonderful written, easy to follow instructions for everything. This was a real plus in my opinion.

Comments:The best thing about the apartment was that the location was absolutely fantastic. The apartment was very quiet, but I can see in the summer with windows open, it could be noisy on the street outside. The bed was very comfortable, but the sheets had holes and need replacing. The bathroom was small by American standards, but expected in Europe. The next best thing was that the apartment was warm and comfy throughout the day and night - never had to touch the heat controls once - so nice to come back to after a long day in the chilly outdoors. Kitchen was nicely equipped. We would love to come back and will be recommending to anyone we know who needs accommodation in Paris. Felt very comfortable with booking procedure and got very clear instructions on location, received great map of surrounding neighbourhood and plenty of information on how to use everything in the apartment and how to leave the apartment. Key arrived by mail in plenty of time and you were very patient with us returning key (due to our travels to countries which did not have reliable postal return).

It was only thanks to another tenant that we were able to enter the staircase that led to our apartment. Also the apartments are not identified with numbers, it wasn't easy to determine which was ours. All in all, I was very satisfied with the apartment and the arrangements. However, returning the key was a small problem as finding a post office was difficult. I also find 9h am a bit early to leave the apartment; let's say 11 am would have been better. I will definitely return if I go back to Paris, I appreciated the surroundings and the security the apartment represented.

A tenant advised us that the elevator had been out since May so VIP & we should have known of such in advance. No fun dragging luggage up/down 2 flights unexpectedly. (2) a toaster would have been helpful rather than frying bread in a skillet, in the alternative. Charming apartment and neighborhood(s). Sofabed was very comfortable. Weather was cool and pleasant. Heat wave in late June early July had passed. 2 vertical fans were adequate. The lack of an air-conditioner was not a problem.

Comments:The elevator was not working and seemed not to be being worked on. While we had no trouble whatsoever, I think I would have been more comfortable if there had been a check-in call or visit from your contacts in Paris. So just in case, ones knows there is someone there.

Comments:The apartment was great, although it was cold during our stay and we found it hard to get the temperature regulated so we stayed rather cold. Other than that we had a very good experience there. Location was fabulous. Great wi-fi. Comfy bed. Loved your service. Everything about the experience was hassle free. It was so much better than a hotel. I might recommend adding a toaster or some better bath linens, but those are just minor things. I've already recommended your company to some friends travelling this summer.

Comments:There is a bar next door. People could be heard outside late at night. This could not be heard from the bedroom. I think it would disturb those who might be trying to sleep on the sofa sleeper in the living room since those windows are directly over the source of the noise. We found this apartment to be the nicest we've stayed in. It is very well furnished. The bed is really comfortable. We really like having a washer/dryer in the apartment. The entertainment system was a welcome addition and very much enjoyed on a few of those cold nights when we stayed in. Transportation options are abundant in this location. I can't begin to say enough about how much we like being next to Rue Montorguiel.
