Comments:We recommend that the owners invest in some additional glassware for the kitchen. There were plenty of wine glasses and champagne flutes (perfect!), plus small glasses, but we really needed some taller glass tumblers for water, iced tea, etc... For a house that size (sleeps 8), we recommend the owner invest in a better washer dryer. The combo machine was pathetic and never fully dried the clothes, although the washing machine aspect was fine. Plus, it's a very small appliance for the number of guests the flat can host. We strongly urge a separate washing machine and dryer, perhaps a stackable set, if space is an issue. Fortunately, we found a drying rack, and it was a fairly hot week, so we were o.k. line-drying clothes out on the lovely patio. The third floor bathroom really could use some kind of enclosure to prevent water from spilling on the floor when showering. There were three of us on the top floor and, while we were all very careful to put down the proper amount of towels on the floor, other guests might not be and the floor could get damaged from water. Plus, the floor gets slippery and could result in a guest taking a fall. In addition, there was no hand soap in the third floor bathroom, something we thought the owner would provide. Finally, we also suggest the installation of a small hand sink in the third floor WC so a guest doesn't have to walk down the hall to the bathroom to wash hands after using the toilet. Just a thought... The towels are a bit tired and could easily be replaced. Also, we had to search around to find enough sets for everyone. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms spacious. It was obvious that the owner's children occupy the top floor bedrooms as the furniture was geared towards kids. No problem. BUT, it would have been nice to have hangers that were sized for adult clothing available in the closets. We suggest a few, inexpensive plastic hangers to accommodate adult guests staying on the top floor. We STRONGLY recommend that the house book be updated. First off, there was info in it that was incomplete and/or out of date. For example, the company recommended for transport to the airport is no longer in existence so we did our own Goggle search and found a firm that provided great service but it would have been nice to just turn to the house book for the info. In addition, there was nothing provided about taxis, the METRO, trains, etc... Other info that would have been nice to have is phone numbers and menus for local restaurants, bars, boulangeries, etc... The 8th Arrondissment is not the most fabulous in Paris, but it's a GREAT location to set out and explore other parts of the city. The flat was very conveniently located to a METRO station and we easily walked to various tourist sites, too. The house book also needs much better instructions on how to operate the washer/dryer and other appliances. We never even figured out if there was an AC system available and just made use of the fans provided in each bedroom. The wi-fi worked well and the instructions were fine. Overall, the flat was lovely, secure and quiet. We enjoyed ourselves very much and appreciate that we found a place large enough to accommodate seven adults on a family vacation. We were very satisfied with the whole booking process and check-in was relatively easy. We hope the owners take our feedback into consideration to improve a good vacation rental into a great one. Comments:Great location! Great appartment! We made a last minute booking and the hosts were very accomodating. There was a bit of a communication issue about the checkout time and the next renters' checkin time but it ultimately worked out. I had to checkout in a rush but was more than happy to accomodate the next renters. Thank you quite, nice, homely feel. However the room downstairs smelled damp like there was a humidity problem What Rachelle thought you could improve about the experience: pleas update the house book with the accurate checkout time, it seems to me that the page was missing
