Comments:This flat was comfortable enough. We are a family of 4 and it was ok for us, slightly tight, but we managed. It has one bedroom with a queen size bed, a sofa bed, and a mezzanine bed in a crawl space which one cannot stand straight up. The mezzanine is good for a teen but very hard for an adult to climb into it. There is one very small bathroom. The kitchen was very small with hardly any counter space as there were too many unnecessary appliances. There is no AC so be sure you are there when its not too hot! The windows open up and there are fans so we were very comfortable. The location of the flat is in a very quiet area but the main road is just a few minutes by foot. Its is very close to the Museum D'Orsay and pretty close to the Louvre. The closest mini market we could find was a 15 min walk so if you plan to cook, plan ahead. Some amenities are that it is furnished with the necessary items to cook and eat, has a washing machine (no dryer) and has a hairdryer. This is a self catered flat so toiletries are not provided. They do give a few rolls of toilet paper and whatever else previous owners have left, but the rest is on you. It was comfortable enough for a few days but may be a little tight for an extend stay or for more than 3-4 adults

Comments:This is the 2nd time I have rented this apartment. I love this apartment--the loication, the nice furnishings, the absolute quietness of the apartment. The kitchen is good and I like the counter and chairs to eat breakfast I also felt completely safe in this neighborhood The apartment is close to major museums and also one block from the bus#69 which took us everywhere in Paris. It would be nice to have a small chest in the bedroom for sweaters, shirts, etc. I did not need the small desk in the bedroom.

Comments:Overall our stay at 25 rue de Lille was good. The property is conveniently located to all the sights and beautiful nearby neighborhoods to explore. The property was undergoing maintenance, so there was scaffolding outside of the windows, and workers arriving at 8 am to work on the building. Because the weather was very hot in Paris the days we stayed, the scaffolding and workers made it difficult to open the windows and get a cooling breeze through the apartment, so this was a bit uncomfortable. Also, the bed is a bit soft and uncomfortable. The apartment is, however, lovely and as pictured. The Vacation in Paris staff was excellent to work with, and I would definitely look at other properties managed by the company for future travel.

Comments:25 Rue de Lille was a beautiful property in the heart of Paris. We arrived late at night and while it was dark and and narrow in the lift - the instructions were very clear and we found our way easily. Cosy for a family of 5 at first but we soon settled in and found the apartment very comfortable and everything we needed within a few minutes walk. The wifi access was a real bonus for travellers. The bottle of wine was a welcome treat as was the coffee machine which we used every day. We loved it here and would definitely stay again and recommend vacation in paris to our friends and family.

Comments:The information sent was excellent in knowing the location, entrance to the property, and expectations. Good information on appliances in the apartment. The phone info was a little overwhelming and a few simple notes would have helped. We had planned on using the sofa bed but was unable to figure out how to pull it out. The washing machine and drying racks was a real benefit. Although the apartment was compact, it had all the essentials. The kitchen was an amazing result of effective compactness. Loved the location. It was an easy walk to restaurants, shopping, the Seine, and the two biggest museums. I appreciated the flexibility of VIP in their ability to resolve any adjustments we needed. The bottle of wine was a welcome surprise.

Comments:The apartment was in a great location and was clean, spacious (for a Parisian apartment) and comfortable. My only complaint was about the building: the lights in the stairwell were off at night, so we had to walk up in pitch black. If there is a way to trigger the lights to turn on, please note it in the welcome guide.

Comments:The apartment was in a perfect location, its 2 minutes walk to Metro & Musee d'Orsay, 5 minutes walk to The Louvre and 3 minutes walk to Monoprix (local grocery store). We are a family of 5 and we really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. Tania (apartment manager), Jan and Mary-Ellen (from the client services) all did an excellent job making sure that we will have an excellent time in Paris. We would certainly stay at this apartment again and would recommend it to friends and family without a worry!

Comments:This is the second time we have stayed in this apartment. Two years ago we noticed that the light over hood on stove did not work--still did not work this time. We also had to report that light in shower did not work, it was soon fixed. However, the outlet in bathroom which would have been used for hair dryer did not work. We reported this to manager and she came by with an extension cord which allowed one to dry hair with the use of mirror. Without this one would not have had use of mirror when drying hair. Manager said that she had reported electrical problems to owner and that he would arrange for an electrician to come by. In the 3 weeks that we were there, electrician never showed up. As a matter of fact, lighting in entire apt. is insufficient if one wishes to read.
The main plus of this apartment for 2 people is the location--one block from river, 3 blocks from Blvd. St. Germain, couldn't be better, but the comfort issues remain a problem. Mattress on bed is rather soft for American standards, and sofa bed in living room is extremely uncomfortable.

Comments:I have a cleaning business of my own so I tend to notice things more so then the typical person. Overall the Apt was ok. But it could stand a thorough deep clean. Meaning everything should be wet wiped down. EX. the trim in the bathroom really needs a wipedown. The linens were ok but don't be so stingy on the towels, and provide wash cloths. The noise from outside of the building isnt so much anything you can do about it. But it sounded like a dog howling ALL nite starting at about 1am. That was really annoying since it was so warm you needed the windows open.

Comments:One night our neighbors had an all night party - from 9 pm until 5 am. The noise and vibration of the music and voices made us feel like we were trying to sleep in a disco. It was a very hot night so windows were open. We had to close our windows because it was so loud, but it made it very hot in the apartment. We barely slept that night because of the noise and the heat. It was the only night we had a problem with noise.
Because of the rules laid out to us about "quiet hours" and our strict concern for and adherence to them, we were surprised at the utter disregard of them by other tenants. For a better use of space, we recommend eliminating the bar stools (not very usable since there's no room to tuck feet under counter) and adding snack tables and folding chairs that can be stored and used when needed for eating.

Comments:The apartment is in a perfect location! There was some sewage snell coming from the bathroom, but is to be expected from a building that age....just needed to run water... added an air freshener to help... very hospitable building manager... the guest book was in valuable... might add some of the notes from that to the apartment instructions, ie. ATM, grocery store, etc. Will definately recommend the apartment again... and if we return will see if unit is availabe! Thank you!

Comments:We spent 3 nights in this lovely apartment and can't recommend it enough. It is in a very interesting little neighborhood close to a ton of sites and businesses. The D'Orsay, Seine and Metro were a 5 minute walk away from the apartment. The Louvre about a 10 minute walk and Notre Dame 20 minutes. There were lots of nice little restaurants and shops in the neighborhood, all within a 5 minute walk. The apartment itself was beautifully kept and was perfect for 2 adults and 1 child (who loved sleeping in the loft bed). My mother's luggage was lost by the airline so she had to spend 1 1/2 days in the apartment waiting for it to be delivered and was very comfortable being there. When we return to Paris, we will definitely try to stay in this apartment again. I'd also like to call out the people at VIP, in general. They were very nice and helpful throughout the reservation process and with any follow up questions we had. I would recommend that anyone looking to rent an apartment in Paris, to use VIP.

Comments:The apartment was all that we expected and more. Kitchen tiny but useable some appliances need replacing like Kettle and there was no bread knife. Took awhile to work out the TV. We could walk to everywhere from this apartment and it was so lovely and quiet but in a great shopping area for all needs as well. If didn't want to walk the metro was close by as well.

Comments:The entire rental experience was flawless. The information package arrived more than a month before our trip. We received the key more than a week before our trip. The information package was very detailed and made our trip planning easier. Getting to the apartment was exactly as described and we had no problems getting in the property or the apartment. The door and lock are very secure and easy to use. The only way someone could get in that door is if the lock wasn't set correctly. The apartment is cozy and romantic for two. The kitchen is small but functional. Same with the bathroom. About what you should expect for a small apartment in central Paris. I don't think an adult or even a teen would be comfortable in the loft, but for children it would be okay. The Internet was very handy and there were several English language channels on the TV. The neighborhood is perfect. Restaurants, grocery stores, and bakery within a couple of blocks. Right down the street from the D'Orsay and across the river from the Louvre. You could walk to all the major sites or take the Metro from several nearby stations. If you are coming from or going to the Airport, there is a RER station at the D'Orsay.

Comments:The apartment was very typically Parisian and had a lovely feel to it. We really enjoyed the location and the ambience of the apartment and the building it is in. The bathroom was very small but we understand that is to be expected in traditional parisian apartments. The towels could have been more generous, they were small and somewhat threadbare.
The apartment was well equipped and as we were staying for nearly a week it provided a very homely place for us from which we could fully enjoy the delights of Paris.
The booking process and the information about the apartment were very well organised. All the information arrived in a timely way and the arrangements for the keys worked extremely well. We have travelled quite a bit and have experienced this aspect not working so well so thank you for the effort you put into these important details. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay

Comments:The location of the apartment was ideal and so close to metro. We were super blessed to be able to stay there for a week. The only thing was that there was construction being done on the building and we woke up really early twice due to noise, but I gues Only thing I would change the shower curtain in the bathroom because there is mold growing on it. Other than that it was a great, cozy, and comfortable apartment to stay in.

Comments:The bathroom suffers greatly from any lack of ventilation. This was mentioned in the guestbook and should be addressed. The location was just wonderful! The convenience was exceptional. The building was very pleasant except for the weeknight party across the courtyard that was quite loud and lasted till 2 or 3 am. We were there during the July heat wave and it was 96 degrees -- an unairconditioned 4th floor apartment is challenging.
All that said, in another time of year -- we'd definitely consider again potentially if the bathroom were fixed. The customer service was great before and after the trip. We were very pleased with getting keys before departure. The information included with the keys was thorough and appreciated! Great company practices from our experiences.

Comments:Hi,
The location was terrific, but the apartment seemed a little run down and the bathroom was too small and not very comfortable. Additionally, because of previous renters, it seemed to have built up so much steam that the bathroom seemed mouldy and I was a bit afraid of being in there too long.
The cost was a little high given the condition of the unit -- particularly because I was staying less than a week, so additional money was tacked on. I tried to negotiate the rate, but was told the owner would not budge.
If the place could have a little work done (primarily in the bathroom), this would be a definite "do-again" because of the wonderful location in Paris. Yes, the instructions on finding the apartment and getting into it were never very clear. Apparently there is a door code, which was not given to me (not sure if the key worked in the lock?). Thankfully, the building manager saw us coming with our luggage and helped us get in and showed us where the unit was on the 4th floor.
What I LOVE is that other rental properties do not send you the keys in advance and I loved the fact that V.I.P. does -- it helped reduce the stress for us so that whenever we arrived, we didn't have to bother anyone, we could just go directly to the unit and mail the keys home when we arrived back in the U.S. This is great!
I also thought the correspondence with the V.I.P. representative before I left was amazing - she was so helpful and answered all questions I had quickly and accurately, so the response from the organization I thought was very good.
I would definitely use a V.I.P. property again, just not sure if I would use this one...

Also the blankets on sofa bed and loft bed had human hairs all over them so we did not think they had been cleaned properly.

Comments:Everything was very nice, but just a couple critiques:
The people in the apartment above the bedroom were loud in the middle of the night and early morning. We could hear lots of talking & walking around.
The sofa bed was uncomfortable & we did not sleep well on it.
We had to try several times to unlock the front door each time. The deadbolt would open but it was very hard to get that last "click" to open the door. Sometimes we were standing outside for several minutes trying. This was frustrating especially after a long day.
Still we would stay there again. It was a nice place with a nice location & very clean. I think the value was great. P.S. We did find the wine, but we don't drink wine so we didn't open the bottle.
