Comments:Excellent is not a strong enough word to use for all the items above. If it weren't for the three-flight climb, I would never rent a different VIP apartment again. (This was my 7th VIP rental). The location and the kitchen make it perfect for foodies?between two great markets, and in the arrondissement with most of the hot new restaurants. (Allmost half the current Paris by Mouth 50 favorite restaurants are in the 11th), Ditto of opera lovers (who tend to be foodies), as it is only a block from the Opera Bastille. Even though it was chilly and sprinkling, both nights I went to the opera I didn't wear a jacket or coat, as it was so close. Back to the kitchen?I usually travel with a small pack of necessary tools and knives, as I am fussy. Not necessary here! There are even egg cups. With two nearby metro stations, you reach daytime sites quickly. Then come home to a good meal, in or out! I was coming off a strenuous trip to Italy, and needed a lot of rest. I couldn't have had a more comfortable place!

Comments:Everything in the apartment was wonderful. We were particularly grateful to have access to a washing machine. It's hard to believe how quiet the apartment and courtyard were, because the nearby street was so noisy. Very, very convenient to the Metro, nice neighborhood, easy access to everything. We wouldn't have wanted to park a car nearby - but fortunately there was absolutely no need. Great neighborhood, and a great place to stay - spotless, everything we needed. It's hard to convey what a great place this was to stay, and how much it added to our trip. One exception to everything we needed was a drying rack for clothes, but the towel heater did the job.

Comments:This is a fabulous apartment -- and perfectly located. My only complaint was I don't think the clothes washer was working properly and the kitchen shears and some of the kitchen knives needed sharpening. There was a steel there -- I just don't know how to use it! I would go back and stay there in a heart beat.

Comments:The staff at vacation in paris was super helpful. I called weeks before we arrived detailing what our plans in Paris were. The woman suggested this apartment and was able to describe the area well because she had been there herself. This apartment was perfect for our family of 5. It was very comfortable, clean, and much more affordable than a hotel. The kitchen was adequately stocked so that we could make meals in while we were there. Our kids got tired of restaurants. Because it is set off the street by a courtyard it is surprisingly quiet. The location was perfect for our sightseeing. We could walk some days but when we took the metro it was very close. There were also many places to eat close by with a good mixture of restaurants and something quick. We also walked several times to the market down the street. I am so glad I found your business on the internet. I was frustrated trying to find a hotel to fit our party of 5 and after hours of searching you gave us the perfect match. This is the first time we have used an apartment when traveling but it will now be our preferred accommodation when traveling with our children. Thanks for making our vacation to Paris a success.

Comments:A bit of a workout when you arrive as the apartment is located on the 4th floor and there is no elevator but consider that you will only do this once so not a significant issue. You may want to pack some English DVDs for entertainment on some evenings as the english programming selection is mainly BBC news. The apartment is very spacious, functional and tastefully decorated which isn't evident from looking at the pictures on the website. The Metro station is less than a 5 minute walk and provides easy access to other areas of the city including one of the main train stations. The Bastille district has it's own charm and is a lively section with many restaurants and bars nearby. Very convenient to have computer access in the apartment for staying in touch and getting additional information on nearby attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

Comments:We loved everything about the apartment with the very small exception of the shower, which could use a curtain. The description of the location of the apartment was Le Marais but it really wasn't in Le Marais, but close to it. A more accurate description would be Bastille area, just so someone looking for a specific location is not mislead.

Comments:We had booked this apartment at the last minute because of changes in our vacation plans. It turned out to be an absolute delight. For all future trips to Paris, I would look to VIP before looking for a hotel, especially for us with two kids. Piko was a terrific hostess when we called to notify her of our arrival and when she showed us around the apartment.

Comments:the apartment was outstanding and had a wonderful feel and functionality. We had a wonderful experience in Paris in no small part to the accommodation. My wife, children and I really enjoyed our time and found the location of the apartment to be excellent. Close enough to many of the main attractions to walk (we're a reasonably active family though) but located far enough away from the main tourist area so as to have a more authentic feel. We've already recommended VacationsInParis to other friends planning to visit Paris.

Comments:The appartment is modern, spacious and very comfortable. Perfect for two. It's open plan with huge windows and very bright and airy. It's across a courtyard so no traffic noise. We hadn't stayed in this arrondissement before so it was great to explore. It's a short walk to Isle de la cite etc and onto the Latin Quarter south of the river or west to Place des Vosges. There are markets and supermarkets within easy walking distance as well as restaurants. From Gare du Nord it took about 35-45 minutes as it was direct, train to door. Just remembered that the bathroom doors were VERY squeaky which was amplified at night. We didn't need to use the washing machine but noticed that the dryer was not in use. It is a very warm flat and there is a dryer in the bathroom (on wall) but American visitors might be counting on it. Perfect otherwise.
