Comments:The apartment is in a brilliant location near to the Eiffel tower. The bones of this apartment were excellent. The beds were very comfortable and the owner was very approachable and lovely to deal with. It is a beautiful old apartment which has been well renovated some years ago. The intervening years have caused some issues that now mean that staying here has some draw backs.
The bathroom was the main issue with hot water that ran scolding and then cold every minute or so through a shower and a toilet seat that was not attached to the toilet. Many of the skirting boards were off and the washing machine had some issues. There is no cooling in this apartment which was challenging on the very hot week we were there. The only other thing for other guests to be made aware of is that this place is on the fourth floor with no lift, ok for a young family, but would be very difficult for less physically able people with heavy luggage.
It did not feel like in it's current state it is value for money
With a small review by the owners to fix wear and tear and perhaps a couple of airconditioners, this place could easily be back to 5 star

Comments:This is a great apartment. Our family of four was extremely comfortable here for our week in Paris. The location is convenient with the Eiffel Tower 10 minutes away and access to cafes and grocery stores. Its quiet at night and very roomy. The view of the Eiffel Tower lit up at night is quite special and was a delight for our family! We would stay again and highly recommend.

The apartments are exactly as stated, the information given before the trip is very thorough, you've thought of everything and it is much appreciated. I've recommended Vacation in Paris to everyone that mentions visiting Paris. It really is the only way to go! Thank you once again.

Comments:The light for the kitchen was out so we had to use another light from the bedroom to light the kitchen. I would have replaced the bulb, however there wasn't an extra bulb to change it with.
The bathroom door didn't close all the way. This should be fixed. Best to remove the old lock and replace with something new.
The other major issue with the apartment is the hotwater. Either it is burning hot, or ice cold. This should be looked at since it could easily scald a young child taking a shower or washing their hands.
I did chat with the owner and he was very nice and apologized about the light in the kitchen. We had a great time in the apartment and were very pleased with the apartment. It felt ab it expensive, however Paris is not cheap!
Thank you very much for the stay!

Comments:Good points: excellent wifi-- we had 2 teenagers able to use youtube, netflix, etc. with no problem while Dad was streaming the World Cup! The mattresses were very comfortable and the sheets were clean. The apartment was clean and spacious. Thank you for the excellent bottle of wine. We enjoyed ourselves very much.
Needs: one of the twin beds had a broken leg which we were able to prop up, but it would pop out occasionally and the bed would fall over. The shower could use a hanging caddy for soap and shampoos so we would not have to leave them on the floor of such a tight space. We could not figure out how to use the hand-held showerhead and the water went from being boiling hot to freezing cold--hard to find warm! Also, in the bathroom, some sort of privacy curtain would have been nice. We used a towel to cover the window. The latch on the WC did not keep the door closed. Door stops for keeping doors from slamming when windows open would be helpful. The kitchen overhead light was not working, though the over-counter light did work. There were no directions (in any language) for the washer/dryer, and it was difficult to figure out. Please alert the building manager that the stairwell light was out and it was extremely dark when we came in after sundown-had to use cell phones to see the stairs. We would absolutely recommend this apartment or be happy to use it again. The many stairs and high step in/out of the shower would make it difficult for anyone not in good shape or perhaps older visitors, but the views were delightful, and the quiet neighborhood with many conveniences was perfect. We recommend the Fat Tire Bike Tour of Paris and the Musee d'Orsay as two of our favorite experiences.

Comments:We were very pleased with the property and the overall service from Vacation In Paris. From our first message, the staff were helpful in recommending a property given our family size. The booking was smooth and the keys arrived as promised. Two small points. One, the cable never did work on the TV so we were restricted to just two channels. Secondly, we couldn't find directions for the washer / dryer. We had a very pleasant experienced with Vacation in Paris and would happily book another vacation, either this property or perhaps another.

Comments:This was my third stay in this apartment. On this trip, we had 4 unrelated adult friends sharing the space and we all found that there was plenty of room to spread out and not get in each other's way. Great neighborhood - safe, lots of good places to e During the cooler months, it would be helpful to let clients know if the heating will be working. Comments:The apartment is great, and my family have enjoyed our stay very much.
However, we would like to make some suggestions to help it further improved:
1. Hot water is too little while taking bath, which gave me some difficulty.
2. It would be nice to provide an additional dryer rack to hang washed clothes.
3. The English version of the user's manuals of washer and microwave could not be found while we stayed. It took us some time to figure them out.

The neighborhood was good, but many areas we wanted to visit required multiple metro transfers, especially to get to/from airport. But over the course of the next couple of hours we found very limited supplies (1 extra roll of TP and 1/2 roll of paper towels) and kitch

Comments:The only negative concerning our stay at #219 is that the property manager must have forgotten to put out the correct number of towels and face cloths. We only found 1 set of towels (1 lg bath towel, 1 small hand towel)and no face cloths. We later discovered a locked cabinet that had some of these products in it and were able to slide an extra set of towels out of it without unlocking the cabinet. We didn't want to bother the property owner with this request but it was inconvenient for the first 2 days to share everything. There was also only 1 roll of toilet paper left out for the entire week so we bought some of this to leave in the room. Other than that, the property was wonderful and felt like a home away from home. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
Thank you,
Angele I am still attempting to track down the lost set of keys that have been mailed back to you but did not reach you for some reason. I hope to have this sorted out shortly. So far the post office here in Canada believes that they entered the US but have lost track of them after that.

Comments:We loved the unit - a home away from home in the heart of Paris. The location was perfect but as a family of four with two young children we were also able to relax and have some quiet time amidst all the site seeing. Probably the only dissappointing aspect was the shower was a bit tricky and kept running out of warm water. Please pass on our thanks to the owners - we had a wonderful holiday and loved the elegant and comfortable atmosphere of the unit. We'd love to come back again one day.

Comments:The pillows on the beds could stand to be replaced- they were kind of lumpy and squashy :) Also, the bathroom door lock is very temperamental- it tended to stick and was difficult to open and close- this really needs to be looked at.
The water temperature in the shower was quite particular- difficult to adjust, and would go from hot to cold with no warning. Overall it was a lovely apartment. The only other thing that would have been nice to have was a teapot. Other than this we were very pleased.

Comments:We enjoyed our stay, however there are problems with the hot water system... It is either scalding hot or freezing cold when having a shower (that is why the bathroom got a 5). We have young children and this is dangerous as when the water is hot, it is burning. The other problem we found was getting in the front door. The locks are very tricky to work out and we had to fiddle with the door for quite some time when first arriving. It is quite noisy from outside the building but fine when the windows are closed. There are some things like pots and pans and glasses in concealed cupboards in the kitchen and lounge room which are not obvious to find. Maybe a note just to say to look in these cupboards for these things, Otherwise, a good apartment.
Organising this stay was smooth and easy with the key arriving in plenty of time before we left the country.

Comments:The pillows absolutely need replacing and there are not enough towels for 6 people for a stay of 6 nights as we did. Extra mugs would be good and would save on dishwasher cycles! Also the curtains in the bedroom facing Avenue duQuesne are far too thin and do not eliminate any light. Their replacement should not be a big expense but would considerably improve one's ability to have a good nights rest.
These few upgrades would make a good experience a great one.

Comments:The apartment, overall, was very good. It was an ideal location, easy access to places we wanted to visit while in Paris. We had six people stay there (4 teens & 2 adults) and we were very comfortable with the beds and space. Only real downsides:

Comments:Based on the apartment's guest book, there were a lot of comments regarding the difficulty in using the dish washer and the washer/dryer. Since I read French, I had no significant problems other than convincing my co-travelers that everything was fine but slow. Although I had prepared myself with a extra roll of toilet paper, we were surprised to discover that the apartment had no toilet paper or paper towels readily available. Apartment might be considered as being small but it was deemed very satisfactory for our use based on location and cost. By the way, the wine was excellent and was a great start to our Paris experience and subsequent travels through Southern France. I am very impressed with Vacation In Paris, LLC's services. The communication throughout the reservation phase, pre-travel phase, and post-travel phase was excellent. The pre-travel information was very helpful.

Comments:Seat to toilet was broken. Door to toilet was very difficult to close. I'm sure the noise from trying to shut the door was disturbing to residents below apartment. Other than that, the apartment was very comfortable. It was also difficult climbing to the 5th floor with luggage, but I knew about that before, so it wasn't a surprise. Great location and everything in the apartment you could want, with great views. Only irritating issue was the keys. It was difficult to keep track of them while traveling before and after our stay (they are fairly bulky), and hard to remember to mail them back, as well as requiring a visit to the post office. If there was some other way to handle this one aspect, it would make the whole experience extremely easy.

The microwave was confusing for us, which meant only cold meals. A couple of good cutting knives would be helpful too. Comments:The big problem was the hot water - many guests had complained in the house book about this over the past year or so. Erratic, scalding, dangerously hot for a few minutes then cold. Never happened in other apartments in France or U.S. with instant hot water and was really annoying to everyone. Kitchen and bathroom. Other big problem was the interior doors that stuck and had to make a lot of noise to open and close, and we didn't want to disturb anyone in the building! Other than those 2 items, the apartment was great. Noisy with the windows open on street side, but that's to be expected. Excellent location, comfortable rooms. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend Vacation in Paris (and have previously) and the apartment. I'm missing it right now!

Comments:Loved the apartment. Close proximity to Eiffel Tower, metro, Rue Cler and supermarket. The issues we had: The bathroom doors did not close properly. The door knobs will be coming off shortly if the doors are not adjusted. The manager/owner also has to do something about the shower water temperature. The showers were definitely not enjoyable. Comments:This is a great apartment! We loved the 7th Arrondisement. We could walk to lots of things. There was a Metro stop nearby (Ecole Militaire), but there were no tourist crowds or noise. We managed to visit most of the well-known Paris neighborhoods during our stay, and I would not stay in any of those over this one. The apartment was perfect for our family of five. Although we did not cook at home, the kitchen was fully stocked with plates, cups, utensils, etc. Most of the furnishings were very new, and the beds were comfortable. It was a challenge to find a happy medium between scalding and frigid with the bath/shower water, but that is the one and only drawback (and, from speaking with friends, this is common in many Paris apartments).

Comments:The bathroom was good, except for the lack of hot water. After less than a minute or so, the hot water would run out and could not be used again for several hours -- a major inconvenience.
In addition, even though we followed the instructions in the apa it was wonderful other than the heat and hot water.
