Comments:Bedding in any other section except the Loft was sub-standard. It was incorrect to advertise that it sleeps 6. 2 people (of similar size and weight) sharing the 2nd bed was not achievable as the bed is on a slant so one rolled into the other. The single bed was OK and the 6th person had to sleep on the lounge which needs attention as it squeaks every time someone moves or turns over. Quite unhappy with the bedding for the price paid for the apartment. The Visitor book was non-existent as it was being updated and the key code for admittance had been changed but hopefully that will all resolve itself. There was no corkscrew to open wine

Comments:this apartment was generally fantastic, however there were a couple of small maintenance issues particularly with the kitchenware. Whilst generally well fitted out, the kitchen lacked good quality cutlery, glassware and mugs. There were only two water glasses, and a strange assortment of coffee cups. The cutlery was very cheap, badly affected by the yard water of Paris, and not up to the standard of the rest of the apartment. A decent sized saucepan would also be great. This is a well situated and very comfortable art meant. We are familiar with Paris and used the apartment for family reunion purposes. We hosted a reasonably large Christmas lunch very confortably. The apartment is excellent for 4-5 people. However, the experience would be enhanced by better equipment in the kitchen, particularly cutlery and glassware. We would seriously consider using this apartment again and have already recommended it to friends. The area is fantastic, great food, restaurants, bakeries close at hand. Interesting shops, and easy access to the rest of Paris by foot or Metro. The agency was a pleasure to deal with, very responsive and amenable.

Comments:This apartment was excellent. We ended up in this property after things did not work out with our first choice. I was a bit hesitant, because the 10th does not have a lot of tourist destinations that we were going to; however, The Republique metro station is so very close that it didn't matter at all. We had 3 adults and 2 kids. This apartment was the perfect size. We had plenty of room to spread out, so the time in the apartment was very enjoyable. It was also nice that the WC is separate from the shower and there are sinks in both--that made it convenient for everyone to get ready in the morning. I would note that the washer and dryer work excellently but are VERY small. The upstairs loft area is very stylish and has pleasant skylights, but could be dangerous for kids. The stairs don't have railngs, and there is no railing along the edge of much of the loft. It is fine for adults, but definitely would not work for elementary-aged or younger kids. Our kids stayed in one of the bedrooms downstairs, so it was fine. The area has a lot of restaurants, and isn't very touristy, so it's easy to find good food at pretty good prices. The apartment is close to an incredible bakery--Du Pain et Des Idees and a Monop'. The information provided by VIP was excellent, and everything was as represented. I would definitely use this company again, and would love to stay in this rental again.

Comments:when we arrived in Paris it was difficult to get a hold of the property manager. we did not clear instructions from your people about needing a country code (we had purchased international calling service from Verizon.) when we did get though to his phone his answering machine picked up and we then contacted the back up manager who did manage to contact him. i was under the impression he would be waiting for us since i had given all our flight info to pass on to him. The apartment seemed a bit on t he expensive side compared to the amazing house we rented in Provence--I was somewhat taken aback that though we rented it for 6 nights total we were charged additional fee of $172 for each stay of 3 nights. I would have been nice to get a break on that.

Comments:There was no complimentary bottle of wine and no book or binder of information on the apartment or neighborhood. Some written general information and guidelines would have been helpful during our stay. I was happy with the ease of making these bookings and the ability to actually pick up the keys from the property manager in Paris. I prefer this option over having the keys sent to me and having the responsibility of sending them back to the U.S.

Comments:We assumed the apartment had air-conditioning. Was a little warm in July but the top floor and plenty of windows let a nice breeze in. The neighboor hood is very nice and not touristy. Very close to a lot of local restaurants and to the metro. The scene around the canal on weekends is very nice with a lot of people having picnics.

Comments:Just about the neighborhood: Fantastic. Safe. Pretty. Not quite central, but really close to the Metro. The shops that you need close by. And some really nice cafe's for breakfast. I was really impressed about this. We had an electrical problem during the visit, some circuit-breaker thing. (Don't worry, it won't happen to you, I'm sure it's fixed.) What I want to report is that I called the property manager about 7PM and told him of the problem. He told me not to worry, he'd look at it. By the time we returned from dinner (10PM?), everything was fixed! If you are reading this, please focus on the right part: Don't focus on the problem. Chances are 50% that, anywhere you rent, there will be something that breaks. I'm sure that if you stayed in my house for a week something would go wrong. Focus instead on the fact that the guy fixed it ... quickly and when we weren't even there! These (vacationinparis) folks are great, and this property was great!

Comments:The beds were not as great as we had hoped. Upper loft was very hot, might have helped if there was a fan in suite. It rained quite heavily some evenings so we couldn't open the sky lights. There was smoke coming from outside the building one evening, as people were participating in a celebration, that was only time there was noise. We really enjoyed staying in this area of Paris. We loved the shops, cafes and markets that were located nearby. It was really easy to use bicycles or Metro to get to other areas of the city. Staying in this apartment was one of the highlights of our visit to Paris.

Comments:A few of the glass stairs in the loft felt a little wobbly/unstable when approaching the bottom half of the staircase. A little chilly through out the night, so difficult figuring out the heater. I called the manager the next day but didn't need to adjust the heater after all because the temperature outside got a little warmer. The view from the terrace was fabulous. I am so glad there was an elevator- especially when travelling with older parents and luggage. My father loved the CD music selection!

Comments:We did "GOOGLE EARTH" the location & at first site was a bit concerned about the area. The local businesses had graffiti all over the place. However, once we were actually there, we (all 4 ladies) felt very secure. The location was wonderful & extremely close to the metro. I would highly recommend that you provide a METRO MAP, as that was way better than the tiny map you provided.

Comments:The instructions from VIP were great - but there is a system that I did not see in the instructions that is probably new. It is sort of a "Fast Pass" system in which you pass an electronic key in front of a sensor and the hallway door leading to the elevator opens. We were lucky that a neighboor was coming out and helped us, as we could not have figured that one out! You have a well run company that I would definitely trust again and again to find a great place to stay. I'd love to know that you run this service in other places. The system in which you go to an apartment already in possesion of a key is awesome. Your customer service and communication is great. Thanks!

Comments:The kitchen was very dirty--grease spots everywhere and only one dirty dishtowel to use. Wouldn't stay again because only one bedroom is private. Not appropriate for four adults. More appropriate for a family with children. Otherwise, it was great fun. Working with your agency has been great. I would use you again.

Comments:The apartment was not ready for us when we arrived. We went out for groceries and when we got back, it still was not ready. We went out for a meal and when we returned, it was available. That was 4:00 pm local time. The scaffolding and the workers outside the patio did affect the ambiance of the apartment. We were made aware of the work before we booked, but it as intrusive. Also, I am not sure if we have gotten our key and deposit refund. Is it put back on credit card?

Comments:There was only one night where a rowdy party in the neighborhood disturbed us until the wee hours of the morning. The towels were small and thin, but with no access to a dryer, thicker towels were not practical I guess. The temperature in Paris was extreme (90's) and one of the two fans was broken :( so sleeping in a top floor apartment was very uncomfortable. But, the neighborhood was very nice and the metro was easily accessible and we felt safe. This apartment was perfect for what we needed on this trip. Thank you. This was a good experience for this novice! I did this on the encouragement of one of my employees who rents flats when they travel oversees. I shall do this again.

We enjoyed the spaciousness of the apartment having two grown sons (6 foot 2 inches) with us. They liked having separate rooms. The loft was wonderful along with the sky windows.

But it was not clean - the floors need a thorough mopping and it looked like every surface was wiped down with the same dirty rag. Comments:The bed linen is probably due renewal, the pillows were somewhat soft and small, could do with renewal The lift is very small, larger clients may struggle to share. The stairs would be a challenge to those who are less able. On a positive note the apartment is in real Paris, the Tabac on the corner is excellent, the staff really made us feel welcome even after their team won at the rugby.

Comments:Very well stocked. I have rented apartments before and usually bring the necessities as most apartments don't have toilet paper, washcloths, enough towels, etc. We were supplied with 5 or 6 rolls of toilet paper in the WC and probably a total of 10 towels of different sizes in the shower. The kitchen had a nice assortment of flatware, serving, cutlery, bowls, dishes, and cups. There were also basic spices in the cupboards. All of the appliances worked properly and included clear instructions. Our only real issue was the door to the WC was hard to use. It was not aligned properly and would scrape the floor and the door frame when opening and closing which was VERY loud. There were some large cracks in the plaster walls that should be fixed. I noticed the price went up between the time of our booking and our stay. While I enjoyed #218, this increase in price puts it into another price range that has a lot of competition. Comments:Your staff was very helpful and professional in helping me make reservations and were very knowledgeable about the property features. The property manager, Mr. Karim Aityounes was very flexible in accommodating our late arrival and was very helpful in getting us settled in. He seemed genuinely interested in helping us with anything we needed to have a nice stay. I would recommend this flat to friends as the location and room for the price is very good.

Comments:Overall excellent experience - my first using an apartment. Your handling of communications ahead of the visit was great... very detailed. I didn't know the bottle of wine was for us. That could have been highlighted a bit more. Wish I'd known. The bathroom was hard to keep the shower water in the shower. A 240V to 120V converter would be a nice addition. Plenty quiet. An umbrella or two would be nice. Some guy was beating on the door one morning insisting that we had to give him 5 euros for something related to trash collection. I refused kindly, he left a card.

Comments:It is a fabulous apartment in a pleasant and convenient neighbourhood. Initially we were disappointed as the apartment smelt of dirty ashtrays, the bins were full of rubbish and some of the sheets were not clean. This was soon rectified although it took a couple of days for the smell to go. Once this was sorted, we found the apartment bright, spacious and comfortable. We would like to book this apartment in the future but would like to know whether the internet has been sorted out before doing so. It would not have been such a problem if we had known before we arrived.

Loved feeling like we "lived" in Paris. Notebook with shopping and food tips was nice (but needs updating). Loved the map that was provided with the apartment instructions, actually used it so much it fell apart! Thanks for helping make our Paris visit a wondeful and memorable experience.

Comments:The couch that could be used as a bed was not suitable for sitting never mind sleeping. The Dryer had a note on it not to use and there was no laundry mat in the area. The linen was clean as was the kitchen the rest of the apartment could have used a good dusting. The book said this apartment never got to hot. It was unbearable. There was only 1 useable fan in contrast to the two they stated there was. It was so hot we had to go buy and and leave it there. The first 3 nights we were there one of the neighbors in the building across the street found it suitable to try to educate the neighborhood with a different type of music. Starting around 12pm. You couldn't shut the doors to keep it out because of the extreme heat in the apartment. Your staff is the best. I will use you for future trip, just not this apartment.

Comments:We loved the apartment it was very chic and we had lots of fun. On our other visits to Paris we stayed in the more touristy area. This time we really enjoyed seeing a different side of Paris and ate out at the lovely local restaurants. As the apartment was near the subway we were able to travel any where we desired to go, cheaply and efficiently. I would definitely recommend this apartment to any friends. The Vacation in Paris staff were prompt and efficient in their communication with me over the email system. Sounded like really nice people.
