Comments:What a lovely property in a beautiful area! We were very happy with the property.
It seemed the directions for the stovetop were missing. It was rather confusing to figure out, so it would be helpful if that was replaced.
The couch is showing quite a bit of wear, with a hole in the arm and what appears to be an ink stain on the cushion.
We tried very hard to stay quiet inside the apartment. It would have helped to have a rug under the table and chairs, though we did try.
Thank you so much for the bottle of wine. We enjoyed it on the balcony while relaxing after wonderful days sightseeing.

The whole key delivery-instructions to the apartment-key return process was excellent.

Comments:The district is ideal as it is within short walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees and premium bistros. The view from the apartment was amazing. Staying in an apartment (rather than a hotel) greatly enhanced our experience in Paris!

Comments:We rented this apartment with another couple for six days.
First, the suggestions for improvements:
The bathroom in the second bedroom needs a grab bar in the shower. Getting in and out of this shower with a large step down to the floor is uncomfortable. This shower needs a soap tray in the shower to hold soap and haircare products. This bathroom also needs more hooks to hang up towels and robes. The lock did not work on the door between this bathroom and the small hall next to the kitchen.
The second bedroom could use a small armoire for hanging a few clothes. The chest of drawers is spacious, but the room needs hanging space.
The apartment next to us was being fully renovated. The workmen stayed as late as 19:00 some evenings. The noise of sawing and floor sanding was very unpleasant when it continued after we had returned from daytime touring.
Now the positives:
This is a beautiful apartment on a wonderful, quiet, narrow cobblestoned pedestrianized street. We slept with the windows open without being disturbed by city noises.
The living room is comfortably spacious with delightful historic details.
Le Beacour, the restaurant less than 100 meters from our front door, was delightful. When we returned for our second meal there, the waiter remembered the easily accessible table for my wife where we sat during our first visit. By the end of our stay, we had met the restaurant's Owner, our recurring waiter's fianc?e, and other members of staff who all wished us a safe trip home after a Farewell to Paris dinner Saturday night.
The views of the Russian Orthodox church were beyond expectations. To be in the middle of Paris and able to look out the living room French doors at this historic building with mature trees was always delightful.
Parc Monceau, just two blocks away, was a relaxing outdoor space perfect for a picnic or just leisurely strolling.
The booklet describing neighborhood restaurants, groceries and other attractions was very helpful. The key arrived at our home prior to departure as promised. We had no trouble getting through the courtyard gate, the building's front door or the door to our apartment. The elevator, while small, would accommodate my wife (if she stood), her wheelchair

Comments:The towels were almost threadbare as were the sheets. The second bathroom could ahve used an extra hook or two to hang towels to dry. Minor issues but new linens would be great.
the key both collecting and where to leave when depart instructions could be improved. Not clear what to do with key when leave - leave unlocked?
Better instrcutions for the washer/dryer combo. Not standard equipment in NAmerica so better instructions on how to program would have been helpful. Both the owner adn the clenang person were very helpful. The book of informtion with restaurants suggestions etc was terrific. We loved our stay in Paris!

Comments:The property was nice and in a quiet location. A bit expensive I thought for what we had. I was paying to stay in that area. My real concern was the number of DONT'S that I read in the information sent to me, then in the apartment. My family and I couldn't relax as much as we would have liked to. I didnt use the washing machine in case it broke! I would have liked to have been aware that it was in a residential block before I booked. We are not a noisy family anyway, but I felt like I had to keep telling my kids to be quiet. This is only a small thing but you need to supply a kettle!

Comments:The towels were quite coarse and scratchy. It was difficult to control the temperature inside the refrigerator. The drain in the shower in the small bathroom drained very slowly (we mentioned this to the caretaken upon our departure). The apartment book was very complete; it had instructions for everything and recommendations for restaurants, etc., which we used.

Comments:When we arrived, overall, the apartment was beautiful, but we noticed that the cook top was slightly shipped at the upper left hand side.
Also, the phone was difficult to use. We had a terrific experience, and would definitely recommend using Vacation in Paris. The location of the apartment was perfect and the area was very safe. The apartment was beautiful, had a great view from the balcony, and was within walking distance to the Arc/Champs-Elysees and a Metro stop, so it was very convenient to get around. We had an incredible time, and would love to rent this particular apartment again!

Comments:The drawback with the bath in the main room was that you had to sit to shower- no support for a "shower" as such. a bath with a shower rose
The door on the second bathroom needed some attention, it was either partly open or completely jammed but otherwise we were really happy here.
We loved our little home in Paris. It felt like a retreat and SO close to the beautiful orthodox church next door. NB the info in the book is very useful and on the plane on the way over we found a number for international (english speaking) taxi service- this might be a worthy addition to the book

Comments:Overall, we liked the apartment and its quiet but very convenient location to all services, restaurants and transportation. I do have a few comments.
Upon entering, the apartment had a very strange and rather unpleasant odor which lingered emanating from the kitchen area.
There are a couple issues concerning safety that I'd like to mention.
1. The area rug in the living room under the coffee table is curled up at one end. After a couple people tripped on it, we rolled it up and stored it out of the way.
2. The high step down from the shower is dangerous as there is only the flimsy shower glass to hold on to. When you are wet stepping down from and to tiles makes for a lot of slipperiness with that one unstable hand-hold. I'd suggest adding a bar to the back of the shower wall. It was a pleasure dealing with Vacations in Paris. You really made the whole process of renting an apartment in Paris so easy. We would definitely recommend your company and use it again should the occasion arise.

Comments:Didn't realize there was only one toilet. Did not notice the (no WC) I was dissappointed. I did not find the apartment to be clean enough, the rug in the master is not clean. It would have been nice to have been provided more toilet paper. 1 1/2 rolls is just not nice...
Loved the location and the restaurant recommendations.

Comments:The shower in the small bathroom was very small but had to be used the most due to the configuration of the other bathtub and bathroom. The shower curtain was moldy and not very clean and the shower got stopped up. I would suggest glass enclosures for both showers so both could be utilized more effectively.
The location was fabulous. I would warn people about renting the apartment if it was going to be warm in Paris. Being on the 4th Floor and its location it was warm at night unless we left all windows and doors open, since there is no Air conditioning.
All in all nice location and it fit our needs. I would recommend this aprtment with caveats. It was great working with your office. Everything was very well organized and things happened when you said they would very efficient. Ii would definitely use your service again.

Comments:Location, cleanliness, ambiance (balcony), building manager (Paula) were great. Owners proved a very detailed and informative welcome book (transportation, local grocery, shopping, sites etc) that really made our stay hassle free. Limited number of light fixtures and many burned out bulbs. Washing/drying clothes limited to day time was an inconvenience.
Directions on getting into apt building upon arrival were unclear - need to press button on top of code pad, enter code, hold fob to fob reader. Only had one set of keys, two sets would be much better so our group could split up at times. Overall a very fun experience. You have a very wonderful company to work with and a very helpful staff.

Comments:We were advised and it was empahasised that we not make noise after 8:30pm or wash after that time. The floors were thin and creaky, so it was pretty hard not to make any noise. We also had two children with us and it was difficult to keep them quiet.

Comments:We liked the apt very much and would stay again. That being said, the veneer on the kitchen counter was badly torn, the light by the bed was broken, and only one shower could be used at a time if you wished hot water. The apartment is really more like a 5th floor apt as there are nine flights of stairs. We were afraid to use the elevator since if you block the doors inadvertently the elevator will stop and you must wait for a service man to free you.
We think older people might want to know about the number of steps.
We loved the location and the neighborhood. The grocery store and pastry shop nearby were great. The apt is small but was great for our family of five with 1 preteen , and two teenage boys . We realize that by american standards all but the most luxurious paris apts would be considered small. We felt like we got to experience what it would be like to
be living in Paris and not just visiting.
We will recommend VIP to our friends and already have. I really like getting the key in advance and being able to ask questions to the VIP staff. They were always very pleasant.

Comments:We had a great time. Neighbors upstairs were a little noisy at various times but not a big deal. We really appreciated the great service from the New Jersey office. Very effective and thorough communications and follow up! A few things in the apt. were not working (some lights) and it was a bit musty (maybe it hadn't been used in awhile). The overall experience was wonderful despite little things.

Comments:The apartment was lovely, beautifully decorated and in a very good location. However the second bedroom could not be made totally private as it had a curtain on the window leading out to the lounge room that could not be totally closed and that was partially see through. While there were two bathrooms there was only one shower and one toilet which was a little awkward with six of us.

Comments:Overall, we were delighted with the apartment. It was as good-looking as in the pictures and the location was superb; very quiet yet close to everything. We visited by the housekeeper on the first night and she helped us with the fold out bed and tried to help us with the computer.
A couple of things we noticed were: the sliding door between the bedroom and the bathroom got stuck in the closed position. The housekeeper was able to open it (seemed liked she was familiar with this situation) but had to use some force.
A few more towel hooks in the bathroom with the toilet would be helpful. Not exactly sure where to put them.
It would be a nice touch to have extra toilet paper and washing powder for the guests.
I recognize that the wall paint was not to be scrubbed but did think that the white woodwork in areas around the handles etc. should be washed down as they were dirty.
What we also really appreciated in the apartment was the North American calling, the information on local shopping, the washing machine and the internet.
We hope to be back I have already told half a dozen people about Vacation in Paris. I even told some American tourists we met in Paris. I think the rates are very good. This is the first time we have used VIP but will be sure to use them again. I hope you are thinking about operating in other major cities.

Comments:My only critism of the apartment was that the neighborhood restaurants were a little expensive but we found the wonderful market down the street from the information in the apartment and had many fine meals from there. It was great to have a kitchen. It was remarkably easy to use your company, I was surprised. I thought it would be much more complicated. I will recommend your company to anyone I know traveling to France. 1000% better than a hotel. We had a great vacation. Thanks.
