Comments:Superb location. Gets noisy at night, particularly on weekends as the apartment is above a bar. Bathroom (especially the sink) is quite small. Bed was roomy and comfortable. Super for 1 person but could be cramped for two.

Comments:We enjoyed our stay in #19 and found the Latin Quarter to be very convenient for sightseeing. We appreciated the electric coffee maker and microwave oven in the kitchen. The light next to the chairs could be brighter for reading, but overall we were very pleased with the apartment. There was some outside noise during happy hour, but it wasn't a problem when we were sleeping. The notebook in the apartment was very helpful and the library of travel books on Paris was appreciated. I thought your website was very informative and user friendly. I will recommend your rental service to others.

Comments:We had a marvelous time in paris staying in the Latin Quartier. It was very easy to navigate around the city for sight seeing from this apartment, and the apartment itself was everything as advertised and we had nothing but great service from VIP when arr We only had 2 towels. As we stayed a week it would have been nice to have had just 2 more but that is absolutely all I can fault!

Comments:The property manager was quite helpful. The apartment heated up quickly which was appreciated since it was so cold in Paris in April and May. We enjoyed looking out on the streets below and also enjoyed being in a student area. It was noisy living over a cafe, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.

Comments:If I listed "good" for some of the categories, it's only because these items conform to these expectations. I should note that this is the 3rd time I've stayed in this property and I like it hugely. I was sorry it wasn't available for my next stay. For example, the kitchen didn't need to be "excellent", its being good was just fine! And I think if there was a "very good" category I would have checked those boxes instead. Finally yes there's lots of noise from outside and sometimes it's a little much but again, overall, it goies with the charm of the place and the neighborhood. As I say, I keep choosing this same rental! Thanks for everything you and your team of owner renters do! I have come to depend completely on Vacations in Paris and look forward to discovering a new property on my next visit (starting on the 19th).

Comments:Hello, I didn't check the Noise question as it occasionally was noisy but we knew that would be the case as we booked a place in the area of the Sorbonne and there is a great little bar downstairs from the apt. We love this little apt and this area of the city. Since we last rented this apt in 2008 the furnishing/ bedding etc have been updated and for the better (they got rid of lots of the little knick knacks which weren't necessary anyway!!) We left a note re: the lighting in the kitchen - either we never quite got the switches figured out or they were in need of replacement. Also a note in the apt Info binder re: the heating system might be helpful too - I just kept pushing buttons and turning knobs until the heat came on! All in all a comfortable apt. Talk to you next time we go to Paris!!

Comments:One set of linens and towels for an eight day stay was not satisfactory. I change my underwear everyday and expect to have towels to complement the hygiene routine. The owner had additional sets in the closet, but had notes that they were for the next I left messages for the owner regarding the phone and never heard back from him. I was in Paris during Hurricane Sandy and was concerned about my house in New Jersey. I bought several phone cards and had to run down the street to use the pay phone. Wh

Comments:There is no electrical outlet to plug in a hair blower near a mirror. You have to plug it into an outlet where there is no mirror and can't see what you are doing. Very inconvenient. Better soundproofing on the streetside window would be appreciated as the kids walking down Rue de carmes in the middle of the night are very very noisy. They have gotten much worse. But i like the place and would rent it again.

Comments:We stayed four nights so the two bath towels and one hand towel were ok for us. However some renters may choose to bring additional towels. I checked yes for too much noise outside the building because it might be troublesome for some people. When we arrived the stairway was dark. It was rather "spooky" climbing up the dark stairs to find the apartment. There is a switch to turn on the lights close to the front door which we weren't aware of until the last day.

Comments:I gave grades of "fair" or "acceptable" to certain things, but said that the overall value of hte unit for the money spent was "good." The apartment itself is nothign special, it is small, especially the shower, but you are in the heart of hte latin quarter in paris, and quite frankly, we didn't come there to sit in our unit. The location was magnificent, the apartment was clean and met our expectations. One comment I would have is to add something to the information packet regarding the fare police for the trains. We had no idea that we had to hold onto our tickets after boarding the trains, and ended up having to shell out 45EUR to the fare police. It frightened my wife since she thought at first they were trying to scam us. If we had just known we needed to hold onto it we wouldn't have encountered that problem. Otherwise though, the information received was great. See the comment above regarding information for the trains.

Comments:The location of the apartment was excellent. The bathroom was very small which was okay, but the shower doors did not work properly and the shower was very small (had mold), the linens were very old (some with strings) and we couldn't find an outlet in the bathroom and ran out of hot water very fast. Space was a challenge with the futon open. Next time, we will use your company again (excellent service) but will look for a larger apartment in the same area. I think this apartment could be much better with a little work. Paris was awesome. We appreciated the timely, detailed information you sent us prior to the trip. In the information package for the apartment, it would be great if you could add the location of the apartment trash can. We took out the trash but wasn't sure where to put it. The trash can was kept in a closet at the bottom of the stairwell.

Comments:Regarding noise from outside the apartment, there was quite a lot in the evening (fairly late on Friday and Saturday) from people sitting outside at the brasserie/bar next to the building. This was a great little apartment, nothing fancy but it fit our needs and budget very well. The location was great, and there were plenty of nearby shops for whatever one would need. Many thanks!

Comments:Aside from its wonderful location in a beautiful neighborhood, the apartment itself was comfortable. Coming back to the apartment after a long day of sightseeing and walking around the city, I felt completely at home. It seems that the manager/owner truly wanted us to enjoy our stay in Paris with the complimentary bottle of wine, which we enjoyed while watching the sunset just under the Eiffel Tower. An amazing home away from home in one of the most beautiful cities on the planet, indeed. This is a truly fantastic apartment! The lack of an elevator and steep stairs were a bit annoying, but the room completely made up for that. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, even the pull-out bed was very comfy to sleep on! I would definitely stay here again.

Comments:There was noise from the ZigZag, sometimes until quite late, and this might bother some people but the crowd was never rowdy, and we didn't mind. The stool acted as though it was partly plugged at time, although it always flushed. We did not see a plung Some comments in the log book suggested that some have had trouble closing the door without noise. We learned to hold the latch open with the key while closing the door, which solved the problem.

Comments:Super clean apartment. Comfortable bed! Outside noise muffled by closed windows. In summer would probably be very noisy with windows open and people sitting outside of the cafe below. TV remote needs new battery; clock on shelf needs new battery; lamp on table by chairs needs new bulb; need to fix lightswitch in entry at ground floor. Didn't have lights on when navigating up stairs at night. Found VIP in somone's posting on TripAdvisor.com. I will put a positive plug in my TripAdvisor about my experience with VIP. Comments:This is my second stay at this apartment. My only real complaint is that TV really does not work well at all-and the only english chanels are CNN, BBC and France 24-all news. It would be nice to sometimes get more than just basic cable. Also, the students that hang out at cafe downstairs seemed to be much more noisy this trip, perhaps because of the strikes and it did affect my ability to sleep. Other than that, its a small but wonderful apartment in an excellent location.

Comments:This flat would be fine for some people and I'd recommend it to those looking for "value" above everthing else and who aren't too sensitive to noise from a cafe directly below. It's certainly a great neighborhood with Mutualite Metro 2 blocs below and in easy walking distance to much else in Latin Quarter. But it's also very cramped even for a studio and charmless.
