Comments:We really enjoyed our stay in Paris, and to a large degree it was because of this apartment. The location couldn't be beat, and it was a great choice for my family -- my children enjoyed being so close the Tuilleries, and we were all very comfortable. We had some noise one night only, not enough to worry about. We had our own iPad for the kids to watch movies, and the wireless service was great. Even though the kitchen was minimal, we were able to cook dinner at home the majority of evenings that we were there, which also made our stay easier (with the kids). However, there were many restaurants around, so no lack of choices. I would highly recommend this property and company. Should we go to Paris again, we will rely on Vacations in Paris to find our rental.

Comments:Renting through Vacation in Paris was very simple. The ability to use PayPal was ideal. We received the keys 2 weeks before our trip. After returning the keys the deposit was returned within 7 days. Definitely would use Vacation in Paris again and rent the same apt. For us the apartment was in an ideal location in that it was close to major attraction and museums.

Comments:I might recommend this property based on location. In the check-out instructions, it said to take out the garbage, but we had no idea where to put it. There were no obvious bins outside. This information should be provided so that guests will know where to place garbage on checkout. (Since this was on such a fancy street, it was clearly not outside by the sidewalk and there must have been a place somewhere in the enclosed courtyard, but since there were businesses there, we could not tell).

Comments:We had a wonderful stay and loved Paris. The WC did not have soap in it, which we easily supplied. Thicker towels would have been nice, but not a big deal. When we arrived after 6pm the unit was still being cleaned. We dropped our bags and went to the grocery store to get a few supplies, and the cleaning was done when we got back. Enjoyed the bottle of wine - thank you. The departure instructions said to take out the garbage, but we didn't know where to take it so just consolidated it into one bag and left in entry area of unit. Instructions on where to take it would have been helpful, especially if we had had more garbage accumulate. Would have liked more suggestions on places close to the unit to eat at, for all meal types (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, deli) and price ranges. Overall we enjoyed the unit very much and would not be opposed to using again.

Comments:very pleasurable experience with the VIP staff over the phone and via email. the reason i chose to book with vip was the honesty regarding the high volume of noise outside the bedroom of our first choice apt.(in the marais area) i then gave vip details of our family and what we were looking to do in paris with the dates we would be there and we were then sent a list of available apts. i was not even looking in the area of apt #146 but would defenately choose that area again. there was a lovely bakery beside the street entrance which was very convenient for picking up any pastries in the morning. the 4th floor location was fine for our family but i could see it being a potential problem to navigate the staris with luggage for certain others. the apt was very clean and nicely furnished. the location was excellent we felt very safe and comfortable, it made out vacation in paris perfect. thank you. Comments:Rate the bathroom as Acceptable simply given the size and split of the washroom. Obviously structural in the unit so not something that could reasonably be changed. Agree with review comments you have published for the unit. Would not recommend the patisserie/cafe on ground floor of the building to anyone and a warning should be provided to tenants given the outrageous price charged in comparison to every other place we ate at in Paris and London over the past 2 weeks. Comments:One thing that would be good to have is 2 or 3 fans since there is no A/C. There was only one table fan so we cannot use both the beds plus it is not a rotating fan either. Suggestion is to have two or three table fans or one ceiling fan in the bed room and one table fan for living room would be good. Installing an A/C unit would be really nice since it was very hot when we were there. Also it will be good to mention the staircase is narrow and spiral staircase. It is tough to carry luggage. Also the guest book is pretty old some of the grocery stores listed there are not there any more. Having an updated guestbook with new restaurant and grocery store locations would be nice. Shyam Please mention to the renters that it is a narrow spiral staircase going up five (US) floors. Anyone with heavy luggage will have a tough time getting luggage up.

Comments:I found this appartment a bit too rustic, the toilet was very awkward with steep steps and narrow, i think there should be at least toilet paper and soap on arrival. when you just arrive from a long flight you dont want to have to be looking for a supermarket straight away for soap to wash your hands and more toilet paper. I found the bathroom too small as well. The kitchen should also have a clean dish sponge for each client, it is very cheap to do and would be more hygenic and appear cleaner too. The location is fantastic, but I prefer the previous appartment we had further up the road. this appartment is really only suited size wise for two people.

Your company was able to help us out and refund everything so thank you for taking care of it. Comments:We had a great stay, and felt that overall it was a fabulous value/location/etc. The Vacation in Paris staff was fantastic during the entire 9 months I dealt with them on the lead up--so easy, responsive and accommodating. Despite the towel, etc. issues we felt like we had stumbled on a fantastic find. The wine was a great touch, and we really felt taken care of on our lead-up to our stay. What an incredible location--we felt like royalty coming in and out of there every day.

Comments:A lovely stay! The apartment was cosy, clean and met our needs for our time in Paris. The only thing to note for other patrons who choose to stay in this flat in the winter is that the WC, which is separate from the bathroom, is not heated so it gets quite nippy to use the loo. So just brace yourself for the first morning sit!

Comments:Great location, very pleasant apartment with thoughtful touches like a good selection of guide books, dried flowers nicely placed etc. The Tuileries, the Louvre, Palais Royale and two metro stations all in very easy walking distance. The building is 18th century with an oval staircase and, by North American standards, the apartment is about a five storey climb. Entirely worth it but this may be a consideration if you find stairs difficult. The toilet and a small sink are in a separate room just inside the front door and the shower is in another small area off the bedroom. The internet connection was perfect (it could use a longer cable however that is a very minor quibble.) We were very impressed the detailed and accurate description of the apartment and by the very organized and helpful staff of Vacation in Paris.

Comments:Just some minor issues. The kitchen sink faucet is loose - needs repair. The fridge freezer needs to be defrosted. All of the doors need some oil because they squeak quite loudly. This was our second stay at a VIP apartment and we are very happy with the experience. The information you provide, the key handling, and the reservation process are all excellent. We highly recommend VIP to our friends and we look forward to booking again soon.

Comments:The noise varied but at times was quite loud - think it mainly came from the courtyard area but didn't get up to check because was often late at night. Better instructions in English for the use of the washing machine would be helpful. It was fantastic that there was a washing machine but took a bit of trial and error to find the best way to use it. As we don't drink alcohol, an alternative would have been nice.

We didn't receive a key prior to our departure which then meant we were no longer masters of our own destiny and were working to an imposed timeline, not a good start. 2. It's a fine line between character and lack of maintenance...... (secure those floor tiles!) 3. Wine a nice touch, but a couple more rolls of toilet paper and a clean dishcloth costs a whole lot less, and would be appreciated a whole lot more! (Salt and pepper surely not too much to ask for?) Clean out previous guests food stuffs from cupboards. 4. Lighten up on the tone of the instruction manual, just a wee bit Napoleonic in nature!. Never mind the noise the tenant might make, what about the bakery? Also update the instructions to mini markets etc. We had a brilliant time in Paris and the apartment was located brilliantly, but even the Romans do it better, as we found on our next stop!

Comments:The apartment is in a great location in the city but it is above a restaurant that makes noise all day long. You are asked to be courteous of your neighbors to not make too much noise unfortunately the neighbors are not as courteous. Part of city living is that you have a lot of close neighbors and it only takes one coming home at 3AM to keep you up during the night as we had happen a couple of evenings. Update the check-in info with the current wi-fi access info. The owner had made changes that are not reflected in the document emailed to me. The inventory in the binder does not match the items in the kitchen.

Comments:I just wish there were a few more kitchen items such as a strainer/colander for pasta and washing lettuce or fruit, and one more large bowl. The location was perfect: We walked through the Place de la Concorde and Jardins de Tuileries to the Louvre, and down the Champs-Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe. The apartment was charming yet comfortable: Old wood beamed ceilings, tile floors, modern shower, surprisingly good water pressure... I have already recommended it to my sister.

Comments:We LOVED the apartment, with its rustic beauty, and the location was PERFECT! The beds were fine. The main bed was comfy and great, but the couch bed, would separate (the cushions) at night and one person would end up in the middle of the hole. Otherwise the couch as a couch was quite comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the apartment and was worth every penny. Thank you. We did not use the washer/dryer, so we can't comment on that, but the tv worked fine and had both English and French channels. The washroom, shower, fridge and stove top were all fine. We found everything we needed at the local monoprix. Thank you again.

The bathroom was nicly done, but very small. It was a great location. These ammenities were part of the reason we chose the apartment so we were disappointed when they did not work.

Comments:We were delighted to find that the apartment was exactly as pictured and described. No surprises is a wonderful thing when traveling. A few small things needed attention and had been commented on by other visitors - the light in the lavatory was out and seemed to take an odd bulb; the directions for the television were incomprehensible, and as most others stated, we simply couldn't operate it. News and weather would have been nice. Another nice touch would be a map showing the nearest Monoprix, ATM, recommended restaurants, etc. We didn't have a laptop and this would have been great. I was extremely pleased with your services and have been recommending you to everyone who asks.

Comments:Bathroom light fixture has no light , pretty scary at night when U have to go , and go up three stairs in the dark. I slipped on 2 ocassions & hurt my knee ... not very good experience. No extra paper towels, toilet paper ( 1/8 of a roll was left) & kleenex had none,, ... having to go means restaurant napkins.. cute hey? We took the time to READ , a traveller's note book, that had been left there , on the table. Did you know of all the problems that other's had with the television....unbeleivable??? Actually in Europe, they don't have 1 remote, they have 2 but it's extremely complicated to change channels ..There's NO INSTRUCTIONS , other than reading the book to figure out everone's elese problem & how they solved them.. A lady even wrote ( I hope management reads my notes!!) obviously no one ever did & will ever, not even taking MY thoughts today for granted? The location was a 10/10.. EXCELLENThe stairs weren't cool to climb up with heavy luggage , besides that, feel free to give my name & e-mail for anyone planning to go there. I'll tell them how close we were to all the attractions & museums.. Over, very nice stay..Thank You

Comments:There needs to be a couple kitchen towels. there were no kitchen towels so you couldn't dry dishes or hand. the dryer/washer combo was a pain and couldn't really use it so we didn't have clean towels except for the day of arrival. The experience was lovely though. the location of the apartment was perfect and safe. the size was just right for us and we had a wonderful time in paris. the staff here in the US were helpful and friendly.

Comments:This was a lovely apartment in a GREAT location. Yes, there were a lot of stairs--but if I could handle them at 5 1/2 months pregnant, anyone can! The apartment is basic, but it had everything we needed. Plus, it was wonderful to be right upstairs from a bakery (fresh pastries in the morning) and a quick walk from several Monoprix. We did not have any problems with the shower leaking, either. Our only minor complaint was the noise from the courtyard--we were very quiet in the evenings, but the downstairs neighbors were a bit noisy! We had to keep the windows open to cool the apartment, and the noise carried. On the whole, however, the apartment was great, and we would use VIP (and maybe even this apartment) again in the future. Thanks so much for giving such clear and detailed information, responding to emails so quickly and thoroughly, and just being extremely helpful and communicative overall. We were referred to your service by some friends who'd used VIP in January, and though I was slightly wary about renting an apartment in Paris, everything went so smoothly. Comments:The location of this apartment could not be beat. Unfortunately, the furnishings, and especially the unpolished, rather rough floor, marred our experience. After coming in from the beauty of the street, the apartment itself was a bit spartan. We found it odd that we had to open the windows to let down the shades. The apartment's appearance would benefit from attractive shades on the inside, and also some art that did not include pieces of paper stuck into small frames. The basics, however, were covered. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets were of a good quality. The shower worked very well and there was plenty of hot water. The equipment in the kitchen was limited. We did not find a lid to the one small sauce pan. Other renters, who wrote notes in the guestbook, have asked for a toaster and a kettle, but none were supplied. Also, there was no information from the owner re the location of the waste and recycling bins. Luckily, I found that information supplied in the guestbook. However, future renters should not have to read through an entire guestbook to find this information. Additionally, while we were there, the lightbulb in the bathroom expired, and there were no replacement bulbs to be found in the apartment. We loved having the bakery at the bottom of the stairs. We did not hear any noise coming from it. While occassionally we could hear other tenants in the building, it was minimal and did not last long. Although I have indicated that we would rent the apartment again, it is only because of the location. We would first try to find another apartment that was a bit more cosseting. I really enjoyed working with your firm, and thought that everything said about the apartment was accurate. Your firm was very easy to work with, and I will gladly recommend you to anyone who wants to rent an apartment in Paris.
