Comments:There was no bottle of wine on arrival, however, we did book this apartment while we were away as we were informed that the original apartment we had booked and paid for May not be suitable due to nearby renovations being done. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to choose this apt again

Comments:Location was great. Very helpful information and library for guests. Very clear instructions. However in arranging the booking I got contradictory emails about the key. It was nice to get a personal note from the owner about their history of ownership.

Comments:The apartment couldn't have been better. The whole experience, from booking the spot, to directions in the welcome packet, the the well appointed kitchen was fantastic. I would recommend both the Marais location and Vacation In Paris to anyone. Thanks for making our vacation really great. The location was perfect. We will definitely rent with you again...soon, I hope.

Comments:Some of the maintenance was a bit lax. For example, three bulbs I the chandelier in the bedroom were burnt out. By the time we left, ALL were burnt out and we had to use flashlights! 5

Comments:Loved the location and the apartment overall, but the bed and the sofabed were so uncomfortable. Hands down the worst bed I've ever slept in, every morning we woke up sore. I would never stay again or recommend because of the beds.

Comments:Location couldn't be beat and I liked the apartment as my home base overall vs. a hotel room. Staying there was more challenging than I expected, though. Email communications with VIP prior to leaving were excellent. However, instructions sent were not accurate. No one at airport with my name for transport to apartment. Airport info booth had never heard of "Global Transfer Services." I ended up taking a taxi which was still cheaper than Global Transfer Services' online rate which I now know was highway robbery. The instructions indicated two keys to open door, there was only one, so the instructions about "the long key," and "the short key" were useless. Instructions in the apartment weren't thorough (microwave, bedroom TV, bathroom towel warmer) or were inaccurate (washing machine) and I never figured out how to use the phone (no instructions at all) which was a handicap. Noise in courtyard and building was tolerable, but since I was threatened with losing my security deposit if I was too noisy, I was surprised how noisy the neighbors were. Dust bunnies galore under the bed and couch. Kitchen area near sink was a little stinky. I cleaned the bathroom counter the day I arrived because it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Location (half a block from Place de Vosge) probably justified nightly rate, but the apartment itself was not worth approximately $300 per night as far as comfort and amenities (since the instructions weren't accurate or were non-existent for most). Based on what friends have told me, my apartment rental experience was typical for Europe so I chalk all the challenges up to learning experiences. I know that hotels are far from perfect, so I don't have any regrets. But now that I know that the appliances probably won't work (either because of challenging or no instructions), if I did this again, I'd go with a much less expensive rental.

Comments:The apartment and neighborhood were wonderful. Our only complaint was that the apartment does not really fit four people as represented becaue the pull out couch in the living room is very small and only fits one adult comfortably. That is the only reason we would not use the apartment again as a whole family. I would use it again for 1-3 persons. very nice and responsive service. We were very pleased.

Comments:Phenomenal apartment. The only problem is that the bed collapsed when we tried to move it a few inches. Apparently there is a support under the bed that holds up the boxspring and mattress and rests on the floor, and it got dislodged, causing the boxspring and mattress to fall to the floor. That was distressing! Other than that, the apartment is fabulous.

Comments:The kitchen was nominally clean, but the countertop was gritty. All the dishes and all the cabinets need a deep cleaning. Most of the dishes had to be washed before using them as they were sticky or streaked. They left us the wrong size sheets for our second set of sheets, and the local cleaning woman who brought the right sheets while we were gone, put the dirty sheets and towels in the washer, which tied up the washer for the rest of the day and forced me to put them through the dryer twice and then fold them. I didn't appreciate essentially washing and drying my own sheets and towels. I found the washer/dryer difficult to understand. The directions were fine, but I didn't know how full I could make it or how to deal with cold water wash. What cycle does the owner normally use? (The cleaning woman put the folded sheets and towels in the washer together, and they were still folded after the entire cycle - is that effective?) This apartment was much better than the pictures and had every possible convenience and then some. EXTREMELY comfortable in every way. We truly loved it and will never stay in a hotel again.
