Comments:This is our second stay in this apartment and we love it- it's a perfect location and very comfortable. The only two things I noticed this time are 1) there are only two wine glasses in the apartment that I saw, would be nice to have a couple more and 2) the wall above the shower looks like it's getting moldy and could probably use a coat of paint. We would definitely stay here again though, you all are so easy and great to work with and we absolutely love that we can get the keys before we get there. We've rented many apartments in Paris and it's always such a hassle arriving tired and then having to coordinate to meet someone to get the keys. Thanks, we'll be back!

Comments:The property appeared ready for us upon our morning arrival but no bottle of wine. That made us uncertain if we could stay or if we should leave our luggage and return after 1pm. We emailed the manager to let him know we had arrived and it seems that the cleaning staff forgot the wine. Not that the wine is so important itself--we weren't going to pop it open first thing in the morning--but more the symbol of welcome that it represents and an indicator that we are free to take a nap to revive ourselves after the overnight flight. This was our 4th time booking with VIP so as soon as we got thru the door we were expecting. The wine oversight was rectified the next day. Additionally, since the washer was awaiting a repair part, the manager offered to have our laundry sent out for us. We let him know that we hadn't intended to do laundry so that wasn't a problem for us. We appreciated the gesture however.

Comments:The queen bed was very comfortable. The mattress on the sofa bed was lumpy and not comfortable. The neighborhood was wonderful, and we enjoyed having so many windows viewing the street. With the windows closed, there was no noise, but I would not want to stay there in the summer when windows must be opened. Perhaps there should be more fans for the summer. Also, we had mice getting into any food left out. We quickly put all food away, and the Paris management immediately put out traps, but the mice were not caught. It is a city! I want you to know I am not going to publicly comment on the mouse issue as I've had them in my own homes - unfortunate but hard to avoid in the country or city.

We couldn't figure out how to make the towel warmer work but we left that message on the information sheet we were asked to fill out. Location great! Haven't stayed in the Marais before but it is one of our favorite locations in the city. I am leery of answering email from persons whose address I don't recognize. Should any prospective clients want to ask us questions please have them reference "Vacation in Paris" in the caption in addition to the property #. If enough time goes by the property # alone probably won't trigger the connection to our stay. Thanks. We have had the best experience with VIP and look forward to doing business with you again.

Comments:When we arrived, the apartment was very clean. The bottle of wine was such a lovely gesture! We really appreciated the manager leaving an extra set of keys for us so all three of us had a set. . While the square nearby was always lively and noisy at night, the windows were well insulated so when we closed them, we couldn't hear the noise. We appreciated the three fans that were .in the apartment and used them all. It would have been helpful to have a few more set of towels. Since this apartment didn't have a dryer, we didn't wash our towels because we needed them each day and they wouldn't have dried in time. Also the shower head kept shifting and the shower curtain was not effective, so the floor got wet whenever we showered. But otherwise, we really liked the counter space in the bathroom and having at least the washing machine helped. We loved the location of this apartment being so close to St. Paul's metro stop and lots of great shops- bakeries, fromageries, the monoprix for staples and of course the Atelier Chocolatier! The apartment was within walking distance to so many sites and within the Marais, there were so many good restaurants. We had a wonderful time and appreciate the service we received from VIP before and during our stay! The only reason we wouldn't stay at St. Catherine's again is that we would want to discover another Paris neighborhood. Also, it was a little small for three of us since our son slept on the pull couch in the living room each night and left the couch open because it was cumbersome to close it up each day. Otherwise, the apartment was very functional. I would definitely use your services again the next time we visit Paris. And yes, there will be a next time-- we just don't know when! Thanks for your quick replies to phone calls and emails when arranging our stay. You offer outstanding. Us toner service!

Comments:I have rented several apartments in Paris, and I think this is my favorite so far. I loved this apartment and would stay here again. The location is excellent. There's so much to see and do within walking distance that you hardly ever have to take the metro (which is very close when you do have to take it.) Even though it's near Place St. Catherine, the noise at night was not a problem. It was also rainy when I was there so there weren't that many people out in the evening, but I don't think it would be a problem even in nice weather. The place is quite roomy and is very light and bright with large windows that open onto the street. It should be noted that even though the bedroom is separate from the living room, there isn't a door, so it does lack some privacy in that regard. The bathroom is very large and the tub/shower combo was nice with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. When I got to the apartment, I noticed the white comforter on the bed in the photos was missing and there was only a thin blanket. I was a bit chilly the first night, and it took a bit of searching before I found the comforter in a bin way under the bed. I read in another review that someone had trouble with the lock, but VIPs instructions were easy to follow and I had no problems getting in. Just have to push the key in and turn. I can't wait to return to this apartment next year! I think it's time for the owners to get a new mattress on the bed. I have to say it was the most uncomfortable mattress I've slept on, very thin and lumpy. I can't imagine two people sleeping on it. Also, it was not an issue for me, but I didn't see any additional pillows for the sofa bed. (I would still rent the apartment again without a new mattress, but a new one would be nice.)

Comments:The only issue we had was ONE night only (out of 8) where the downstairs neighbor played music until 5am - not too loud, but loud enough to hear the bass. More than the music was the cigarette smoke coming from this apartment through the bedroom, made it difficult to sleep. I think the bathroom might need some fresh paint above the shower and a new shower curtain/rod. The curtain is quite long for the tub. The tub drain was slow - a strainer could help prevent clogs. Just suggestions and did not impair our visit! We loved staying here! The neighborhood and location were superb, and the apartment a very nice home base. We will definitely recommend this apartment and your service. And we hope to return and use your services again.

Comments:The apartment was excellent in every way...with two exceptions: 1)A high-pitch whine (something like a tea kettle whistle) came from somewhere in the bathroom off and on through out stay. It was annoying enough to keep me awake at night. I couldn't say where it came from: it seemed connected somehow to the plumbing, but not necessarily from within the apartment. 2) The lighting in the apartment was too dim to read by.

But I'm sure we just weren't following instructions correctly. And there was no guest log. Would have loved to read other's suggestions, and add some of our own.

Comments:The apartment was excellent. It was perfectly located right in the centre of the city just 2 minutes from the metro. The neighbourhood was very charming with lots of shops and supermarkets. I was pleasantly surprised at how helpful the staff were and how gracious they were...generally speaking. For France, that says something! What struck us most about the apartment was the layout. We had three different perspectives that we could see from the windows in the kitchen, bathroom and living room/bedroom. With the layout being in a horseshoe fashion around the stairwell, it gave the apartment a feeling of spaciousness. Very impressible property for the fee. We were very pleased with the apartment and the area was perfect. My brother and his family stayed at one of your apartments in the Marais too. We were able to meet and have dinner together at the apartments which made the entire Paris experience even more memorable. Our thanks for the service. My wife so loved the apartment that she has insisted we return in a few years. Being Japanese, she is not easily impressed with foreign accommodations. A high compliment indeed!

Comments:We were the there White Night and it was extremely loud until 1 a.m. with a very irritating soundtrack. If we didn't have an early flight the next day it would not have mattered. This is the second time i've stayed at this apt. I love the large size of the bathroom, but the toilet runs a long time and so it wakes up others if you have to use it in the middle of the night.

Comments:The only thing we could have used was an alarm clock. We should have brought one from home but failed to do so. I had my cell phone but it would have been nice to have an alarm clock on the premises to use. Everything else was superb and we had no complaints. It was noisy outside but we like the sounds of a city so it did not bother us at all. The bathroom was much better than I had expected. Shower was great. Lots of towels, etc. Also it was nice to have the phone available for reservations, etc. We are already wanting to go back!!!!

Comments:The apartment was the perfect size for two people and could accommodate two more if they wanted to sleep on the sofa bed. The kitchen was lovely and the bathroom clean and large. Having a washing machine was wonderful. My only complaint was that it was very hot in the apartment in June and there was no air conditioning but we kept the windows open at night and there were several large fans in the apartment. The neighborhood was perfect and a metro stop was close by. Several grocery stores were close by as well. There was noise at night from a cafe on the street down below the bedroom but it was not disturbing really. We loved the neighborhood as it wasn't as touristy and busy as other neighborhoods and yet we weren't very far from anything. We could easily walk to Notre Dame or catch the metro easily. I would recommend this apartment and Le Marais to anyone thinking about renting it. It was charming. The only real negative was the flights of stairs, which made it hard to get up to the apartment with several bags.

Comments:The location was fantastic and the apartment suited our needs in all manners! We appreciated the ample supply of linens and towels. It was also great to have an ensuite washer/drier. Areas for improvement: the fridge in the kitchen had an odd smell when we came in that wouldn't go away. As well it would have been nice to have a clean sponge in the kitchen to wash our dishes with. We purchased new ones.

Comments:Lovely apartment in a great location. Nice touch to have guide books available in the apartment - we especially enjoyed the walking tours guide. Very clean, tidy, well equipped. Very minor cavil: lighting a little dim - use brighter bulbs in the bed reading lights perhaps? We found the fold-out couch difficult to refold - you might like to include instructions in the booklet. Also, instructions for the dishwasher, which we couldn't get to operate at all. It was a little noisy with the windows open, but as the weather was fairly cool this wasn't a problem - could be in hotter months though. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to use the same apartment again at a future time. We will certainly be recommending it (and your company) to friends.

Comments:This apartment is wonderful. It's the second time we've stayed in 4 years and it was still in as great of shape as the first time. Spacious, excellent location, close to everything we wanted to see. The low mark on the bathroom is only due to the shower curtain - it was very mouldy along the side and bottom and the tile grout could use a good scrub. Both issues easily fixed (and I would receommend sending a note to the cleaning crew if you would). thanks!

Comments:This is a beautiful apartment; far more spacious than I'd anticipated and very well located. The Metro stop is close by providing easy access to all parts of the city and Marais shops and restaurants are steps away, as is the lovely Place St. Catherine. The apartment's exposed beams add charm, the bed was comfortable and kitchen and bathroom are large by European standards, with lots of counter space in each. The kitchen is also well equipped with most every appliance one could need. Now for the problem areas. The furniture in the living room is sorely in need of updating. The small loveseat/sleeper sofa is dingy and uncomfortable for seating purposes. The only armchair in the room is broken and un-useable. As these are the only two major pieces of furniture in the room (besides an attractive coffee table) this otherwise very pleasant space is uncomfortable and virtually useless. When we had guests there was literally no place for them to sit down (except for a couple straigt-backed dining chairs) and even when my husband and I were alone in the apartment, it was very difficult to relax comfortably in the living room. In the bathroom, the shower leaks onto the floor unless elaborate efforts are made to secure the thin shower curtain to the wall next to the showerhead. The heated towel rack didn't work while we were in residence and the toilet seat needs to either be re-secured to the base or replaced with a seat that fits the base properly (it slides off to one side when in use). In the kitchen, some equipment is in need of updating as well. The cutting board is broken in two, the dishrack is starting to come apart, and knives aren't sharp. Your staff there in New Jersey were terrific; efficient, helpful, long on follw-through, and a genuine pleasure to work with. Thanks for everything!

Comments:We liked the apartment, the kitchen, and the location very much. We enjoyed being in the Marais near the nice little square and its restaurants. The steep spiral staircase provided quite the workout at the end of the day. Everything was very clean and neat. In the living room, the leather chair needs repair or replacement. One piece was broken and screws were missing. The futon couch is uncomfortable for sitting.

But didn't matter because everything dried overnight anyway. * Noise: there was a LOT of noise outside coming from people partying in the square across the street. But we chalked it up to Paris and city-living, so didn't mind. Thus not TOO much. I filled out the feedback form that was inside the apartment, as well.

Comments:We had a great experience staying at the apartment. It was very conveniently located in Marais, close to the shops, sights and metro. It was also close enough for me to jog to the Notre Dame cathedral and back; that was a great run. The size of the apartment was just nice for the three of us (husband, 10 year old son and I), and we all agreed we would be very happy to stay there again when we next return to Paris. The one change we would like to see is for VIP to enable payment by credit card. In today's world, not having this capability is just an irritating inconvenience and cost that should not exist. Surely, VIP can build in this cost into the room rate and take the inconvenience out of the process, no? We fervently hope that credit card payment will be enabled before our next trip to Paris. Thanks for your attention. Overall, we had a really good experience. Keep up the good work!

Comments:We have rented many apartments in Europe and this was easily one of the best. Very clean, great location, good size. My only "complaint" is minor, I always wish that the kitchens were a bit better equipped. They seem to have just the absolute bare necessities and as a cook, I would appreciate a few more of what I consider basics. But that is a small quibble. Great service, everything went smoothly and apartment was exactly as advertised.

Comments:Pull out bed did not have any sheets and lighter blankets would be nice in warmer weather rather than just quilts. Quilts, at least one, was stained-kind of off putting. I do not know if it would be possible to have clean bed linens for each user but I would prefer that. Need light curtains under drapes so renters can have some privacy and still have windows open and some light coming in. We have generally used Marriotts before but tried the apartment because we wanted more room and we wanted to save some money by eating in...and because my husband snores! We really liked having the apartment even though the stairs are tough and we are hikers! We walked so much in Paris we actually lost weight on this vacation and that has only happened once before in Peru when the food was not so good! Great trip. Wish that you had apartments in Italy!

Comments:THANK YOU! Just a followup to let you know how much we enjoyed the apartment in Paris. The weather was perfect and the fan in the apartment kept things cool at night for sleep. One of the high points of unit 115 was the internet and phone access. I was able to keep up to date with my email and the phone was a nice addition for required calls. The 62 steps up the circular stairway was tough at times after a long day of walking the Paris sights. In fact that info should be included more prominitly in your ad for any older persons considering this rental. We had to leave one day early due to flying standby and the apartment was left as clean as we found it which was very clean except for a sticky kitchen floor from a previous renter. We did not open the fold out couch bed at all. No items were broken of course and we left more supplies than we found. Mr Ranasinghe sent his assistant to meet us with keys at apartment upon our arrival. Keys left on table per instructions. We will consider renting from you again.

Comments:This was a great experience, and a perfectly good apartment. With the rate (about 200$/night), we were able to save money that we could use on shopping, dinners, etc. The location is wonderful, with the Marais being convenient, close to anything that one could need. Despite the proximity to many shops and restaurants, the apartment was quite quiet, which is an added bonus. The mattress of the bed could be nicer, but I have no other complaints about the apartment itself. Overall, a great rental property and certainly one that I would recommend.

Comments:It was a little noisy some nights with people partying outside. Street noise form traffic was not a problem. The TV and multiple remotes were hard to figure out. Free phone to the US was nice. The location was great. The stairway made it difficult to get large suitcases up to the apt. The taxi service back to the airport based on the company you recommended was great. It was nice to be able to speak English with the person when making the reservation

Comments:There was a lot of noise outside due to the proximity to the square (St. Catherine) but it was tolerable. we had the windows open all night because of the great weather and the fans in the apartment helped mask some of the noise. Noise usually ended by midnight. Morning was noisy from the trash collectors. we were all tired so we slept through the noise. Apartment was great. location was great. if someone wants quiet or likes to go to bed early then the noise may be bothersome. i would love to go back and stay longer!

Comments:The apartment is a wonderful place to stay and the location could not be better. The size was perfect for myself and 3 children. The sofa/bed was not the most comfortable bed and is not the one on the photos used for the apartment description. It was OK for 2 kids to use, but I think an adult would have a harder night's sleep on it. The bathroom was clean and bright as was the kitchen. A little more dusting could have been used under the furniture. Otherwise, a perfect place. We'd definitely return. The bottle of wine was a very nice touch. There were also plenty of left-over Paris guide books in the apartment which I enjoyed flipping through. Thank you for providing a wonderful apartment and at a good price. I have been to Paris many times, but for my kids, this was a great introduction. Thank you!
