Comments:While I said no on recommending the apartment, I would recommend it with explanation. The apartment is very cold. The space heaters do not warm it enough for someone who wants the space to be especially warm. It was fine for me, but I would make potential renters aware. Additionally, the bathroom is perhaps the tightest squeeze I have experienced in Paris apartment rentals!

Comments:The toilet had had issues previously and basically never fully flushed. The stairs stunk - again as had been noted previously. At the end of the day - location location location! Could have done with more towels as no heated towel rail for them to dry on. Handling of the key delivery was flexible and well handeled.

Comments:It would have been nice to know that this apartment is located directly across from a primary school and therefore was very noisy every weekday morning at 7 a.m. and again at the end of the school day. As a first experience renting an apartment, I appreciated the location and convenience of this apartment. I believe it is a better value than a hotel room.

Comments:There was construction going on in the property right across the street, which meant for some very loud early mornings during the week. Other than that, we enjoyed the property immensely, and would certainly return! Two different phone number for the property itself were listed, one in the "WebDocs" package sent right before we left, and another on a hand-written piece of paper left near the visitor log in the property itself. However, neither phone number seemed to be correct, because anyone we had left both numbers with was unable to reach us.

Comments:Thank you! I was very pleased with apt location and neighborhood. Being close to metro is the main advantage, same as close to Le Tambour. Enjoyed local dishes very much and conversation with Parisiens living in the neighborhood. The appt has personality, besides history, etc. I loved the stone walls in the bedroom. I slept on the bunk bed, to leave the bedroom to my sister and her husband, and to my surprise was very comfortable. Same liked the linen and cleanness, no smells. Very good, I will recommend to my friends and I will use it again someday. Thank you again! Yes....one of reasons I selected this appt was the wifi, as I am addicted to my iphone. Sorry it did not work. The code was handwritten and I tries many times, getting frustrated unnecessary. At least, if I knew is not working from the beginning, but the hand written note, said: if you can not use wifi code, just plug in your laptop...suggest to check and ifnrom the customers upfront that wifi is not working. I was very disapointed. But this was all, probably for your regular customers it does not matter, for me it was promised and expected.

Comments:The best thing about the apartment was the location. The bottle of wine was a nice touch, however welcome bag would be better. The Welcome bag would consist of a tiolet paper, paper towles, soap, little bottles of shampoo, maybe some tea and coffe and also local map would be a great addition to the package. The bathroom needs a good cleaning. The apartment does not have any frills but is comfortable and serves the purpose. We love everything about Paris and Parisian people, we had a great time and thank you for a wonderful vacation. Your part in our vacation was great!

Comments:WE HAD A LOVELY TIME -- THE APARTMENT COULD USE SOME UPGRADES -- MORE THAN 2 TOWELS WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE -- AS WELL AS TISSUES AND SOAP. THE LOCATION WAS FANTASTIC. THE NOISE WAS FROM A SCHOOL DOWN THE STREET -- NOT TOO BAD REALLY. THE PLACE GREW ON US AS THE DAYS WENT BY. THE OWNER'S DIRECTIONS FOR USING THE TV AND INTERNET WERE A LITTLE FUZZY BUT WE FIGURED IT OUT! I THINK THAT THE APARTMENT WAS VERY GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY -- NEXT TIME WE WOULD UPGRADE TO A MORE MODERN PLACE. WE WOULD DEFINITELY USE VACATION IN PARIS AGAIN FOR FUTURE TRIPS!

Comments:The wine was excellent. The apartment was perfect for us, a family of 2 adults & 2 children (14 & 12). We enjoyed that there was history attached to the apartment and noted Mme du Barry's contibution to the Palace of Versailles

Comments:This is a GREAT VALUE for an apartment in Paris! It is not a luxury apartment, as some previous clients have complained, but you won't find a better place for 3-4 people (better for 2 or 3 people) for the price! The location is wonderful!! The apartment is charming, historic, and very convenient! There is quite a bit of street noise so light sleepers should look elsewhere. The kitchen is tiny, more like a kitchenette, but perfect for bringing back take-out food from the markets or delis. The furnishings and linens are basic but adequate. The red leather sofa and the 1 Ikea type chair are comfortable, but another comfortable chair would be really nice. A coffee table would be nice too. There were only 2 sets of towels when we arrived so we needed to call the local number in France to get more towels. They were told only 2 people were arriving. The bottle of wine is a nice touch. I would definitely use the apartment again and recommend it to a friend. We were very pleased with the apartment. The information/pictures on the web site was very accurate. We liked getting the keys before we left on vacation. The information, maps and directions were very helpful and informative. VIP was very easy to use. There was a mix-up on number of people arriving and towels, but that wasn't a major issue. Luckily you provided a couple numbers to call.

Comments:Given the price and rating of the apartment, we were not disappointed. It was a very good value! The location was fabulous! If we rented this apartment again, it would be because of the location. In the future, I would prefer a nicer apartment in the same area. I am very impressed with "Vacation In Paris" and will definitely rent from you the next time we visit Paris. It was very helpful and reassuring that I was able to speak with an agent here in the USA who was very well informed as to the different districts, locations of apartment, and Paris in general.

Comments:The apartment location was fabulous- quick walk to the Louvre, L'Opera and a number of metro stops; even Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower are walkable- with kids! It's technically in 2nd Ar but the 1st is about 30 yards away. The pedestrian only street was quiet for the most part- the bar (written up in more than a few guidebooks- excellent food) at the end of the block gets a bit rowdy and stays rowdy pretty late on the weekend (as it was warm enough for them to be outdoors). The apartment itself is equipped in what we referred to as a "rustic Cape rental" with older tableware and some charming older furnishings. But seriously, YOU ARE IN PARIS. If you wanted to stay in the room, you went to the wrong place. Great space for the money. Quirky in a way that most non-luxury apartments in any metropolitan area are. Would be a bit tight with more than two adults as the bed in the main room is a double (read cozy). Single with trundle was nicely sized but made getting to the loo a bit tight when it was pulled out. Vacation in Paris staff was wonderful to work with and very helpful regarding location and amenities of apartments. They quickly put together a rental for us when we were left stranded by a rent-by-owner site (who found a longer rental than ours and cancelled a month before the trip- don't EVER deal with www.beau-paris.com). Great to have the keys in hand before the trip and the insurance policy/security deposit is a great concept (even though we didn't need it). Also great to pay in USD without needing to worry about exchange rates or conversion fees. Very helpful directions and apartment basics. Could have used a bit more specific directions on how to make calls to the US. We were never able to get a call out.

Comments:The kitchen was like a closet and the bathroom was small. Also I thought it was a first floor, but it was actually up a narrow twisty staircase. The owner had left some information warning renters about not opening a locked closet or you would be punished. Odd. The neighborhood is awesome!!! I have rented before and the apartment I rented before was far superior.....

Comments:1) 4 of the 7 nights btwn 2:00-3:00 a.m., men decided to chat, laugh, etc under the window; 2) instructions said to empty trash/garbage, but no info given as to WHERE; 3) the location of the apartment truly is within walking distance of 85% of what I wanted to do; 4) the stairs to the apt are winding and narrow, without a handrail all the way up. It could be a real safety hazard for some; in fact, I took my shoes off to carry my bag both up to and down from the apt. As a repeat customer I will continue to recommend your services to anyone who will listen. Your USA staff is exceptional: prompt, friendly and professional.

Comments:I would give almost perfect scores for everything, except for some very small glitches that did not affect our enjoyment of the apartment. Noise was generally not a problem, but there were some incidents involving groups of teens and an early a.m. drunk w Minor maintenance items: one of the three window shutters was broken when we arrived. (The cord that raises and lowers it was tied to the railing.) The toilet seems to have a small internal leak. The shower door has come loose at the bottom track, although

Comments:The apartment location was great, and it was warm and comfortable. However, there are a number of items I would like to draw your attention to: .There is no seaplane logo at the door .The restaurant on the corner is now called Le Tambour .Only 1 shutter was fully operational-we managed to use the others with difficulty as it would have been very cave-like without being able to raise them .Only one reading lamp worked .The toilet ran continually-once the cistern filled it ran out again. We had to turn the inlet tap off between uses, as the noise of running water was loud and annoying .Much of the bedding smelt very dusty .The towels in the bathroom, whilst generous in number, were somewhat small and thin We all had a great time, and thoroughly enjoyed our 3rd stay in a Vacations In Paris Apartment. We were there during a particularly cold week, and at no time felt that the bedding or heating was inadequate. I have no complaints, and point out the above only because I feel they are mostly minor maintenance issues that are easily dealt with. I will be sending the keys tomorrow. Thanks again.Catherine Large
