If you’re looking for the perfect escape away from tourists in a lively but authentic Parisian neighborhood, you’ve found it here. Everything you could want or need is just steps away – cafés, brasseries, a bakery, Tabac, movie theater, shopping, and three Carrefours nearby. There’s a bike rental just outside your door, and it’s just a 1-minute walk to the Alésia Metro on Line 4, whisking you to anywhere in the city easily.
As you enter the Haussman-style building from 1900, you’ll have five flights of stairs, but your greeter would be happy to assist with your luggage upon arrival for a small fee. We’d like to turn that possible negative into three positives – you can eat pastries galore without any guilt, there’s a balcony with rooftop views, and A/C! As you step through the front door, you’ll be in the entry hall. Walk to the right and you’ll enter into the living room and kitchen. You’ll be greeted with two tall windows, both that lead to your balcony, that flood the room with lots of natural sunlight. Original parquet floors, freshly painted walls, unique lighting fixtures and long, elegant curtains tie the room together nicely. There’s a comfortable sofa to watch TV or relax after a long day, as well as a vinyl record player and an assortment of albums to choose from. You'll also find an array of original artwork and antiques. And the first of three split A/C units to ensure you stay cool during the warm weather. There’s a desk located between the two windows in case you need to get some work done, or maybe write out some postcards for friends and family. Access the balcony from one of the two doors and be met with rooftop views that run the entire length of the apartment.
Next is the fully-equipped kitchen that shares a partial wall with the living room and parquet floor. Here’s you’ll find an assortment of stainless appliances that include a large American sized refrigerator/freezer, an oven, dishwasher, microwave and stove top. White cabinetry, stainless hardware, plenty of butcherblock counter space to prepare meals, white tiled backsplash and a green accent wall give this room a nice pop of color. Have a meal at the bistro table, or even better, out on the balcony where you can find a café table and two chairs. Dining with a view…
To the left of the entry, you’ll find the master and second bedroom, both with A/C units, bathroom and WC. The parquet floor carries through to the master bedroom where there’s a large window that opens to a pretty courtyard, perfect to ensure restful sleep. A queen bed, decorative fireplace and soft blue paint make the space feel serene and calm - you’ll wake up ready to start the day. There’s plenty of closet space to store your luggage and personal items. The second bedroom is perfect for a young adult or child with a twin bed. While on the smaller side, it’s also located on the courtyard to ensure a good night’s sleep.
The bathroom has a bit of a modern feel with a decorative tile floor, large vanity with plenty of storage for personal items, dual vessel sinks, mirror and recessed lighting. There’s a tiled backsplash that compliments the walk-in shower with a dual showerhead, washer/dryer combo and a nice size window offering natural light. Directly next to the bathroom is a separate WC, with complimentary decorative tile, and provides easy access for all.
This spacious and luminous home is located in a traditional Parisian neighborhood with everything that you’ll need nearby., including public transport. Not far from Villa d’Alésia filled with Art Deco homes and former ateliers, Montparnasse, Catacombs, Parc Montsouris, rue Daguerre and Jardin du Luxembourg. There's also the Marché aux puces de la Porte de Vanves, a massive flea market on Saturday's and Sunday's - the bus or tram drops you right at the market. Paris at your feet…
