Look out the living room window to the left and you can watch boats passing by or seagulls flying low over the water. You’ll see the riverbanks, where people sit on warm days. In the distance, Parisian rooftops and the Pantheon outline the sky making this a unique view. Apart from its beauty, this small island, in the center of Paris, is dotted with many specialty shops and restaurants, including the famed ice cream shop Berthillon which is just a block away. Centrally located, it’s a pleasant walk over the bridge to the Saint Michel metro or in the opposite direction to the Sully Morland metro.

This home is located in a handsome 19^th century building on the 2^nd European floor (3^rd US). As you enter, the small hallway leads to each room. It veers left towards a kitchen, the perfect size, opening out to the dining area, making the kitchen an enjoyable space to work in. It has everything you need to prepare an evening meal in or just a light breakfast in the morning.

Beyond the kitchen is the dining room with a cozy table which has seating for up to five guests. Herringbone parquet floors and eclectic decorations -- a mixture of contemporary artwork and pieces brought back from travels to the East -- offer a warm decor. The walls are painted in pale olive and the furniture is mostly of wood or tan colored. The muted natural colors adorning the space are easy on the eye.

Adjoining the dining room is a living room/den which can also be closed off to make a second bedroom. The day bed, also a trundle bed, can become two twins. A closet and large TV make the room comfortable for using as either a bedroom or den. When the sliding door is left open, the area is inclusive, creating a large space reaching to the kitchen and dining room in a right-angle shape.

The bedroom is located at the far end of the hallway, providing a queen bed and large closet with full-length mirrors. It includes a portable A/C unit to ensure a good night's rest, especially in the warmer months. The room is classical and luminous with a separate WC located near the bedroom in the hallway. 

The main bathroom is located across from the entrance and has been totally remodeled in a pebble motif. Pebbles on the floor of the shower provide an interesting texture against your feet. Included in the bathroom is a 2^nd WC, a large walk–in shower, a large modern basin as the sink, and a clothes washer and separate dryer. You even have a magnifying mirror and towel heater. The bathroom alone is three star for even the most demanding guest!
