Save time and money by purchasing  pre-paid passes to most of the  museums and the Paris transportation system.  These passes are available in Paris once you arrive but you'll have to spend extra time to get them and the cost is about the same (depends upon the exchange rate).  Buy the passes before you leave home and you'll have them when you arrive.
