Staying in an
apartment in Paris
instead of a Paris Hotel is the best way to experience the charming neighborhoods of this
lovely city. It will give you the opportunity to shop as the Parisians do in the local
bakeries for your morning breakfast, beautiful fruits and vegetables for snacks and
salads, and the occasional eat-in lunch or dinner which you can purchase already prepared
at the traiteur and charcutier.
Many Paris hotels charge for breakfast which consists of a croissant, bread with
jam and butter, and a hot beverage. If you buy your own you will enjoy a variety
of pastries such as croissant aux amandes, pain au chocolate or pain aux raisins
(almond croissant, croissant with chocolate or raisin pastry) at a fraction of
the cost of a hotel breakfast! Try the little cafes and brasseries for other
meals. The busiest ones are usually the best and most have outdoor seating even
in the winter.
Don’t let your limited French hold you back -a pleasant smile and a
merci will take you far in your shopping and dining adventures. True
you won’t have daily maid service in an apartment but, the privacy of
your own apartment and fun of discovering everyday life in your Paris
neighborhood will make it an experience to remember.
All
apartments are clean with fresh linens and a welcome bottle of wine for your
arrival. During your stay you may contact the apartment manager in the unlikely
event of a problem in the apartment. All our apartments are equipped with phone
service, cable/satellite TV, and kitchen facilities. Many have washing machines.
