This is the very heart of Paris, near Les Halles and the Pompidou museum and square, with several metro stops only a few minutes walk away. Chatelet even has the suburban RER trains calling, so it is a direct shot to/from the airports or Gare du Nord for the Euro Chunnel.

You will be within strolling distance of so many places to see, Notre Dame about 5 minutes, the two little islands in the Seine with all their cafes and shops only 10 minutes, the Louvre is only about 10 minutes away and just beyond is the Musee d'Orsay as well.

This is a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. The master bedroom has a queen size bed for 2 adults and has an 'en suite' bathroom of rose colored marble with both bath tub and a separate large shower. The WC is just 5 feet outside the bedroom in the hall. There is a window in the bedroom out to a small service area (back of building) with several large closets and features an ink painting from North Korea.

The second bedroom is located just off the living room area and is partitioned by 'Japanese style' sliding 'Shoji' doors, which open completely during day to make it a nice sitting area as well. There is a very comfortable European style sofa-pullout sleeper which measures 130 cm (51 inches) wide which is a little smaller than a standard double size bed (US = 54 inches wide). The full bathroom is also ‘en suite’ and has both a tub and shower combo (shower head affixed to wall), sink and WC.

The apartment is furnished with some upscale furniture, Roche Bobois sofas, Mies van de Rohe chairs and coffee table, original paintings, Travertine floors, and Oriental carpets. The open living room has a sofa and bench with cushions, which can also can be slept on, but these are only recommended for children or young adults as the sofa (not a pull-out, but rather just a normal couch) measures 60 cm (24 inches) wide by 185 cm (73 inches) long. A built-in bench has 2 cushions on it and is the same width as sofa but a little longer at 210 cm (82 inches) in length. A set of sheets will be provided for these if you request beforehand (must be made-up by guests directly).

The lovely dining room sits next to the large oversized windows that view out to the courtyard and provide a charming place to dine or just to sit and relax with a beverage. The kitchen is quite complete, with lots of counter space as well, see the list of amenities below. This is a grand old building, with huge wooden entry doors at street level and an inside staircase that has been declared a historical monument. On the first floor, (up one floor), there is an elevator as well. the apartment is on the backside, which means a very quiet atmosphere and stay for you.

Kitchen is a conventional French kitchen with older appliances and fully-equipped for gourmet cooking, and place settings for eight or more persons.

This is a large comfortable apartment where most guests will enjoy their stay and gets good reviews. But there are what some might a few worn areas which the photos may not show. Most notably the bathrooms and kitchen have older cabinets which are worn and while clean make look "tired" - some cracking or peeling of cabinet wood is apparent. The decorative marble and especially wall coverings in large bathroom are worn and sometimes do not stay in place. The white carpet in the large bedroom has some stains which can not be removed but it will be vacuumed well. Throughout the light colored marble floor is a stone and has many small natural openings which are black and can look dirty even though it has been cleaned. The large window shades are worn and do not function well, sometimes not going up or down. The large windows can only be cleaned by the building maintenance company and not our Team. The walls throughout are cleaned but do have some stains. There is some small areas of chipped or peeling paint.
