The apartment is on the 2^nd European floor (3^rd US) walk up, no elevator, just under the apartment where Ernest Hemingway lived with his wife Hadley, while writing his 1^st novel “The Sun Also Rises.” James Joyce lived across the street at the same time, while finishing “Ulysses.” Both writers knew each other, and spent time together in the neighborhood cafés. The French Renaissance writer François Rabelais named this area the Quartier Latin in the early 1500’s, after the students and the professors who spoke Latin in the classrooms and on the streets at that time.

Recently remodeled, no effort has been spared in provisioning a maximum of comfort and every modern convenience. The bedroom contains a queen size bed and the sleeper sofa in the living/dining area is of the highest quality, designed for daily use and extremely comfortable.

Large double glazed windows in the living room, kitchen and bedroom provide natural lighting throughout the day, as well as enchanting views of the history laden streets below. The separate modern kitchen is totally equipped, and dining for up to four people is provided in the dining area.

The living area contains a very high quality and comfortable leather sofa bed with adjacent closet space made available to all guests. A cable television and sound system has also been installed in this area, along with high speed Internet Wi-Fi with free phone service to the United States, Canada and Australia. And of course, free local service to landlines.

The large separate bedroom contains an American style queen size bed and for complete privacy, can be separated from the rest of the apartment.

The bathroom offers a large enclosed shower stall, washbasin, vanity with excellent lighting and a toilet and Italian tiling. Hardwood oak floors throughout and oriental carpets complete this charming Paris short tem rental. It is air-conditioned in the summer and well heated in the winter with closed circuit Swedish radiators.

This apartment requires a "Meet and Greet" - guests will be met at the apartment by the local manager and given the keys at that time.
