Just a short block form the famous Rodin Museum, which has many of his large sculptures like “The Thinker” out in the gorgeous extensive Gardens that surround his former Home now turned Museum… This is a super location, and a very handsome French Home, with quality furnishings.

This large one bedroom can sleep up to five and is very quiet and bright, with lots of open ‘blue-sky views’ out the two large living room windows. Period wooden floors, old exposed wooden ceiling beams, an original marble fireplace and original paintings grace the property, with original decorations and furnishings the property owners have lovingly chosen. This Paris short term rental is very comfortable and peaceful, with double paned windows and the bedroom on the inner courtyard side, which has rich wood paneling in a wainscoting style.

In the heart of the sumptuous 7^th district (arrondisement), you have most everything you need right on your same street and block! A small grocery store is just a few doors down and several excellent restaurants are also  a couple doors away. Excellent bakeries right on your street, and a great feature is the close metro stop Varenne, not more than a 4-minute walk away. You are a block from the whole Invalides War Museums/Gardens and Napoleon’s Tomb and the famous Rue Cler Farmer’s Market and shopping area is a 12-15 minute stroll away. In fact you will soon discover that this area is quite chic, with some very prominent addresses nearby, like well-known boutiques. You can see into the Garden’s of Rodin from your windows, and while it might be just the very tip-top 1% of the Eiffel Tower, sure enough it is visible from your living room!

The bedroom is very quiet and large, with a writing desk and good closet space. The double size bed has a new mattress (July 2011) and is a Murphy type bed, which anybody can pull-down and draw up with ease (it will be made with clean linens in the open position for your arrival). Other sleeping arrangements include a long sofa for a single adult and two futons which can be used for children or young adults on the floor of the living room (bedding provided of course). This is adequate for 3 adults and 2 youngsters, a total of 5 people. The kitchen is quite small, but amazingly has lots of appliances: a full size oven, a 4 burner stovetop, a microwave, a good size refrigerator/freezer (not under the counter type but larger), a dishwasher, and even a clothes washer-dryer for your use! The bathroom has a large sink, the WC, and a large bathtub with a handheld shower spray nozzle. Admittedly this will be quite ‘different’ for some people to shower with (not attached to the wall), but remember one does visit foreign countries to experience how the “locals do it”!  There is an original handsome large dining table for up to 5 people in the living room, as well as a writing desk. The gorgeous fireplace is decorative only. This apartment is on the fourth floor of a well-maintained building, with 2 security doors on ground floor. There is no elevator, but the stairs are not steep (very gentle low-rise steps).

As the main living room faces south-west, and the bedroom window faces east there is an abundant amount of light coming in both in the morning and afternoons. The 4th floor setting and double glaze windows ensure a tranquil and quiet place to come home to after each day’s touring.

Rodin would have enjoyed staying here we think, so no need for you to ‘sit and think’ or ponder this decision at all…. Come and stay in this great area and wonderful French Parisian Home!
