This is a large Paris apartment that sleeps up to five adults with the main queen size bed in a loft style raised platform which is open to the living room, and a small second bedroom for one person on an oversized twin bed. Tall windows look out to a small courtyard plus an open view, from a large living room area, which also has 2 day beds, which in the daytime may be used as sofas - each sleeps one adult.
Our best classification for this property is as a two bedroom. However, one of the two bedrooms is on the partially open loft in the living area. In the strictest sense of the word, this "bedroom" area may not be considered a room as the walls are less than one meter high and do not go from floor to ceiling.
Only a one minute walk away is the Odeon metro station, a central and ‘hip’ meeting place, giving the advantage of having transport so close to your door. It is impossible to count all the small cafes, bakeries, crepe stands and restaurants, plus pubs and bars in the immediate area… there are just too many!
This short term rental apartment is 57 m2 (610 ft2) and is on the 1st European floor (2nd US) via stairs, no elevator. While it has not been recently renovated, it offers exceptional value for price, especially considering the superb location!
Just try finding a hotel in this area for 4 people under $300 - in fact it would be closer to 400 EUROS and consider that 5 people here can sleep for just $64 PER PERSON/night! And do take note that the price in low season is only $215 for 4 people with separate bedrooms! The bathroom has a small bathtub with attached shower and the WC is in a separate room, convenient to all without crossing any room to access it. The kitchen is small, but fully equipped to cook or just reheat take away items from the many nearby delicatessens. One special feature of this apartment is the extra high ceilings which allow for the double sized bed loft above the living room and provides lots of open space. The living room has a dining table, which seats up to 5 and a coffee table in front of the two day beds. Note the few steps up to the loft bedroom area are very sturdy and stable.
We like this apartment for its great location and ample size living room and for the separate bedroom which is down a short internal hallway. Likewise, the high ceilings, tall windows and courtyard just off this busy street make it a prime choice. We do note that there is a children’s school adjacent and during their recess; never before 08:30am, the kids laughter and play can be heard on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays. The WC is apart from the bathroom and makes this apartment more practical for 5 people, and we feel this Paris rental apartment is a good value for money property - not luxury, but very comfortable and convenient for the vacation traveler.
While this great apartment is comfortable and all appliances are in good working order, it has not been recently renovated. There are some ‘worn areas’, mainly touch ups of paint needed and repolishing of the floors. Presently, the apartment is a bit 'sparse' in its decoration but the owner is improving on that. Do note the bathroom and kitchen cabinetry has been recently upgraded. We feel it is still a great value for reasonable price and great location.
As mentioned above, this apartment is slowly being ‘upgraded’. It is very large, comfortable and will always be clean. But it has not been renovated for a while and the paint on walls is in good shape, however the parquet floors are indeed a bit “rough” but do not squeak and of course comfortable to walk on, without any holes or ‘toe-stubbers’!! Half of the apartment has a polished cement floor, which is plain looking. The WC room is very much 60’s style with dark wallpaper and exotic looking chandelier lamp. The twin beds in salon when requested will be made up, and only need to remove the outer daycover on them. The 3 twin beds are not “high quality” but are comfortable and appropriate for adults or kids during a short stay.
