Thank goodness for elevators as you rise to the top of the six-story building and enjoy the open air view and large space of this wonderful flat! This is a large one bedroom apartment with separate bedroom and sofa pullout that sleeps up to 4 adults. It has several good size windows that look out over rooftops and allow in lots of light. The slight inward slanting of the southward facing wall (at top near ceiling) gives it a cozy feeling. This used to be several attic rooms (or chambres de bonnes) that were grouped together and livingly converted into a great living space.

This is a very central flat, close to transport like the St. Placide line 4 stop and is some of the best the left bank has to offer… while the right bank has the Galaries Lafayette stores near Opera, the Left bank competes all on its own with the well known and liked ‘le bon Marché’ … a fabulous large department store with everything you can dream of, plus incredible grocery shopping and in-store Café/restaurant as well. As a tourist, you still get the same 10% discount on all your purchases there, (make sure to take your passport and ask for this!). You are close enough to stroll to the Luxembourg Gardens or famed St. Sulpice church (adored by fans of the Da Vinci code book/movie!).

With a large double size bed and a large queen size sofa pullout four people can sleep here easily. The kitchen is small and opens out to the living room, and has just about everything you need to cook or simply re-heat take away items. There are a couple of high bar stools at the small counter in the kitchen, plus a wooden table with 4 chairs for dining as well. See below for kitchen amenities.

The bathroom is a ‘creative space’ as it was adapted into the main living space of the apartment. The door to access is just to the left of the kitchen (see pictures) and while the wall that surrounds the bathroom is over 7 feet high, there is an open space at the top (see pictures). Inside the bathroom there is a sink, plus a small bathtub with a ‘French style bath/shower’; there is only a hand-held nozzle, (it is not attached to the wall). The WC is separate for convenience and easy access by all.

The floor is the original parquet wood and adds lots of character to the place. Some very nice decorative pieces add lots of charm and beauty to this special home as well. Being on the last floor it is quiet with no loud street noise from below.

Come stay at the top, enjoy this nice apartment and maybe even use the stairs to walk off all or those great pastries and goodies you will surely be enjoying in Paris! (Or take the elevator…!).
