See a part of Paris most travelers have not
yet discovered and then see the usual monumental historical sights…
This is a grand apartment of 48 m2 (approx. 510 sq. ft.) which has
very tasteful quality furnishings – even a shiny piano! And of course
the feature of this place is the grand open view out to a ‘different’
type of monument, the world-renowned Père-Lachaise cemetery.

A
different view on Paris…
One doesn't usually associate a cemetery with a romantic
stroll-- but a visit to Père-Lachaise begs exactly that. You can
visit the sites of such notables as Chopin, Jim Morrison, Edith
Piaf, Proust, Oscar Wilde and we have heard tell that Cher has
already purchased her spot in this garden. This is arguably the most
beautiful and enchanting resting place in the World, so do stroll
its labyrinths and small alleys and take home the bragging rights of
visiting a place few people do…!
Your apartment is quite
close to a major metro stop, (the Père-Lachaise on lines 2 and 3)
which can take you directly to the Opera and Champs Elysees area. It
is only a 4-minute walk away. Your neighborhood near this metro stop
has several cafes and convenient grocery stores, bakeries, etc.
The bedroom features a king size bed,
with plenty of closet and drawer space. The bed is very high quality
and assures a comfortable sleep. The living room has a fold down
queen size sofa sleeper, for which the sheets and blankets are
provided. Large tall windows grace this beautiful home, (all
double-glazed for extra serenity) with exquisite decoration, all of
a romantic theme… Handsome original oak floors and specially chosen
deco furniture provides a very comfortable place and even has an
I-Pod docking station for you…Located on the 5th floor with
excellent security (even though Paris is a safe city) it
boasts open and engaging views out over most of the cemetery gardens
in the Winter, and for most of the year, a green canopy of thousands
of trees allows a partial filtered view onto these gardens…
The kitchen is completely separate, (not open style) and has
everything one needs for fully cooked meals, or just to reheat items
from the delicatessens. The bathroom is off the hallway, so is
accessible by all Guests (without disturbing the others). In fact it
is almost like 2 separate bedrooms at night, with lots of privacy.
See Amenities list for full details.
With its rolling hills,
thousands of trees, winding paths with carefully plotted "street"
names, and elaborate sepulchers and tombs, it's easy to see why Père-Lachaise
is considered Paris' most hauntingly beautiful place of rest. See
all of Paris from this gorgeous, comfortable apartment, and be sure
to bet your friends back home you have ‘discovered’ a place they
have yet to visit!
No children under age 14.

Hi Mary,
Actually it's a tip, I was intending to take the 25
euros out of the piano but left in a bit of a hurry. Thanks for
being an excellent apartment manager. I actually have other friends
planning to do trips to Paris in the following months and definitely
intend to recommend the Pere Lachaise apartment to them. I'll keep
you updated, and let me know if you have anything else in a
comparable price range that becomes available around June.
Best regards, Ronald
Of the 3 VacationInParis apts. we
have stayed in, this was the best- spacious, well-equipped, sunny- a
great home-away-from-home. Thomas even provides an extensive library
for guests' use. We visited with both Thomas,
the owner and Kareem, the manager- they were both friendly, helpful
and accommodating.
We plan to continue to use VIP for all of
our Paris vacations- the staff has been helpful and responsive.
Thanks again for all your efforts. Claudia L.,

This
is a wonderful, beautiful apartment in a true Parisian neighborhood.
I loved everything about it, especially the beautiful Pleyel piano -
my mom and I are writing a musical, set in Paris, and we used the
piano constantly. We were thrilled with everything about this place,
and this stay, and we will definitely be back.
Martine was
great - very friendly and helpful when we met her, and when we
needed to contact her.
You guys run a wonderful service, I've
already recommended you highly, and will continue to do so. Thanks
for a great stay in Paris. Kelly J., Ramona, CA |
