This Paris holiday rental is in a very convenient area, not so 'touristy', yet close to the well-known Marais (actually called the ‘upper Marais’). You are not far from the Beaubourg area as well. In fact many people treasure this proximity to the most HIP area, near the 3rd District’s City Hall, with such great shops and cafes around the rue Bretagne and a great market called "Le Marche des Enfants Rouges"…This Market dates back to the King Louis XV, around 1615. Your nearest Metro stop is on line 8 at Les Filles du Calvaires, which takes you directly to the Opera Garnier, Place Madeline, and Concorde, plus the Invalides and Eiffel Tower areas.

We loved the neighborhood. It was lively with lots of cafes and shops and we appreciated being so close to Rue de Bretagne as well as to 2 Metro stations. Very convenient. The kitchen was well-equipped and I can only fault it for a lack of counter space. We especially appreciated the combination washer/dryer which was a surprise. The apartment was immaculate. It was a wonderful experience.

This was a perfect apartment for a family of five with three kids. It is in a great area, that is not touristy at all, but gives you an authentic Parisian feel. It was reasonably priced and very near metro stations.

We also appreciated the Paris Map on the table and the guide books available in the apartment. We left our Paris Zagat guide there for future visitors. Thank you also for the "starter" toilet paper and paper towels. It was a huge help not to have to run out right away and purchase these items. We also liked the information that was sent prior to our stay - in regard to getting to and from the apt, money, etc. It was very helpful. All of these touches helped make us feel very comfortable in the apartment - we loved living in Paris for the week. We hope to return soon and we will of course contact you. Overall the apt was really comfortable, cozy, and clean. The furniture was a bit outdated, but wasn't bad. The towels were tough, but the linens were good.

Small but comfy and well-located. Easy walk to Republique square and the Metro, which is safe, clean and easy to use. Don't think of using the elevator if you are claustrophobic, it's very tiny. The telephone number given to us did not match that in the apartment book. We found that out when the driver called us - I could see him from the window but the phone never rang. Overall, a great deal and the service from VIP was flawless. Highly recommended!
We had a great experience and we'd recommend Vacation in Paris to anyone planning a similar pleasure trip. We were able to walk to Notre Dame, the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower from this location and we are in average health. It took a while but if you want to see Paris, this is the way to do it.
