This is a very convenient area, not so 'touristy', yet close to the well-known Marais (actually called the ‘upper Marais’). You are not far from the Beaubourg area as well. In fact many people treasure this proximity to the most HIP area, near the 3rd District’s City Hall, with such great shops and cafes around the rue Bretagne and a great market called “Le Marche des Enfants Rouges “…This Market dates back to the King Louis XV, around 1615. Your nearest Metro stop is on line 8 at Les Filles du Calvaires, which takes you directly to the Opera Garnier, Place Madeline, and Concorde, plus the Invalides and Eiffel Tower areas.

This one bedroom apt is of 34 sq mts (about 370 sq. ft.) and is located on the second floor of a well-maintained building. The elevator takes you up to a landing between the second and third floor from which walk down seven steps to the second floor. The bedroom has a double size bed and lots of closets, a large window, plus a second TV (this smaller TV does not have English channels, only local French channels).

The living room is large with a double size comfortable sofa bed (pull-out type) and likewise has a large window, facing out to a one-way street. All windows in the apartment are double-glazed, which provide very good sound insulation. The kitchen forms part of the salon, as it is of an ‘open style’. It has lots of counter-space, a small refrigerator-freezer unit, a four burner stovetop, an oven plus also a micro-wave. There is a small table that can unfold to accommodate 4 people for dining. You have use of the washing machine as well ( it does not dry but there’s a drying rack provided). There is a large flat screen TV, which does receive some English language channels.

The bathroom is large, with a bathtub and shower combo (shower head fixed to wall), a sink plus WC. There is also a towel warmer, which can be used to dry clothes as well. The bathroom is independent, located off the salon, (not via the bedroom).

Come and explore the Marias, and some new non-touristy areas of Paris you can tell people about…. but you will also be close and central enough to visit all the regular ‘standbys’ as well!
