A bright and cheerful apartment, this newly renovated (November
2008) property is in a great area near the Ecole Militaire
neighborhood and a little further afield is the Eiffel tower and
Village suisse's Antiques ( 15-18 minutes walk).. This is a perfect area to explore on foot, between the
church of St. Francois Xavier and the La Motte Picquet Boulevard
leading to the Invalides military museums and Napoleon’s tomb. In
fact, from the apartment you can just make-out the top of the golden
dome of Invalides, plus looking out sideways you can view the Eiffel
Tower in the distance.

The property owners have done a wonderful job in carefully
renovating this flat, with tasteful warm colors and comfortable
furniture. There is plenty of closet space, a newly redone kitchen
and bathroom, plus gorgeous wooden parquet floors. The building
itself is nicely maintained, with good security (although Paris is
very safe!). It is bright and sunny
with a westerly facing view, and
is located on the fourth floor (European count), with carpeted
stairs (no elevator). The apartment is quiet and tranquil.
The main bedroom features a Queen size bed, the second bedroom
has two individual twin size beds that can be fitted together, and
there is a double size comfortable sofa bed in the living room: The
apartment comfortably accommodates a total of six adults. The flat
is 64 m2 in size (685 sq. ft.), with a separate kitchen and a
hallway connecting the 2 bedrooms. The bathroom has a bathtub and in
the same room is a separate shower cabin. The WC is
conveniently located in a separate room outside of the bathroom.
A Flat screen TV, Internet access, free calls to USA/Canada, plus
of course local calls (except to mobiles phones), a washer/dryer,
dishwasher, a combo microwave oven & grill for toasting, and a stove
(no oven) are some of the
amenities that are available to you.
You can even walk to the rue Cler area in about 12 minutes and the
gardens of the Champs de Mars are about a 10 minute walk. There are
plenty of great restaurants all around the apartment, plus all of
the boutiques that landscape the rue St. Dominique a bit further
beyond.
We are sure you will enjoy this handsome and comfortable
apartment in such a great area of Paris. Whether you are just 2
people or 4 or 6, enjoy this place and have fun peering out at the
Eiffel Tower as it sparkles at night, or look out at the top of the
golden Invalides dome that is also lit at night!

This is a great apartment! We loved the 7th Arrondisement. We could
walk to lots of things. There was a Metro stop nearby (Ecole Militaire),
but there were no tourist crowds or noise. We managed to visit most of
the well-known Paris neighborhoods during our stay, and I would not
stay in any of those over this one. The apartment was perfect for our
family of five. Although we did not cook at home, the kitchen was
fully stocked with plates, cups, utensils, etc. Most of the
furnishings were very new, and the beds were comfortable. It was a
challenge to find a happy medium between scalding and frigid with the
bath/shower water, but that is the one and only drawback (and, from
speaking with friends, this is common in many Paris apartments and
hotels).
