What a lovely home in such a central and great location! Notre Dame is only about 7-8 minute walk, just across the bridge onto the island. St. Michel is very close by, plus the metro can whisk you off almost anywhere and is just a short 6-7 minute walk away. Don’t miss the twice weekly farmers’ market held on the small and quaint Maubert Mutualite square, where there is lots of fresh produce and great foods to either be prepared or just take home to reheat.

This apartment really feels like a home, with a very elegant large living room and adjacent dining room, where everyone can gather to share stories or plan the next day’s adventures. The old wooden beams have been not only exposed to provide character, but have been expertly decorated in this handsome setting. The solid wooden floor shines with its luster, from the abundant light entering via the several large windows that grace these two comfortable rooms. As an added feature, there is a beautiful upright piano that is kept well tuned by the owners, who sometimes enjoy to use the apartment themselves. Their excellent furnishing and care of the home is very evident, as it is in very good condition. Although you are just a half block away from the famous St. Germain boulevard, the high-quality soundproofed windows (same technology as used in airports) allows for a truly quiet and peaceful surrounding.

There are three bedrooms with all new beds (as of Dec. 2009): a larger master bedroom with a double size bed, the second bedroom has a twin size bed plus a folding cot, and the third bedroom has a twin size bed. Note that the two twin beds are a generous 36 in (92 cm) width by 79 in (200 cm) length.

The bathroom is quite large and includes double sinks, a large shower, plus a large bathtub which also has a shower above it (attached to wall). For convenience, the WC is not in the bathroom itself, but is separate. There is plenty of hot water for all, with a gas furnace which amply supplies the entire flat. There is a small laundry room with a washer (no dryer, just hanging dry rack).

The French country style kitchen is large and very complete- an oven plus 4 burner stove, a microwave, a large refrigerator and freezer. Plenty of cupboard and counter space and two windows make this a cheerful and delightful room to cook or gather while the tea or coffee is brewing. There is even a small table for 2 inside this large kitchen area.

The home is approximately 100 m² (1,080 sq. ft.) and is on the third floor with an elevator, of a well maintained building.
