Very large island apartment that is amazingly quiet and oh so comfortable for up to seven adults with the rare luxury of 3 bedrooms and 2½ bathrooms- space and facilities for all!

How about staying on one of the two small islands where Paris was originally settled? This is the smaller of the two islands, behind Notre Dame, which is mostly residential, yet also has the one main street filled with so many special boutique stores, cafes, charming restaurants and the famous ‘Berthillon’ Ice Cream shop as well! The magnificent building with huge inner courtyard is located right on the Quai de Bourbon, facing out westward towards the river Seine. This is mostly a quiet neighborhood, perfect for strolling about and enjoying the ‘River Scene’ where in the summer many people enjoy to picnic down by the water’s edge. This is just cross the Pont Marie bridge to access the closest Metro stop (named after the bridge).

The apartment is off the street and faces inner courtyards for a very tranquil and quiet surrounding. Located between the second and third floors (walk up to second European floor, then again another half-floor, no elevator).  This a duplex apartment - an apartment composed of several rooms arranged on two separate floors in which each floor may be accessed by a large comfortable wooden staircase within the apartment.

     * A small but complete bathroom with shower, sink and WC
     * A living room, which also has a sofa-sleeper for 1 or 2 adults.
Please note as shown in the photos, the upper floor does have some inward ‘slanting ceilings’  but as there is plenty of space for all, these do not pose a problem. This rather adds to the charm of the apartment, as this used to be an attic and over two hundred years ago was even used to store grain inside!

This flat is very comfortable and enjoyable. The kitchen has been modernized recently, with all new appliances, specialty coffee makers, etc. Everyone can gather around the extra large dining table to share the day’s stories or plan for the next day’s adventures…

There is a lot of light due to the many windows and the quietness of the building/courtyard will probably allow you to listen to birds singing! There is even an upright piano inside, in case you would like to join them….
