Central Paris - 5th Arrondissement

Located in a traditional
Parisian 18th century apartment building, this 25 square
meter (about 275 square feet) studio offers very
good value given its recent renovation, high standards and excellent
central location.
The apartment includes a new Queen size bed
(firm mattress), a small sitting area (2 large chairs and small coffee
table), a dining table with 2 chairs, cable TV, a decent sized kitchen
area and a small separate bathroom. There is a foam futon chair
that pulls out into a single bed for a third person. There is no
additional charge for a third person. For a view of the studio floor
plan, click here: Floor plan.
The
apartment is sunny and quiet; there are two windows, one facing the
street and the other the back courtyard area. The street-side window has
double glazing for comfort and security and the studio is located on a
smaller yet central street in the heart of the Latin Quarter, between
the Pantheon and Maubert Mutualité metro station. You can actually see
one of the spires of Notre Dame from the
front of the apartment.
The Latin Quarter is one of the
oldest districts in Paris, and has been home of French higher education
for over 700 years. The area is renown for its medieval sites and
churches, its colorful market streets and traditional restaurants.
For those wishing to visit much of historic Paris on foot, this
apartment is ideal.
At the end of the same street
is the Pantheon, where Victor Hugo, Voltaire and many other French
heroes are buried. A five minute walk from the apartment brings you to
Notre Dame Cathedral and the islands of Ile de la Cité and Ile Saint
Louis. The Sorbonne University, Luxembourg Gardens, the Cluny Medieval
Museum and the lively Maubert food market and Boulevards Saint Michel
and Saint Germain are all just a 10 minute walk from the studio, and an
additional 5 minutes of walking brings you to the Louvre Museum, the
heart of the Saint Germain district (with its interior design and
antique shops, restaurants and cafés), or in the Marais quarter. Not to
be missed is the lively market street of rue Moufftard just a few
minutes away from the studio apartment.
APARTMENT DETAILS:
This is a 2nd floor (European) apartment, overlooking both a quiet
street and courtyard area. The apartment sleeps two on the new Queen
sized bed, but a third can be accommodated with a fold-out single bed

clothing and the studio has a good floor plan with good sunlight. This
studio, at $120/night for 2 or 3 persons, offers very good value given
