In the romantic Montmartre area, this large one bedroom
vacation apartment is sure to
please,
with the added treat of being next to the small grocery store made
famous by the
well-loved French movie “ Amélie”…
Located in the picturesque section of Montmartre, the flat is very close to all the
attractions that Montmartre has to offer, the Art-Nouveau Abbesses
metro station,
and so many quaint coffee shops, restaurants, cobbled streets and
secret alleyways. It is the Artists’ dream
neighborhood, yet on a tranquil street itself away from the crowds.
The apartment itself is light, spacious and charming.
It is a large one bedroom that easily sleeps up to four
adults comfortably. One of the nice features is the extra large
kitchen, where ‘everybody’ can participate in meal preparations if
you are so inclined! If not, do not fret, all those great
bakeries and restaurants are just down the block! It has a high counter top
with four bar stools and includes most major appliances for your cooking
pleasure (see details below).
This Montmartre vacation rental has a Queen size bed in the bedroom and a
double size sofa pull-out sleeper in the living room for a total of 4
adults. All the furniture is recently purchased as this is a ‘new
home’ for these owners. It is furnished in a chic modern style with
classic French movie posters on the walls. The flat has a shower in the bathroom
as well as sink and WC. There are several
windows both on the street side (living room and bedroom) as well as
in the back (the kitchen area).
The area is steeped in history and interesting places
to visit. Two minutes away are the Abbesses metro, Amélie's
grocery store, the original bateau-lavoir (where Picasso painted the
Demoiselles d'Avignon), and many great bakeries and restaurants. Five
minutes away are Sacre Coeur Cathedral, the legendary Place du Tertre,
the Montmartre Museum, the Montmartre Vineyard, the Montmartre
cemetery, Montmartre Windmills, and rue Lepic with its busy street
market. Also nearby are Pigalle, the Moulin rouge, and the Gourmet
district of rue des Martyrs. All over the neighborhood are
breathtaking views of Paris.
Whether you have seen the movie Amélie or not (you
definitely will want to after your visit), you are sure to enjoy this
apartment in the Artists’ corner of Montmartre/Sacre Coeur!

We LOVED it. It was exactly as represented and the
location was perfect.
Montmartre is such a lively neighborhood with
excellent shopping and boutique restaurants. We adored every second
and having an apartment as a home base made life much more serene
I do want to say that there was noise out on the street on Friday
and Saturday night, but I think that's part and parcel with the
location we were in. It wasn't enough to keep us up late, and the fact
that we were two or three blocks from the metro Abbesses and were
surrounded by yummy restaurants and fun shopping absolutely made up
for it. I would recommend vacationinparis.com to ANYONE, and I would
recommend that apartment in particular.

Both my wife and myself found the apartment to completely satisfy our
needs 100%. The area
was homely and village-like making our stay very satisfying. So much
in fact that my wife would even live there.
Location is tops. Close to Metro. Give apartment 5/5 in terms
of location, amenities and character. One small note to feedback to
owner would be some simple instructions in English on how to operate
the dishwasher and washing machine.
