 This
comfortable one-bedroom apartment can sleep three adults (or two
adults and two children) and is on a
picturesque cobbled street right on the “Butte de Montmartre”. From
the balcony you’ll have a view over the rooftops of Paris, right down
to Notre Dame and the dome of the Panthéon the other side of Paris.
Renting a private apartment is a very different way of visiting Paris
– you’ll have all the comfort of a good hotel, but also the relaxation
and freedom of being “at home”…
The apartment is right in the heart of Montmartre, on the side of the
hillside, just a minute away from the Sacré Coeur and the famous Place
du Tertre.
The apartment is situated on rue Paul Albert, a narrow, steep cobbled
street, which runs down the hill towards two sets of steep typical
Montmartre-style steps (one of which leads up to the Sacré Coeur), and
a tiny “place” with a handful of cafes and restaurants, shaded by the
trees of the pretty Sacré Coeur gardens and hung with lights in the
evenings. The street and the “place” have a very lively atmosphere and
are extremely picturesque - several films have been shot here! - but
happily the street remains off the direct tourist track and you'll
find most of the people enjoying the cafés are locals rather than
visitors.
The apartment is within easy reach of three metro stations: Abbesses
(line 12, north-south Paris), Château Rouge (line 4, also north-south
Paris) and Anvers (line 2, east-west Paris). For exploring Montmartre,
the “Montmartrobus” stops very conveniently just at the top of the
street.
