Luxembourg-Port Royal Specialty Two Bedroom Holiday Rental

The owners of this property have undertaken a complete floor to ceiling renovation, transforming this great space into a two bedroom and two bath apartment with quality furnishings. If you love peaceful, tranquil surroundings, this place is sure to please. It faces a large tree-filled courtyard, which is so calm and peaceful that you can hear birds singing on warm summer mornings, if you leave open the windows!

The owners themselves use this great apartment sometimes, so they wanted to ensure in the complete renovations that it is fully equipped and very comfortable indeed! It features two full bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with two twin beds (which can be fitted together to form a king size bed as well). The living room sofa can also be unfolded into a double-sized bed.

The apartment also has two bathrooms: one, attached to the master bedroom, with wc, sink, bathtub and washer/dryer; a second shower and sink attached to the second bedroom, and a separate wc and sink.

The kitchen is open or “American Style,” facing out to the living room, for ease of access and a spacious feeling where everyone can gather in the combined rooms.

This area is just a stone’s throw to the famed and oh so gorgeous Luxembourg Gardens! Designed (and paid for) by the Medici family from Italy, these Gardens actually form part of the French Republic’s

Senate grounds and are therefore enclosed/gated, to be open only during the daytime. They are probably some of the most breathtakingly beautiful gardens in the world. From there, the short stroll to the heart of St. Germain des Pres area is one of our favorite walks in the city- through small alley ways lined with book-sellers and specialty stores.

You will be close to transport as the convenient Luxembourg RER stop is just a 3-minute walk from the apartment. This area is so convenient, with the busy student packed Latin Quarter just to one side, and the Mouffetard-Place Monge shopping are just beyond, and of course a straight shot to the grand St. Michel boulevard, which leads to the Seine, Notre Dame and beyond.

The information provided by your office and directions to the apartment were very useful. We especially needed and used the instructions on how to operate the foreign appliances. As advertised, the apartment was extremely quiet, on a quiet side-street. The beds were quite comfy, although there were no sheets for the sofa bed, which may be a French/American difference. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped and we used it twice a day for meals. We enjoyed the reading lamps in the bedrooms, the Wi-fi and having the washer and dryer. There was dish soap, dishwasher soap and trash bags, so no need to round those things up. Some guests might be inconvenienced by not having bath soap there on arrival though. The three flights of stairs really weren't a problem. The whole visit included so much exercise, it just fit right in. We enjoyed living like Parisians for a week and would never consider staying in a hotel. I will recommend your business to my friends. Thank you.
