Rue Cler is a true " VILLAGE ATMOSPHERE" within Paris, with so many fruit/vegetable/food stands, which are supplied directly from the farmer in the countryside. You will stroll this cobblestone-pedestrian street along with all the French shoppers, with your basket in hand to collect all the freshest produce and goodies you desire! There are many food and specialty shops, including not only French, but Italian and diverse-Mediterranean as well. The flower shops spill over onto the road, bursting with a flurry of color and fresh cut flowers. People bustle about, choosing just the right ingredients while going from shop to shop; the right virgin oil, the best mushrooms, advice on which wine to compliment your food, and of course a pause for coffee either standing or sitting down, while enjoying some of the best people watching around! Which coffee or lunch place to choose? So many, you can change each day!
This apartment is located on a quiet open courtyard with large evergreen trees just outside the windows. The building itself is next to a great gem of a southwestern style French Bistro, and just around the corner are your bakeries and grocery stores as well. On the third floor, it is easily accessed by the wide gentle stairs, and is the only apartment on the entire floor, adding again to its guaranteed quiet/tranquil atmosphere!
The property owners love Paris and have ensured all comforts are supplied! It features: a
king sized bed (which can be configured as two separate twins with a chest of drawers between) fitted a large "top mattress" in the bedroom, an excellent high quality queen size sofa pull-out sleeper in the separate living room, and a good size kitchen and bathroom areas, with an extra large hot water heating tank for your comfort! It is air-conditioned for those hot summer days as well. There are three large double pane windows facing out to the quietest of courtyards, so all rooms feature a window, including the kitchen and bathroom.
A full dining table for up to six people and a completely outfitted kitchen, with large refrigerator, dishwasher, oven and microwave, stovetop and many specialty items such as cappuccino/coffee makers, copper pots for cooking, all new dishes and cutlery will ensure you enjoy to cook!
Additionally, there is a separate room for both your luggage storage and the separated washer and dryer units (on the same floor and locked for private use). While this apartment was fully renovated in late 2008, we would like to point out there are some small areas of peeling paint, or small cracks in the paint on walls. As this building is form the mid-1800’s (19th Century), when only wooden beams were used, the building does sometimes shift a tiny bit and can cause the paint to peel/crack. Everything else is in top shape and working fine.
