Two Bedroom next to Luxembourg Gardens |

Right across the street from what may be the most beautiful gardens
in France (Europe? the World?)- the strollers’ paradise of Luxembourg
Gardens. Mind you, there is much more to do than stroll there! For
kids they have Pony rides, puppet shows, playgrounds, miniature
sailboats in the pond, - and for big kids they have basketball,
tennis, jogging or the ultimate sport of “people watching” from your
lounge chair!

This is a spacious two bedroom, one bath apartment, up on the last
floor of a great building ( take elevator to fifth floor and walk up one
flight of stairs to the sixth floor European count). It has windows
which face out West over much of Paris and include views of the Eiffel
Tower, Invalides golden dome and even Sacre Coeur (with a bit of a
stretch of the neck…). It is a comfortable apartment that sleeps 6 adults,
with a Queen size bed in master bedroom, and a double bed
in second bedroom and a sofa sleeper for two in the living room.
Although just painted and freshened up (August 2006) it does have some
of that ‘old World charm’, with well worn parts - not modern, but
charming and comfortable.
The kitchen is open to the living room and has a small
fridge, washing machine and small dishwasher as well. The bathroom has
a good size shower, with the WC in the bathroom as well.
It is located on the wide St. Michel boulevard, just next to RER
line B, which connects directly to Charles de Gaulle airport and other
major metro lines. To the backside of the building you are just steps
into the active Latin Quarter, with so many sights and great
atmosphere, plus countless restaurants and cafes.
If you want to have a large 2 bedroom, not too fancy, but in the
best location, stroll over to this great place and then keep on
strolling to the most beautiful gardens around!

This was an EXCEPTIONAL APARTMENT. The amenities were
absolutely great. The view of the Eiffel Tower from the window was
unbelievable. It was a bit scary at night being a single female and
having to walk down the dark hallway to get to the light switch, but
none the less, I would rent again. It is more of a neighborhood feel
than right in the middle of the action, however, the St. Michel RER
stop is only one stop away. The apartment was spotless, the telephone
worked and was a great help, the building was quiet and I do believe
that part of the building functions as office space. Definitely a
wonderful place for a larger group of 4 -6 people, however there is
only 1 bathroom, with a MARVELOUS BATH TUB, I might add. All in all my
experience with VACATION IN PARIS was STELLAR!! Excellent customer
service, easily reachable, even from Paris, and staff was always
knowledgeable, kind and eager to help. They will definitely be my "GO
TO" agency for future bookings in Paris!
Karen B., PARIS APARTMENT # 148
I wasn't sure what to expect when renting an apartment in a city I had
never been to. But, after some suggestions, it looked like the Latin
Quarter was the place to stay. I admit, it was completely on a whim
that I rented this apartment, and I was a little worried when we got
there. But, upon entering the apartment itself, all of those worries
were washed away. The apartment was immaculate, and the view out of
the windows was absolutely breathtaking. The neighborhood was also
incredible, especially for a visitor in his mid-20s, and I highly
recommend this apartment and the Latin Quarter in general to a small
group of people looking to immerse themselves in the stimulating and
vibrant French academic scene. The amenities provided- everything from
classical French literature, to outlet adapters, to dishes and board
games- were incredibly useful. The TV was a little confusing, but I
think that's only because I don't speak French. The one thing that I
caution renters on is to be careful with the shower nozzle. Like most
European places, this shower lacked a curtain, so maintaining a dry
bathroom floor was a challenge, but a minor one at that. I think it's
a small price to pay for such a great place, a fantastic location, and
ultimately an amazing deal. For all of my insecurities about renting a
place, I now think it's the only way to go. If you're going to Paris
for more than just a couple days, rent an apartment and you won't
regret it. And if vacationinparis.com's other properties are like this
one, rent from them, and you'll have the time of your life. I will
definitely be a returning customer.
