Located only a few feet from beautiful Luxembourg Gardens, this apartment is within close walking distance of St. Sulpice, St. Germain des Prés, and Montparnasse. This is a very up-scale residential section of Paris’ historic Left Bank
(6th Arrondissement) where the Last Tango in Paris was filmed. It is ideally
situated for many of the Left Bank attractions.
 Facing the courtyard, this
5th floor apartment is joyfully bright, sunny and very quiet.
Large and well decorated, with two bedrooms, the apartment is 67 m2 in size (approximately 720 sq feet). It has an enclosed kitchen, a large living room space, with good size windows for lots of light all day long, and air conditioning for the warmer days in August, along with a full bath and shower, plus a separate W.C. The newly renovated building is quite handsome and well kept, featuring a cage-enclosed wooden elevator, and a concierge.
The apartment is just a 2-minute walk from the gates of the Luxembourg Gardens.
In case you don’t know it, besides its beautiful trees, flower beds, vistas and fountains, the “Luxembourg” also features an expansive playground for toddlers and kids, including lots of outdoor facilities (swings, climbing areas, ‘soft-ground area’) plus puppet shows, sailboats to push in the ponds and even ponies to ride! There are paths to jog on, basketball and tennis courts, and for a slower more serious pace the French ‘boules’ or pétanque. Many people take in a summer band session under the Gazebo... or you can just sit and people watch, like the French do!
Rue Vavin is a great street with several 'must have' shops, like the famous chocolatier Jean-Paul Hevin (perhaps the best chocolates in Paris, if not the world), along with bakeries and cafes. The apartment is very quiet due to its ‘off the street’ exposure onto a quiet courtyard. It has a queen size bed in the master bedroom, and 2 twin beds in the second bedroom. A
comfortable sofa-sleeper in the living room can accommodate one child for a total of up to
4 adults and one child.
In this apartment you will be in the best of two worlds on the Left Bank…living in an authentic Parisian neighborhood near a very beautiful garden, yet only a short walk away from the tourist attractions of St.
Germain des Prés and Montparnasse.
Maximum occupancy is:
4 adults in three beds (one double bed, two twin beds)
3 adults and two children (one child may sleep on a
pullout couch)
NOTE: While most of our apartments do accept early arrivals, for this
apartment check in time is no earlier then 1:30 PM (13:30 local time).
Exceptions to this rule must be worked out with the property manager.

Hi Richard,
We have only recently returned home from our Europe holiday and
found your refund cheque waiting for us. We had a wonderful stay in
Paris at rue Vavin and hope to be able to return some time.
The apartment certainly met all our requirements and we would have
no hesitation recommending it to others - in fact I have responded
to someone by email in the US who was seeking our opinion in the
last week or so.
We completed the evaluation form before we left Paris and left it
with the representative we met however I will also complete the form

available to the four of us. For Nan and I, it was our first time in
Paris and we had a marvelous experience in "the city of light". The
location at 14 rue Vavin could not have been more ideal. We are both
ready to return ......next week! (or perhaps sometime within the next
few years). Everyone we met and talked with was friendly and
welcoming, and that of course would include you. Thank you for your
